Hotel & Winery Senorio De Nevada

We went here for our honeymoon and was rather disappointed. Instead of being a romantic getaway we encountered problems and a feeling of being “out of season”. When we arrived the room which we had booked was not the room we got. We went downstairs and they said they would fix it and call us in five minutes. After 20, we called and they told us to come down to the reception. Afterwards the staff member went upstairs with us and showed us the booked room. We went by the pool, the pool bar looked as though it had not been functioning in some time. Luckily a very nice waiter from the restaurant could help us with cold drinks. The evening was quite nice with a good dinner and the same waiter. We were not able to get a wine tasting as they were closed to this. Our waiter made one for us at dinner. The next morning we got up early as we had an appointment in Granada. They had told us and shown a sign with breakfast starting from 7.30. We arrived 7.40, only cold meats and small yoghurts were out. We sat down and could see kitchen staff thorugh a window: they clearly saw us, but was busy talking and eating their own breakfast. We ended up going to the reception and they had to telephone the kitchen for a staff member to come out and ask if we wanted coffee. She seemed annoyed and made us feel like we were a nuissance for her. When we went for check out at 8.00, no heated breakfast had been set in place. I would not recommend this stay if you are looking for a four star service. It is beautifully situated though.

The venue is lovely, the staff friendly and helpful. But no organisation. The restaurant randomly closed despite booking. When you do get a meal, they deliver the wrong order. They favour large tables over smaller tables, so unless you’re in a group of 4+ you get no service. The friendliness of the staff and the venue make up for the sloppy mistakes.

We spent one night at Señorío de Nevada and had a fantastic experience from start to finish. The setting is absolutely beautiful, surrounded by vineyards with the Sierra Nevada mountains providing a stunning backdrop. We stayed at the hotel, enjoyed the winery tour, went for a bike ride through the estate and finished with a picnic among the vines. It made for the perfect couples' getaway. The wine tasting and winery visit were excellent and gave us a real appreciation for the wines produced here. Dinner in the restaurant was also outstanding. We particularly loved the wagyu tartare, and the coffee was surprisingly excellent too – often overlooked, but not here. We also enjoyed some time by the pool, which was perfect for relaxing and taking in the views. A special thank you to Felicidad, Noelia, Juan Miguel and the rest of the team for making us feel so welcome throughout our stay. A wonderful place that combines great wine, beautiful scenery and a relaxing atmosphere. We will definitely be back.

We had a wonderful stay at Hotel & Winery Señorío de Nevada. The location is beautiful, surrounded by vineyards and stunning mountain views. The rooms were clean, comfortable, and well maintained. The staff was friendly, professional, and always willing to help. The winery tour and wine tasting were excellent, with high-quality wines and a great atmosphere. Breakfast was fresh and delicious, and the overall experience was relaxing and memorable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to enjoy the beauty of Andalusia, great wine, and exceptional hospitality.
