Lovely hotel had a wonderful room with balcony to enjoy the view. Fantastic breakfast in a hotel , one of the best we have had in some time and we travel often. Enjoyed 2 evening meals with friendly staff and nice food. Also used the bar twice but found it had a strange atmosphere, not overly friendly and staff not always aware who to serve next. 1st night we felt invisible....strange. Overall we loved our stay and would stay again.

What an amazing iconic hotel. Beautiful views, great pool next to the botanical gardens and a bar with views across to Spain. Two lovely weddings were on on the night we stayed one on The Terrace and one in Alfred's restaurant. The fabulous waiter Juan made sure we were set up on a window table so we could see the sun go down in the bar area instead. He was a tremendous asset to the hotel with a big smile and nothing is too much trouble attitude. Adrian who checked us in was also very professional and gave us extra info about the hotel. He encouraged us to go to the pool ( glad we did) and booked us in for dinner . We loved the traditional vibe here and will definitely be back before we fly out of Gib airport again.
A fantastic hotel. Absolutely top of range with rooms, service and even food in the restaurant. Delicious and tasty. The salt water pool is very nice and even the food and drinks in the "snack bar" was super great. It would have been nice though with a mattress on the sunbeds and not only a towel. Smoking outside the hotel which is very good - but maybe a little table and a chair in a corner would have been nice All in all - Absolutely recommended
We had a wonderful stay at the Rock Hotel. The food was excellent, the service was excellent, and the overall atmosphere of the property is charming and unique. The rooms were comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The biggest frustration was the electrical outlets. The hotel offers American, British, and Spanish-style plugs, but the setup was surprisingly difficult to use. The American outlets are not polarized, which meant we could not use a hair straightener. For a bride getting ready for a wedding, this was a significant inconvenience. The Spanish outlets that worked for our chargers were not conveniently located near the bed, making it difficult to charge phones overnight. Another challenge was that some of the housekeeping staff spoke little or no English, which occasionally made communication difficult. The pool is not located directly on the hotel property and requires crossing the street. While not a major issue, it does take away from the convenience of having an on-site pool. Parking was also less than ideal, and the walk up the hill can be tiring, especially after a long day of sightseeing. That said, the location has its advantages. The beautiful gardens next door are a wonderful feature and provide a peaceful place to walk and relax. Overall, this is a fantastic hotel with excellent food, service, and character. Addressing some of the practical issues with electrical outlets and parking would make the experience even better.
Beautiful hotel staff very friendly and approachable, rooms were very clean well equipped and comfortable. Pool area was perfect and food was delicious. We were in Gib for my Granddaughter's Holy Communion the lunch and whole afternoon was perfect so thank you for helping make lovely memories for my family. Hope to come back soon.
