This is the best way to learn about the 3 unique neighborhoods of Granada, the palaces, and gardens. Our guide, Jaimie, was very knowledgeable with perfect English, and a very nice person. We loved this tour!
Truly remarkable experience. We visited the Alhambra in the morning and Albaicin in the evening. Perhaps would have been better to split into two separate days but due to our schedule, one day was all we had left at Granada. The tour of the Alhambra was magnificent, full of breathtaking views, knowledgeable tour guide Carlos and ample time to soak it all in. Three hour walk around the grounds sound like a lot but our guide kept a comfortable pace which aloud us to enjoy the experience without overburden. Luckily we had a few hours after the Alhambra to go get lunch, go back to our hotel to freshen up and later meet our next tour guide for the evening tour of Albaicin and Sacromonte. That walking tour was physically challenging. The Albaicin area is steep with narrow alleys and uneven paved walkways. However the information and the views make it worthwhile. Comfortable shoes and plenty of water are a must!!
The palace interior is magnificent with rich details on walls and roofs I visited many places around the world but this kind of archicture is unique you can't find it elsewhere.
Great city visit. Don’t be mistaken that it’s only a palace. It’s actually a mini city. You need at least 4 hours to see the complex properly with Charles V castle and Alhambra museum visit in the end. A must see but a word of caution is to book the tickets way in advance as it is usually pre booked. And you don’t want to come all the way to Granada and mis this. One of the most well preserved sites of Muslim rule of Spain.
I dont write reviews, ever, but really wanted to write a note of commendation for this Nhue guide service on Viator. The Alhambra speaks for itself, but more importantly, this is the guide service to use. I actually tried booking through a different, cheaper service first, but they did not follow up to phone calls or emails before my trip, which made me nervous. So I switched to this service, even though it was more expensive, and it was WORTH IT. Nhue guide service emailed me multiple times and called with WhatsApp to provide very specific instructions where to meet, what time. Our guide was AMAZING. Highly informed and educated, took a lot of time with us, no rush, lots of photos. Also shared with us things about daily life in Spain, personal stories, and a real view not just into history but modern times as well. It may seem expensive, but the Alhambra is difficult to get tickets and a book or audioguide does not do it justice, and a large group tour is no fun. If you invest in one special thing for your trip to Spain, get this private guide service for your trip to Granada.
Really enjoyed this tour with our guide Edu, who was very knowledgeable and gave great insight to all we saw. We only had one day in Granada, so went with this tour to make the most of it. In addition to teaching about the sites, the history, and the culture, Edu added in some interesting facts tying in what we were seeing with how those things influenced language. Obviously as compared to some of the group tours we’ve done on this trip, the private tour is so much more engaging and you get way more out of it. Highly recommended!
Marta led us in an informative, fun and enchanting tour of the Alhambra in the morning, then the ancient Albaicin neighborhood in the afternoon. She wove together historical, religious and cultural insights, and sprinkled in ample doses of humor and mystery that left us spellbound. We recommend that you ask specifically for Marta.
Four of us had the wonderful Marta as our guide of the Alhambra for 3 hours - a break for lunch - then a discovery of the Albaicin neighborhood for 2.5 hours in the afternoon. Unfortunately for us, our tour day was when the drought broke and we saw a considerable amount of rain, particularly while maneuvering through the streets of Granada, Marta kept us at a good pace and has great depth of knowledge as well as a fine command of English. Nhue is smart to have good guides like Marta on staff.
This is worth the price to avoid all kind of hassle. Our tour guide Camra (I hope I spelled her name correctly :) was very knowledgeable and spoke very good English. She took her time to explain everything. We started with Alhambra in the morning and the tour lasted about 3 plus hours and then we had a lunch break. We met again at 3pm to start the Albaicín city tour which lasted couple of hours. I would highly recommend this tour.
See above our guide Carmen Quintero was brilliant certainly knew her stuff I have said everything relevant in the last review
The organizer did not provide the booked and paid ticket for the Alhambra and cancelled the tour to the Sacromonte. Nevertheless, he refuses to refund the amount of over 160 euros. The facilitator Tiqets is not helpful at all. I can only strongly advise!
A big thank you to the guide Mr. Sow. He knew how to convey to us all the emotions behind the history of the Alhambra thanks to his knowledge and his passionate and exciting stories. The tour was breathtaking, spectacular and the landscapes incredible. Thank you again Mr Cheikh Sow for this magnificent visit. Rita and Alexandre.
Eduardo (Edu) explained the visit with an overview that really brought me closer to the time, and all in a rigorous but entertaining way. Three o'clock was too fast.
We did a private guided tour of the Alhambra with Lucia and we really liked it. He told us a lot of stories and was very nice
Excellent guide Nina.Very nice visit, interesting and in very good French.Rhythm well adapted. We highly recommend this complete visit and this girl guide. PS: better indicate the 2h break between the two visits , from the booking!
A visit with our guide Marco Antonio, motivated as ever that made us live a moment of happiness... With impeccable French, dynamism and a touch of humour he took us back in time and discovered the secrets of the Alhambra... Thank you again and see you soon...
Lucia has been with us for almost 6 hours. I think he has very good knowledge of monuments and explains the technical aspects and legends with great grace. He is rating that he loves his job and passes on his knowledge to the people he serves. Very good choice
Carmen is very attentive to our questions. We had a great time and appreciate his comments. Excellent recommendations of the guide for the rest of our stay.
A very interesting tour to know the Alhambra and the Albaicín. Our guide, Maria, was very nice, pleasant and fun and made a visit full of anecdotes that we enjoyed very much. She made the day very special (thanks so much, Maria!). Highly recommended. We will repeat without a doubt. Chema and Gonzalo.
We loved this visit led in French by the brilliant Marco-Antonio. With a degree in art history, this enthusiast does not count his time or energy to make us discover all the wonders of the Alhambra. We loved it and recommend it warmly!
Highly recommended. Excellent our guide Martha providing all the knowledge, made us transport in the time. Interesting and enjoyable tour, Thank you, Marta.
