Hotel Abades Guadix

Room was fine – breakfast was an absolute disaster! The hotel room itself was perfectly fine, and we have no complaints about it. However, the breakfast, which we had paid extra for, was an absolute disaster. As soon as a coach full of visitors arrives just to eat and drink at the hotel, the actual hotel guests seem to lose all priority. You are forced to wait in line for up to 30 minutes just to get a cup of coffee. Finding a clean table to sit at is almost impossible because the used tables are not cleared promptly. It is completely unacceptable that paying hotel guests, who have booked and paid for breakfast, are treated this way. As a hotel guest, you expect a certain level of service and, above all, proper organisation. This should never happen in a hotel. The breakfast experience was extremely disappointing and completely unacceptable!

The rooms were very good. The only problem was that the fridge was not plugged in, so it was not cold. I wanted to make my water cold, but unfortunately I couldn’t. The service was good. The receptionist spoke English and French, and luckily we could understand her well. She was also very friendly. The location is very nice. There is a Burger King next to the hotel, and the nearby petrol station was well stocked, so we didn’t have to worry about running out of fuel. Regarding the room, I would have liked to be able to see or adjust the temperature. There was only one button, so it wasn’t clear how to change the temperature.

MUCH MORE than a ' motorway services'! Hotel was v nice. Clean, lovely decor, staff were v helpful. We ate dinner in the ground floor 'public' restaurant and were v impressed.

Very comfortable and safe place to stop during a road trip. We needed some rest and the front desk staff was kind and accommodating. The hotel is cute, rooms are spacious and clean, beds are very comfortable, and it’s pet-friendly. Would definitely stay again.
