Great tour of the city. Thorough & interesting information of Ghent’s history, the area today, and fun details. We loved exploring the city, going at our own pace, and not worrying about hearing a tour guide over the noise of a large group. We will do this type of tour again.
Very pleasant way to walk the city at my own pace with interesting tidbits and could walk in my own order.
We met our guide near St Michael’s Bridge, close to the hostel. Our guide was delightful, engaging, and knew his city and its history well. He shared many entertaining stories about the city and its evolution from a market square to the city that it is today. Our guide wore a nooses around his neck, symbolic of the strong spirit and pride of Ghent. USA Sisters
We downloaded the app and got prompt assistance by email when requested. The guide itself was very interesting and informative. Using our mobile phones we could track our route and identify locations from the photos included. We soon got the hang of it. It was also possible to listen to it again later on.
The audio guide for Ghent was a perfect way to explore the city! It led me through the city’s historic center, pointing out places like the castle, Saint Bavo’s Cathedral, and the Graslei. The guide was very well-organized, with just the right amount of detail. I loved being able to wander through the city at my own pace and learn more about its history without feeling rushed. If you’re planning to explore Ghent, I highly recommend using an audio guide.
I could clearly understand the speaker. The map made it easy to follow. This is my first time doing an audio guide and I enjoyed it.
Awesome city and awesome audio guide. We fell in love! Lots of interesting detailed information, food recommendations and local legends and tales. One of the best guides I've heard!
Tour content did not download. There was nothing received. Tour did not download. Tour did not download
Easy to follow route, great because you can go at your own space and skip items or places you don’t care to see or visit.
"Absolutely loved the Ghent audio guide. It was detailed and engaging, making our exploration of the city so much more insightful. Learning about the history and stories while walking around was fantastic. A fantastic companion to any Ghent visit. - Anna Thompson"
We love taking a walking tour on the first day in a new city. When we did a last minute visit to Ghent it was not possible to find a tour. I ran across this self guided tour and was very surprised how much I liked it. Easy to follow and you still get the stories about the area you would with a live guide. And the bonus is you can stop at pubs along the way and continue the tour when you want. Be sure to download the guide while on WiFi, before you arrive. It was a simple process but did take me a bit of reading how to do it.
We visited all the points in Ghent by bike. However, the road surface is sometimes very bumpy. We got a nice impression of Ghent and enjoyed the day very much.
The app was a bit difficult to get used to at first until one understood how to use it. There is plenty of information about individual sights. I can only recommend the app to anyone who wants to explore the city at their own pace.
This is not the first time we have consulted this app and we are pleased. Group guides are not for introverts and they do not allow you to enjoy the tour at your own pace. with the audio guide we were able to go through every location, enter museums and cathedrals, stop for a break and take beautiful photos. and we also learned many cool stories that we would definitely not have heard if we were walking alone. The audio guide tells everything in a simple manner, makes appropriate jokes and does not turn the walk into a lecture. I advise and will take more!
Interesting visit, from the historical and cultural point of view, and "statistical" that also takes us outside the center of Ghent.
We were able to take the 2. Do not activate person. It was also very difficult to get in. The 3-D navigation was not clear.
Great city tour! Informative and entertaining. Possible at your own pace and with interruptions. Well explained and well managed. For questions great support that answers and helps almost immediately. Thank you, glad to include more cities!
