Our tour guide Janie (I am possibly misremembering her name) was amazing! She is a teacher who went into depth about the case as told in the book and what happened in real life. She was so thorough and even helped me come up with my psychology final based on this case! Highly recommend, and if you do get Janie (again, sorry, may be wrong), you are in for a real treat!

Itinerary
One of Savannah’s most iconic and allegedly haunted buildings, The Olde Pink House blends 18th-century elegance with a hint of the supernatural. Known for its fine dining and flickering candlelight, it exudes the Southern charm and mystery that define the city itself.
Nestled in the heart of Savannah’s Historic District, Colonial Park Cemetery is more than just a final resting place—it’s a hauntingly beautiful relic of Georgia’s colonial past. Dating back to 1750, this cemetery holds the remains of Revolutionary War heroes, politicians, plague victims, and tales whispered through the moss-draped oaks.
A beloved local diner with a timeless vibe, Clary’s Café has been serving up classic Southern breakfasts and hometown hospitality for decades. But beyond the biscuits and coffee, it gained international fame thanks to Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil.
A dive bar with deep roots, The Original Pinkie Masters is one of Savannah’s most storied watering holes—where locals, politicians, and eccentrics have gathered for decades over cheap drinks and bold conversation. Known for its unpretentious charm and vintage jukebox, it’s more than just a bar—it’s a local institution.
Standing in stately elegance on Monterey Square, the Mercer-Williams House is one of Savannah’s most iconic landmarks—known as much for its stunning architecture as for the scandal that made it famous. This 19th-century mansion became the epicenter of Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil, the true crime story that captivated readers and moviegoers alike.

People would be delighted to hear the story behind the movie and then some plus some other historical facts about Savannah.
Our guide was amazing! She was very knowledgeable and made the experience so much fun! We would highly recommend!
Very nice easy tour. Guide was informative. Especially if you enjoyed the movie. The bar stops are not part of the story just a way to enhance the experience
We only went to 1 of the 4 pubs listed in the itinerary, plus 1 other not listed. Guide (TK) was kind and knowledgeable, but we spent more time sitting than strolling. She also spoke very softly, good thing there was only a few of us. It wasn't a bad experience, just not what was advertised.
Absolutely wonderful - can't say enough good about this if you're a big MITGOGAE fan. Our guide, Austin, was just incredible with his knowledge of the book and history of Savannah. He was also so friendly and polite! 10/10 for this exquisite tour and pub crawl. Don't miss it!!!
Incredibly well-informed, well spoken and engaging, first hand accounts and details. Wonderful tour and experience, improved by the bars and drink recommendations!
Excellent day trip!! Everyone involved from pick up to drop off were funny, knowledgeable and friendly! A must if it’s your first time to Savannah, or your second.
Our tour guide Austin was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and was fun. The drink stops were great and we learned a lot about the Jim Williams trails. Highly highly recommend this tour for any night you’re staying.
This was an amazing experience! Our guide was very knowledgeable and an excellent story teller. As we walked the route, we stopped at some of the cutest bars and ordered delicious drinks. Our guide timed the parts of the story perfectly and held our attention the whole evening. I highly recommend booking this tour. While I don’t remember the name of our guide, I hope you’re lucky enough to have her!
Interesting murder case and history. Walking tour of sections of Savannah with some definite characters.
Great tour! Janie was amazing! Would definitely recommend this tour with her. We really enjoyed her story😊
A fun and informative pub crawl, highly recommend- our guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. Things moved quickly and she kept our interest. The tour helped us plan some other stops for the rest of our trip and gave us ideas.
The guide didn’t wait for us or let us know they cancelled the trip. It was only people from Our group and we arrived 2 min late.
This was truly the best tour my fiancé and I have ever had. It ended up being only us on the tour and we had Janey as our tour guide. Words can’t express how amazing Janey was! She was so knowledgeable and personable. Janey also took the time to give us some great recommendations to go to during our stay! 10000000/10 recommend!
We thoroughly enjoyed the mix of history and fun this tour offered. And our guide made it even more fun with her bubbly personality. Cocktails, local history, ghost stories, and murder mystery….its a good time!
They give a great background on the history of Savannah while stopping at cute bars throughout the tour! Would recommend
Janie was our guide and did a fantastic job! She added details I hadn’t heard before and recommended a related book for more of a deep dive into the trials of Jim Williams. The bars where we stopped were very nice with good drinks and super clean bathrooms. Highly recommend!
