Riad Puertas Del Albaicin

Pros- Great location, and access to a great roof top deck regardless of which room you are in. We had room 5 which also has its own private patio and is overall very spacious. Two couples can easily use it if you don't mind sharing the bathroom. For the price, this place is pretty great but don't expect a lot of finesse. Keys/entrance/communication was fine- no issues. Cons- Doors and windows are not updated and have gaps and older closures so expect some air, light & noise coming through. Charm or nuisance- you decide. The bathroom had a terrible odor due to the shower not draining properly. The furniture is a bit stained and two kitchen chairs were broken. There was no dish soap, but you are expected to leave the dishes clean when you leave. The beds/mattresses squeak and not for the fun reason. The exterior plants/pots all had dead or no plants in them. We'd stay again knowing what to expect, but the rough around the edges aspect is not for everyone.

We stayed in apartments 2 and 6. The structure and renovation are splendid, and the location, in the Albaicín neighborhood, is perfect. Unfortunately, however, apartment 2 has serious humidity problems, and the house, even with the windows open, is extremely damp and in need of some work. Cleanliness, however, is absolutely lacking: both apartments were dirty (especially the bathrooms), and on the terrace of apartment 6 (which incidentally had unusable sofas due to their filthiness), there was dried dog poop there since the dawn of time. It's a shame, because the apartment has considerable potential; it just needs a few extra touches and a good cleaning.

The place is amazing and I am in love with the history of this place and it kept the same with small changes. As an Arab I will miss this place.
