Absolutely fantastic hotel with stunning views and excellent service. Everything was lovely, from the atmosphere to the rooms, and the whole experience felt special. Definitely one of the best places to stay in Gibraltar. Would highly recommend and would love to return!
Check in: We arrived early and our room was ready so was able to check in before time, we were handed a couple of glasses of sparkling wine also which was a nice touch. Room: Our room was on floor 4 and was facing the marina/airport. having the airport so close was not an issue with limited flights and was actually rather nice watching landing and take off. the room was spacious with separate shower and toilet cubicles with bottom washer :-). the phone in the room can be used to access the lights, curtains, air con and service calls as can the wall plate. housekeeping very good, we ordered tea tray extras via the app and phone. Barbary Restaurant: Buffet breakfast. Was plentiful, cooked breakfast with many egg options and also an omelette station, continental options also. Afternoon tea. We had an afternoon tea with Cava upgrade and our glass was never empty and the food was delicious. Gastrobar: We had dinner in here on the first night and cannot fault the food or staff, they all worked well. Pool Bar: We ventured here most afternoons and was a nice touch when the barman remembered us and recalled what our favourite drink was. we would have conversations with staff whenever possible and they were always helpful and polite from reception staff to the lovely man mopping the decks who we had a chuckle with. Location: 15 minute walk from the airport. 10 minute walk to the bus station / nature reserve shuttle bus plenty of restaurants within the marina area, Gills was nice indian and Thi was excellent Vietnamese. Dolphin adventure HQ is 2 mins from the ship and E bike tours also. WE WILL BE BACK
A very nice hotel and a very nice stay in Gibraltar. The Sunboat definitely has a lot to offer. I stayed in a standard king-size room, the basic room that was available. I was away on business for a couple of days in Gibraltar, and the room was very big, very comfortable, with fantastic showers and beautiful views of the runway. Being located in Marina Village is excellent, with easy access to plentiful restaurants, bars, pubs, and the casino, Admiral. One observation: the Casino on the Sunborn Gibraltar really is no more than a few machines, but you can hardly call that a casino. The actual original casino was converted into conference facilities, if I'm not mistaken, but that doesn't matter. Right next to the boat is Casino Admiral, which is a really impressive casino. Loved it!
Absolutely loved the hotel, from the moment we stepped on board we got a warm welcome and free glass of prosecco, hotel looks and feels immaculate inside and really gives a wow factor when you step inside , Rooms were also fantastic with ample storage and the bathroom facilities were top notch with the shower being so powerful and massive. the facilities onboard were also great and had a few nice meals and breakfast was lovely again with prosecco on tap should one wish to indulge. all in all a top hotel and one we will definitely visit again,
We stayed for 1 night as they had a experience on offer which included Dinner all you can eat breakfast and Dolphin spotting. The staff were amazing and could not do enough for you. the rooms were a little dated and the wardrobe door fell off. Which doesn't make it sound great but I'm sure that was just a one off. The Breakfast was great if not a little cold. However the chef who cooks the omelettes to order was fantastic and the best part of it. Just need to be warmer as much was cold. That said if i had asked I'm sure the staff would have warmed it up. Dinner again was very nice and over all the experience with 2 meals a bottle of Cava and the trip made it superb value. The staff really make the place and i suppose save it from a slightly worse review.. I would 100% go back though.
