We only had 1 day to see as much as possible and this was a great way to do. The staff was very friendly and very knowledgeable.

Easy to park. We had a knledgeabke tour guide. John, who made the tour interesting and fun. River boat tour was great as well. Good value and a great way to see Savannah.
Terrific city tour full of history. Great river boat ride as well. Beautiful riverfront. Would tour again.
Make sure to use a backpack for jacket, water, etc. The boat has great tasting food and drinks. Excellent experience.
Capt Phil was an excellent tour guide. Very knowledgeable, interesting & personable.
The guide was very knowledgeable and nice. It was difficult to understand all he was saying during the tour. Saw so many great sights and learned a lot.
Good experience - both guides were good. Zachius was very knowledgeable. Pickup at hotel was a nice touch and appreciated the free shuttle.
Make sure that you bring a light jacket or sweater if you're taking the river tour in the early spring or late fall. It can get chilly on the boat.
It is not 5 hours! So uncomfortable. I like Viator but this was not worth the money! Very disappointed. The lady who took us back afterwards was so rude!
Great tour! A wonderful way to spend the afternoon! John was a great tour guide. Very enjoyable day!
It was a lot of fun. Learned a lot. The driver was excellent.
Pick up was nice. Both tours had very interesting and informative guides. Would recommend to friends and family!!
Both tour guides were very informative. That would be Phil on the trolley tour and Richard on the river boat. Definitely recommended!
The 5 hour trip included a delay (long wait time) between land part and boat ride, so this was misleading. We also felt that the trolley (land) portion could have longer and a little more thorough. Our guide referred to Jones St. (Prettiest street), but we never saw it.
They were very accommodating. They picked us up near our inne and all of the drivers that we encountered were very knowledgeable. The added bonus was our ability to use the hop on hop off trolley feature for the entire next day after our tour.
Both tour guides were friendly and very informative. I would recommend you take water with you on the land tour, the water tour you were able to purchase drinks. Savannah is a beautiful city and wonderful people.
Wonderful hotel. New, clean, nice staff members, and a great complimentary breakfast. Also, convenient location just outside of Savannah.
The trolley guide was fantastic, very knowledgeable. The trolley windows were impossible to see out. It was a chilly day and the windows were closed and you could not see through the plexiglass. Very disappointed on that front. The river boat was great, guide was fun and informative.
Trolley tour was convenient and very informational. The shuttle service they offer for the day of and day after is alright, but we waited for our first shuttle for 40 minutes and we were at the Savannah visitor center. The wait shouldn’t have been that long. We used the shuttle 3 more times and found the wait to be 15 to 20 mins on average. The sea tour was absolutely not worth it. The boat offers little shade on the top deck, the windows on the 3rd level are so poorly maintained that at least half are hard to see out of, and we had the added bonus of them painting a section of the boat with oil based paint so we were sick from the smell of the paint by halfway through the trip. The view on the river is just meh. Save the time and money and skip the sea tour.
John our land tour guide was full of historical information and he was very personable. The riverboat was a beautiful ride with lots of historical information.
The trolley portion of the tour was fantastic. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and gave good insight on notable landmarks and historical facts. Following the trolley tour, we walked down to the river, did some shopping and had a light lunch with drinks. The riverboat portion of the tour was a bit underwhelming as it moved up the river, turned around, then down the river, turned around and went back to port within 90 min. The boat provided drinks and lite snacks. The captain provided some historical context and was funny. The paddlewheel of the boat did not function and there was a sour smell the entire time we were outside on decks 3 and 4. Overall it was an okay experience. Next time I'd rather book a dolphin tour instead.
Our guide for the land tour was a native of Savannah, whose family dates back several centuries. He was like a walking history book. A tremendous amount of knowledge and was able to point out lots of interesting facts. We found the riverboat portion rather unimpressive. The Savannah river is not particularly picture risk so it was primarily a tour of industrial sites, with a few exceptions sprinkled in. The narrator did a very good job, trying to provoke interest, but it was, overall, pretty benign. I would skip this part of the tour and concentrate on the land attractions.
