All rooms at NH Collection Gent feature design furniture and flat-screen TVs. They have a spacious bathroom that comes with free soap and shampoo products. The on-site restaurant Van Artevelde serves traditional local cuisine in a warm atmosphere. The bar is a great place to meet for a traditional Belgian beer and delicious cocktails. When weather permits, the hotel’s outside terrace is a perfect place to enjoy the sun. The garden lounge bar is also an attractive environment for unwinding after a long day. From this excellent location, guests can easily walk to all the main attractions such as St. Nicholas Church or Post Plaza Shopping Center.

The NH Hotel has an excellent location, in the center of Ghent’s charmingly beautiful and historic town center. Staff is attentive and friendly. Our room on the third floor was comfortable and clean. Our group was treated (in- house) to a delicious 3 course meal, accompanied by a choice of red and/or white wine, on our first night. We enjoyed a salmon tartare patty as a light first course; a red veal and root-vegetable second course, and a sublime 3-chocolate mousse to finish. Highly recommend NH!
The location was spot on. In the heart of old town , and a stone throw from the clock towers and both churches.
The breakfast is one of the best we’ve had in Europe. The variety and choices to satisfy every palate. A huge shoutout to Markee and team at the breakfast buffet for their excellent service and delicious food. We ate an incredibly delicious Belgian waffle.
The staff at the Cafe artverde were extremely gracious and friendly.
We loved our overall stay at NH selection Ghent.
The hotel is very conveniently located, with easy access from the station via tram lines T1 or T3 followed by a short walk. We were pleased to be able to check in early, which was much appreciated. We stayed for two nights.
As we did not have breakfast at the hotel, I cannot comment on that aspect. The room was spacious, clean, and comfortable. One minor drawback was the limited natural light, as the window felt quite small in proportion to the size of the room.
The hotel also has a pleasant viewing area for watching football and other sporting events. A small touch that would have enhanced the stay would have been providing two bottles of water in the room, as there were two guests and the complimentary bottles were quite small.
There are also a few maintenance issues that could be addressed. In our room, a switch cover was missing, leaving the wiring and electrical components exposed, which should be attended to for both safety and presentation. Overall, however, the stay was comfortable and the location is a real strength of the property
A very stylish and modern hotel right in the center of Ghent. The lobby and room interiors feel elegant and cozy, with warm lighting, a very comfortable bed, and plenty of pillows. Room 407 was spacious, quiet, and equipped with everything needed for a comfortable stay. The shower had an excellent water system and was very convenient to use.
The breakfast deserves a special mention. Honestly, it was one of the best hotel breakfasts we’ve had while traveling around Europe. A large selection of fresh and truly sweet fruits, fresh juices, plenty of desserts, and the option to order egg dishes separately. Everything looked fresh and high quality.
The hotel also offers convenient parking for 30 euros. Our room with breakfast cost around 205 euros, and overall we were very happy with the stay.
A couple of small downsides: the door latch occasionally got stuck, so the door would not close properly until it was adjusted by hand. We also noticed a stain on one of the towels.
Other than that, this is a very pleasant and stylish hotel that we would happily return to.

From the moment I booked, the communication was proactive, clear, and genuinely helpful. It set the tone early—and they absolutely followed through.
What really stood out was the level of care and professionalism from the staff. Giles, in particular, went above and beyond. You can tell this is someone who takes real pride in what they do. Every interaction felt thoughtful, not transactional.
I was also celebrating my birthday during the stay, and the team recognized it in such a warm, understated way with a dessert waiting in the room. It was simple, but incredibly well done—and genuinely appreciated.
On top of that, I was upgraded to a suite with an amazing view over the city. The room itself was beautiful, but the view is what made it special—especially at night.
Most importantly, everything just worked. Check-in was smooth, the stay itself was effortless, and checkout was just as seamless. No friction anywhere, which is exactly what you want.
This is one of those stays where you can feel the difference in how a hotel is run. Highly recommend.