Our guide was great! I was under the impression that drinks came included but they did not. Totally fine, the experience was still great!
Casen was a very knowledgeable guide! He was the sweetest fella! I would definitely recommend him to everyone! We loved him!
The tour was very fun! The guide was extremely knowledgeable and entertaining. He answered all of our questions.
This walking tour hilighted some of the famous houses in the city. The guide was very knowledgeable.
We had a ton of fun! Perfect blend of fun and facts. Tricia gave us enough info to intrigue us blended with fact. Great tour!
Beware!!! False advertisement!!! This is not a pub crawl. It is only about the book and movie, which would be fine, but falsely advertised. We were excited to do this pubcrawl and to hear about the history relating to the book and movie. We booked on St. Patrick's Day weekend. The guide showed up late to the meeting place. Tricia Kennedy started off by saying that she wasn't sure that we would be able to get into any pubs that night due to the congestion of the weekend and that we would just walk around with her as she talked about the book and movie. She stated that as a regular practice she doesn't go to more than half if not all of the places listed on the Viator website. That the places listed on the website mostly had nothing to do with the book. When we asked for a refund, we were denied. Disgraceful and fraudulent. I will never use Viator again. They don't stand behind their own tours.
We really enjoyed the tour even with the icy sidewalks! Our guide was friendly, knowledgeable and really tailored the tour to our interests. Definitely recommend it!
Cason was great and accommodating for us especially considering the weather. We enjoyed the Savannah stories. It was so nice that he made sure we made it safely back to our neighborhood.
Great tour guide. Had loads of info on the city and lots of stories. I learned a lot about the town and some great pubs along the way.
I took this tour with my 24 year old daughter. It was a chilly evening and we were the only 2 on the tour. Austin was an outstanding tour guide! He gave us lots of interesting information about the history of Savannah and the intriguing whole story of Midnight! We only stopped into 2 bars, by our choice, but peaked in on several others. What fun this would be with a group! Highly Recommend! Thank You again to Austin!
We had a lot of fun on our tour! Our guide, Trish was very knowledgeable on the book (Midnight in the Garden of Good & Evil) and told us the entire (true) story. We visited a few pubs along the way to grab a cocktail for our walk. She also told us some history of Savannah along the way. Highly recommend!
Very informative. Our guide was wonderful. Savannah is beautiful. Love the history. Can’t wait to read the book.
If I could leave a triple 000, I would. Brad is the rudess. If you going to talk this take it with another tour co, nor revelry through viator. Brad called sat evening less than 24 hrs before tour and while we were out to dinner. Brad Said guide missed his flight and to reschedule for Monday. I didn't think it would be a problem but when we got back we realized we were booked for another tour. I texted Brad, he kept texting me how I am making mistake canceling, yatta yatta, and how people are rude. I I was pleasure but said please issue refund. He think seems annoyed again not sure what his issue was but he was not happy we cancelled. Never received instructions for refund. I im message viator, still nothing , fast forward it thurday still no refund, I I gave a dissapointed reviews because they charged my charged my but gave no other info. I contacted my credit card co. And left a review on viator. He messaged me today about refund taking 3-5 days and cLling me names. Very unprofessional. I will a review everywhere alerting travelers to ga of his ignorant. If you msg me I will share his text to me with you. Please go with someone else. It showed up cancelled by him initially, and denied he cancelled tour. No confirmed rescheduled tour was ever recieved so then I concluded due to being inconvenience. This tour was $90.00
Trisha was wonderful! Knowledgeable and easy going for our group of women friends. We asked lots of questions, and Trisha was prepared! Loved it! Thanks Trishia!
No tour guide showed up. Didn’t do tour. Have been fighting to get money back! Scam. Don’t waste your money
Trisha did a great job telling us the facts and was knowledgeable about the history, the book and the movie. And she did a good job dealing with a not so great customer in the group. What was a bit of a let down was thinking we were going to bars with specialty cocktails.
The tour guide was soft spoken and was hard to hear at times. We didn’t think it was worth 70.00. I wouldn’t recommend this tour.
I really enjoyed it. The tour was very informative we allied around and saw the sites. The buildings are beautiful.
