I'm generally happy with everything; the spring water comes out very hot, and with my rheumatism, I'm delighted, although the lack of cold water meant I was very hot. I think the presence of a doctor is necessary on a regular basis due to the incidents that can occur, which are usually handled by the limited staff. I was previously told there were 10 people on duty in the bathing area, and now there are only 5. They are all wonderful professionals; only a few of us complain about one waitress, Montse (she should know how to treat people better, since she's there to deal with the public). Her manners and abrupt behavior are a problem. Her responses are curt and she's overly temperamental. If the water overflows, or if you ask for small spoons, she tells you to use the large ones (to eat yogurt) "that way it'll be finished faster!" She rudely told me I couldn't get a chamomile tea bag (outside of permitted hours). It was Saturday afternoon (the pharmacy was closed), my stomach was upset, and I didn't want to sit any longer in the cafeteria where I'd already had a decaf coffee. (She yelled at me as if I were stealing; I told her why, but she didn't care.) It just so happens that I didn't use the breakfast service (which is when it's open for tea) at all, and I sincerely thought a chamomile tea bag wouldn't be grounds for a reprimand. It made me feel terrible. However, we were delighted with the rest of the staff. The receptionists were very friendly, the entertainment coordinator was a 10/10—friendly and hardworking—and the cleaning staff were also fantastic, leaving the room spotless despite being very busy. All the bathroom staff were great, some for their friendliness, others for how well they maintained the cleanliness of the areas they were responsible for. The food was very home-style, very well cooked, and generally delicious, with plenty of desserts as well. One person in our group was bitten by mosquitoes, and some of us had nighttime coughs (could it have been an allergy?).
Relax total
Thermal baths and spa housed in an old monastery, located in a small village in the mountains. Beautiful location and the baths are wonderful but the modern hotel is ugly and has the feel of an old people’s home. Bedrooms are well decorated and clean and the staff helpful and friendly. The restaurant serves a good breakfast but lacks any sort of ambience for an evening meal. There are several other bars and restaurants in the village.
