This is a really fun stop in downtown Savannah. It covers a lot of pirate history, as well as the local lore. They have a section on torture that comes with a warning incase you don’t want to bring young kids in there. They also have a kids section with legos and Pirates of the Caribbean. If you buy a ticket to the Prohibition museum too, you save a few dollars.

The museum was great. There was a few interactive parts that the kids really loved. The bar was a fun experience too. The kids drinks come with a potion, and a cute little saying gets recited while it's being poured. The whole museum was definitely a fun time.
It’s a self guided tour. Lots of interesting information posted. Nicely done. Lots of detailed ship displays. Several videos that we liked.
This was a sad excuse to sell you a drink , sure they had wax figures But it was all about reading tiny little print Nothing new to see Save your money Same goes for the prohabition museum next door
Very informative and also fun! Lots of information I never knew about pirates in privateers. There is a lot of reading, but re-read it aloud to our youngest and she enjoyed it. The wax figures are very lifelike.
Decent museum. It’s small, but you get to see and learn about pirates. I had expected more or real treasure. They have a pirate bar. We finished this museum in under an hour.
I had an amazing experience visiting the Savannah Pirates and Treasure Museum in Savannah, GA. The museum was fun, unique, and full of interesting pirate history that brought the past to life. The exhibits were engaging, creative, and enjoyable for visitors of all ages. I loved the attention to detail and how the stories, artifacts, and displays made the adventure feel realistic. It was a great place to explore while visiting Savannah and added something different from the typical attractions. I would definitely recommend this museum to anyone looking for a fun, educational, and memorable experience.
Wicked cool museum, lots of information presented in a fun way! Bonus there is a bar and some riddles to solve! Highly recommend!
It was a great museum for family with kids. The interactive pictures were very cool. . My grandson really enjoyed the scavenger hunt and I was surprised to see that they had a pub inside so you could get a drink while they’re solving this scavenger hunt.
Realistic wax figures. Cool videos. Well done museum!
My family loved learning all about the history. The museum is really interesting and enjoyable. Both our girls 4 and 10 were engaged. We participated in the puzzle at the end of the museum which was a lot of fun!
This one if it’s one or the other, wax models awesome
This was such a cool stop for us! I love pirates! Great thought and detail put into the exhibits and very engaging! And the bar at the end was amazing! The exit could have looked cooler and more obvious than just the red required exit sign on the ceiling but well worth the stop!
What a hidden gem!!! This museum all though small in comparison, it is full of great history. It’s must see when in Savannah. Be certain to watch the short film, you will be glad you did.
There are lots of facts about pirates. There is lots of reading so keep that in mind if you have little kids. I think this is most appreciated by adults as the kids seemed bored and kept asking parents what things said. My husband and I enjoyed it.
This museum was worth it. Adults & kids alike, what a cool place to learn about everything pirates. Not just the names we’ve all heard or read about, you learn about pirates from all over the world! It’s a really cool immersive experience. It takes about an hour or so. It’s also located right next to another cool museum and dining experiences next door..
The displays and information were great!!
Enjoyed touring this museum and learning more about male and female pirates. Very informative and fun.
This was amazing! We loved every second. The wax figures were so lifelike. The information was so great!! The ambiance was so awesome! The drinks were yummy! One of the funnest things we did!
We stumbled upon this, took a chance, and were not disappointed. It's not just for kids! There are some state-of-the-art components, some traditional exhibits, and some unique artifacts. It's a cool ambiance. There's a lot to learn and see as you bob and weave through the creatively organized space. Look for discounts online or with a hotel concierge. There's also a combo ticket available with the Prohibition Museum nearby.
The atmosphere was great and Jonboy was great to chat with. My buddy and I had a good time and it is worth a trip.
The Pirates and Treasure Museum is a fantastic addition to Savannah’s City Market! My son snd I discovered it today (it has only been open for 4 months), and we had to visit. We found it well planned and organized. Within the museum, you will find a movie theater that shows a short movie that outlines the history of piracy. There are also exhibits with drawings, paintings, wax figures, and artifacts that bring the history of piracy to life. Interactive displays and informative writings provide a deep dive into the fascinating world of pirates, making the experience both educational and engaging. One section includes a parental advisory due to its macabre content, which depicts the harsher realities of piracy such as torture, execution, and the display of corpses used as warnings. This area is clearly marked, allowing visitors to make informed choices. Near the end of the tour, we were delighted to find a pirate-themed bar, where visitors can participate in a fun scavenger hunt to solve a riddle before relaxing with a cocktail or mocktail. This creative touch added an extra layer of entertainment to the visit. Overall, the museum offers a perfect blend of history and fun, making it a must-see attraction in Savannah. We recommend it.
Definitely worth the price! I had a great experience with some friends. Loved the bar area as well. We spent about 1 hour going through the museum as there was a lot to see.
So fun and I learned so much! There is also a bar at the end for the over 21's. Very friendly staff and great experience.........
It was amazing and the s Torture part was amazingly terrifying. We learned a ton of new facts and the exhibits were awesome. I just can't get enough of this museum.
Very well maintained museum. Lots to see with interactive exhibits. Staff were very helpful and interactive!
The museum has recently opened and we were fortunate to visit it. It is right off of the trolley stop in the city market area so it was very convenient. Inside the displays were very detailed, easy to understand and well laid out. It was nice to see the displays moved in a historical order so it gave more meaning to the evolution of piracy not only in Savannah but across the world. The artifacts that were displayed also added a lot to the experience. Overall I would say the appeal of the museum could be for all ages as children and adults would fine things that interested them. We already recommended it to others.
So much fun! I highly recommend this museum. The pirate interacted with kids in the last part of the museum where there is a treasure hunt that the kids really liked. Lots of picture opportunities.
We self guided and we had a great time . So much information. The wax figures look so real . I purchased a drink ticket before when we entered so I could get a cocktail in the bar inside the exhibit. The bar was just one from that era of time . Very cool .
My daughter and I went to the new Pirate Museum in Savanah, Ga today. The atmosphere gives you a feeling of being below decks with pirates. The wax figures are incredible. I kept expecting them to move. It was very informative and made me want to learn more. The staff was helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. I will definitely be bringing my grandkids when they visit.
Went in my pirate getup! Best way to see it! Great time! Tavern not to be missed, mocktales too! Great staff, really enjoyed it- will be back!