Trish was an amazing guide! My wife and I ended up being the only ones on our tour which gave a very personalized touch. Trish was very knowledgeable about the history of Midnight and with the history of other books and movies, as well as general history of Savannah. We had a blast!
After reading the book, it was nice to see the locations with a well established tour guide. Would recommend to anyone who has read the book or seen the movie.
Such a great time! Trisha was the guide and she was super knowledgeable and we all had such a great time!!! 5 star experience and will do it again
Brit was an excellent tour guide. She is very knowledgeable, courteous, and answers whatever questions you ask. Definitely worth a big $ tip. Wanted to give her a tip, but she left too quickly after tour was completed.
Britt was great!! Funny, full of facts, and informational. Highly recommend her and the tour. She gave us early info on Savannah as well as information in the history of the book and characters.
Our guide was wonderful. She made the experience come alive. Felt comfortable and safe walking the streets at midnight. Much more than we expected!!
Our guide MADE the tour! She was excellent in her knowledge, delivery, judgement, kindness, and sense of humor! We learned so much about Savannah in addition to the 'Midnight...' story. It was fun at the bars too! It was our favorite part of the visit (and we went to the Pink House, which came in second). Thanks!♡
The tour guide was very informative. She did not give her opinion, stated facts. A lot of walking!!!
Great tour - informative, funny, great pubs and drinks. Tour guide has lots of information. Beautiful night in savannah.
My friend and I booked the Savannah Midnight in the Garden Pub Crawl with Revelry Tours of Savannah for July 8th, 2023 and have NEVER, EVER, EVER felt so scammed. I can't even comment on the experience, as we did not even do the tour based on the conversation we had with our tour guide (but was charged for it). We arrived 15 minutes early as recommended and would not have known that was our tour/guide until a young lady (who was dressed in spandex shorts, shirt, tennis shoes . . . . and 4 months pregnant may I add) approached us asking if we were signed up for this tour. She stated we were the only two that signed up. If we had known we were the only two who signed up, we would have cancelled and signed up with another tour, with a group of people . . . It was very uncomfortable and didn't make sense to have a pregnant young lead us in a pub crawl. She immediately let us know that we were the only two on the tour and stated we could cancel if we chose . We both read the book, "Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil" (which was advertised in your tour, and why we chose it ) and thought about it, assuming we would get some history/attend the pubs in the book. I asked the tour guide to walk us through the tour. Her answer, "I take you to three pubs, the third one usually people have to go to the bathroom and are drunk by then, so I leave". There was no mention of any history, My statement to her was, "we can walk to pubs on our own and do not need anyone to walk us around and sit there". I also asked if this tour had coordinated with these 3 pubs we were visiting . . . "no I just take you there and hopefully on a weekend there is a seat available, if not we just wait". Seriously? We inquired about getting a refund and stood there for 15 minutes while she was texting (I assume it was her supervisor or someone with Revelry Tours) to say they would get back with us. So, they did, "thank you so much for coming on Midnight in the Garden Pub Crawl, hope that you had a great time" . . . . lol Giving Revelry Tours an opportunity to refund ($70) a tour we never went on, not to mention you ruined our evening . . . if not, I hope it's worth the $70 as I will copy and paste this email from Austin, New Orleans, Charleston, Savannah and Nashville . . . and make sure every effort is made so that no one else has to experience this.
Britt was a very informed guide and we learned do much about the city of Savannah. She made the tour fun and interesting.
Learning about historic events. We had a great guide and a nuce spring evening. Would recommend this tour.
DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! I tried to cancel our tour due to impending stormy weather (within the guidelines on my confirmation receipt). However, I was told they had changed the policy and would not honor my confirmation. NO REFUND!!! I was not notified that there had been a change in the policy from 24 to 48 hour notice so they should have honored the confirmation they sent me (IN WRITING!) I had already been charged (and already paid on credit card) over $200 for 5 people’s tickets and their handling fees. No way to get my money back when I was honoring exactly what they stated on my receipt and on their cancellation policy. Horrible horrible customer service!!!! Save your money and look elsewhere!!!!
Overall we really enjoyed the tour, our guide Britt was very knowledgeable and a great conversationalist. The bars she took us to were The Pink House, Pinkie’s, and a rooftop at a hotel. We lucked out with the weather too, a mild night in Savannah.
