Our stay at French Leave was nothing short of exceptional. The location of the resort and the comfort of the villas were wonderful. Very uncharacteristically for us, we had every single meal during our stay at the hotel because the food was magnificent. What really stood out stay apart was the Team’s warm hospitality and service. LT was super helpful and Geneva took care of our daughter while we had breakfast as if she was her own. Finally, Dasra was incredibly helpful in catering for and anticipating all our needs. Can’t wait to stay there again.

This stay was absolutely amazing and probably one of the best memories I'll ever have. We were able to enjoy the sun, pool and the pink sand beach during our week here. I fell in love with this get away and I would recommend it to anyone who is trying to stay on the island of Eleuthura. On our first day, we drove around and went south, there wasn't much to do that way. But we did find the island farm which was a great place to pick up some food for our stay. Our breakfast was truly amazing when we ate at the restaurant on site. We always felt secluded and well taken care of. Our dinner there was good the first two times we ate there and then the third night there must have been a different chef, or they didn't prepare things correctly but everyone has their off days. Our cottage was called the sea castle, which was number 9. It had two bedrooms with two queens and everything was perfect there. They had some bug spray for us and our baby that was safe enough for his sensitive skin. It was a truly magical stay with the staff and their lovely customer service. We thoroughly enjoyed the grounds. As there were well manicured and taken care of. We were able to drive our golf cart to the pink sand beach across the street, which was quite a ways, So I wouldn't recommend it on foot. We were the only ones on the beach and its a nice place where they have beach chairs and umbrellas for the guests. We saw crabs at the rocky area which was pretty cool as well. If you ask the resort for any help doing anything, they are very helpful in setting up things for you. As in our charter boat with aqua bliss and our taxi from the airport waiting for us with a sign, to setting up chairs on the pink sand beach for you. Watching sunset and being able to get that view every day was amazing. Now I did hear that they're going through some renovations, but that bed was very uncomfortable. Whenever I brought it up to the manager, she said they are working on it. Thank God So that made me happy. Knowing next time we go, there's gonna be new beds because if there isn't, I truly don't think I would like to go back for multiple days. Other than that are stay was amazing which is a complete win and I would recommend this place to anyone and everyone who wants a relaxed and enjoyable stay on the hands down best resort on Eleuthura island. They made our stay very pleasant and the people alone were very genuine and nice, always trying to help in any way they can. The pool was very refreshing and it feels very secluded. Inside of the managers' office area, they had some hats and sunshirts which we had to get some!! The other guest that we talked to while we were there though very seldom. We saw them because the property is laid out in a very strategic way that no matter how many people were there. We rarely saw anybody, but whenever we did, everyone else was very nice and were enjoying their time as much as we were. They cleaned our room perfectly, and we were a mess with the baby. We had a golf cart that we drove around in, and they made sure it was full of gas every morning, which that's probably one of the best things about this place. If you can just ride around in a golf cart on the property and to the beach you are set for an amazing stay. Oh and if there's anything that you would want, and you don't see you just ask, and they literally go to the store and go get it for you. There are boat slips there so you could tie up your boat and go have lunch or dinner at the awesome bar. So it is open to the public. However we usually just ordered to go. Or we tried to find some amazing local spots like Val's near the Eleuthura sign across the bay and squires village for some amazing coffee. Just an hour's drive away. Is the sapphire blue hole and where aqua bliss charter docks out of. We went to harbor island ( 5$ ferry) and also enjoyed some food there from queen conch. Talk about fresh and delicious.I loved the island people and the love of life that they have. All in all they are accommodating and it's a lovely property for memories.
My family’s stay at French Leave Resort was great overall. However, there are a few things worth knowing before you book. If you have young children who always need activities and entertainment, the resort may feel a bit limited, as the main amenities are the pool and the beach. While both are beautiful, some families may find the options somewhat repetitive after a few days. That said, the pool is excellent, and the beach is very secluded and peaceful. During our stay, there were never more than five other people there, which made it feel almost private. If I had one complaint, it would be that some of the facilities could use a little attention. Our toilet constantly squeaked, and we experienced a few other minor maintenance issues. Our golf cart also had a couple of problems during our stay. Despite those issues, we had a wonderful experience overall. A special thank-you goes to the staff, who were consistently friendly and were probably the best part of the resort. Geneva and Keith were our absolute favorites: always kind, funny, efficient, and smiling. That said, every staff member we encountered was excellent and helped make our stay memorable.
We stayed at this resort for my wife's birthday, told them ahead of time and arrived by boat. I am Marriott Elite member so was excited to check this resort out. I had to call twice once we arrived to get help at the dock with luggage, took 15mins before someone came. Nobody else at the docks, very few guests anywhere. We get to our "oceanfront villa" (a small bungalow), $1k+taxes/night - the front door is stuck, patio door also - the TV doesn’t work - the room phone doesn't work (to reach lobby or restaurant) - no microwave, no way to heat anything We are told "luxury guests don't want a microwave" and "cable service is down". I complain to a manager and then we are moved to the next villa, cable works fine, and a microwave is there. Then the next day I'm asked to relocate my boat because another guest prefers the dock space I'm in? I declined to move it and we left the day after. This is totally absurd for this price point, clearly the people running this resort stopped caring awhile back. We stay at 5-star resorts frequently and this is nowhere near the level it claims. Marriott need to pay attention here! Expect the management will reply to this review and claim "we promptly moved you to another room" but only after I went an got a manager's attention. Prior to that we were left in a room where nothing worked! Have to do better!
Dined at French Leave Restaurant last night and it was a letdown. The appetizers were mediocre at best, and being asked to keep my fork for the main course felt odd and not in line with the pricing. The seafood pasta ($50) was disappointing—rubbery seafood and a watery sauce made it hard to enjoy. To make matters worse, someone in our group had to send a hamburger back twice because it was raw. Overall, the experience was overpriced and poorly executed. Definitely not what we expected.
