I booked a standard room which was too small and located in a neighbouring building with poor air conditioning. The room was hot. The front desk was helpful in changing my room for an improved one at an additional cost of 50 euros per night. I recommend choosing a room carefully. The breakfast is a good spread but there are limited restaurant options for lunch or dinner.

Really disappointed with this hotel. The hallways are dingy and have a musty smell. My room sometimes smelled musty/dirty and I could hear the sound of running water constantly. The shower wasn’t properly sealed so water would run out underneath the glass and get the floor off the whole bathroom wet. Booked a room with a terrace but my whole view was of a dirty rooftop. The WiFi didn’t work at least half of time. It’s difficult to get to the pool area. In the evenings, you can only access the pool from one set of elevators (the ones not in my section of the hotel). So I had to take the elevator in my tower down to the lobby, go over to the other tower, then take the elevator there back up to the terrace floor. Sometimes there was nowhere to sit at the pool area in the evenings, and it was awkward to swim, bc the area turns into a trendy bar for college age kids and it gets very busy. At my other hotel in the area, the rooftop area was small but for hotel guests only, so I could relax there in the evenings. There’s no way to relax at this place when it’s packed full of people with loud music playing. I feel bad for anyone with a room below the pool terrace, bc the music is very loud.
A very special holiday, made unforgettable by the hotel we stayed in! The staff could not have been more friendly, facilities immaculate and rooms were so good. Elena on the front desk was particularly helpful. We had to organise a room change, through no fault of the hotel and it was done with ease and transparency. Prices for the stay overall were remarkably competitive; moreover, the prices in the bars weren’t hiked up because you’re sat by a pool or because you’re in a hotel lobby - inclusive tapas downstairs were also a touch. Especially when you’re getting a beer for €3! It was my thirtieth birthday and had 16 of us in the hotel who all had similarly positive experiences.
Perfect experience. Jonathan at reception was super helpful with amazing tips. All the staff was very friendly. The room cleaning team is superbeb. Rooftop beers very cold which added to the amazing views of the city. The pool is not super huge, so we need to be aware of the others so we can all enjoy the pool. For example, don't splash around in goggles for 1h while others are trying to enjoy a nice time. Or don't french kiss your partner in the middle of the pool. But this is more to do with common sense then with the hotel in itself ;)
Exceptional hotel, fabulous employees working there and in a great location. I loved the rooms; how nice and helpful the people working at the hotel were and how good quality the food and drink in La Santa Maria was. The rooms were super comfortable, clean and well appointed. I loved the pillow menu available and the ability to request things via the hotel app which was responsive and easy. In particular, I would like to thank Carlos (Mo) at La Santa Maria who looked after me very well and is a credit to the hotel, as all the employees are. The rooftop bar was fine but I felt it lacked a bit soul and energy and so preferred downstairs; that said, it is still a nice place to have a drink. I’d highly recommend this hotel and hopefully will visiting again soon.