There is a restroom at the visitor’s center, which closes at 4:30 PM. Buying this ticket gives you 48 hr. access to the trolley, which could be quite useful after the tour is over! The best part of the tour were the tour guides, by far. “Lieutenant Dan” knew so much about Savannah, and he knew just when to share it! He was fun, courteous, a good driver, and very friendly. But most of all he was full of knowledge that he was able to communicate clearly and kindly. Richard was our tour guide on the boat. He did a fantastic job also… Without his information, it would’ve just been a scenic trip up the river. But not only was it beautiful, it was an education!
It's done really well as it is a long tour...so be sure to bring water. Otherwise just sit back and enjoy the ride🤗
Experience was very nice. You got to hear some fun facts I’ve driven around Savannah, which is very nice. We had the open air fan and then we did the riverboat tour. Both of them were wonderful and you had a little bit of flexibility with your time for the riverboat we had either 1 PM or 3 PM. Both of them were fun. They didn’t feel rushed. I would definitely do it again even with kids. They also have pick up service and they were offering services to even take you back to your hotel or your bed-and-breakfast, which was very nice accommodation.
This is a great way to see and learn about Savannah! The Trolley Tour takes you through some of the must-see sights in historic Savannah while talking about their historical significance. Then it takes you to River Street where you can hang out on the riverfront and shop and drink for a bit before you get on the Riverboat portion of the tour. I also found out later that the riverboat we were on was used in the filming of Ozark, which was cool. I liked the idea of seeing Savannah from land and sea and now I can say I’ve been on a trolley and a riverboat! I think my favorite part was seeing the architecture and greenery in historic Savannah in the famous squares and learning about the city layout. It was a great way to open my trip to Savannah and I think everyone should do it!
Joyce was our trolley driver she was very knowledgeable and entertaining! We enjoyed the tour followed by the river cruise. The history narration was very good and we were impressed with his civil war knowledge. It was a great way to spend an afternoon in Savannah!
We had an absolutely amazing tour of historic Savannah. Our Tour Guide Captain Phil was very informative and had a wonderful sense of humor and an amazing wealth of knowledge about the area. He offered suggestions for places to try or visit and gave glowing recommendations of places to see and visit. I look forward to coming back and taking the tour again.
Great times in Savannah, all the locals we talked to were very friendly. All the tours were very informative.
Captain Phil was amazing! So much history tapped with humor and good wit. I would highly recommend
Viator always gets 5 stars! This was the best excursion for touring Savannah. We had a blast learning the history of the city, and the history of the river. The day was beautiful. Viator made sure that we understood all of the details, where to meet, and how to call for pick up, if needed. If you go on the trolley tour, I recommend you board as soon as you can to get your favorite seats, and to keep your group together. We were the last to board, and the 4 of us were split. Also, I wish I had my phone notes opened to Joe down places is like to return to. I didn't think of doing that until it was a little too late.
It is very informative and comfortable. The driver was personable and new the area The history of the city is very interesting
Great Guide. Great information ! Loved both portions of the land and sea tour. They made this tour so easy with hotel pick up.
The Land portion was on a trolley and we received a lot of information and tips about the Historical District of Savannah. The sea portion was on the Georgia Queen and fun and informative.
It was marvellous and our guide Joyce was a fountain of knowledge and so funny - a delight. She made it all come to life!
I’m so glad we did ‘land & sea’ - the package was well put together & coordinated & the price was also reasonable. We stayed in Hilton Head & did a one day trip to Savannah, so this being our first time in Savannah made the ‘land & sea’ experience absolutely perfect 👍🏼. Both hubby & I enjoyed all of it👍🏼😄
Lots of fun and quiet informative about Savannah. Would definitely recommend also taking the graveyard and gravestone tour.
The trolley tour was excellent. We got a good sense of the town and the history of the area. Our guide kept us entertained. There was no time in-between the trolley and boat so we thought we would eat while cruising on the river. Well, they were out of everything. So besides being a bit hungry, we had a nice time there too.
This trip provided us with a quick layout of the land. Our tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgeable. The boat ride was quick but very nice. Definitely worth the money.
The tour was great. Savannah was a beautiful and historical city. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and incorporated personal experiences in the tour. The arranged pick up did not go as planned. We were told to meet by the waving lady statue at a specific time and there were many tour buses and trolleys there. We were asking the drivers if they were with the land and sea tour and one driver stated he was. We got on that trolley and were enjoying that tour until I got a call from the booked tour company who said we were on the wrong trolley. Fortunately, one of that trolley’s stops was across the street from where our tour began and we were able to catch the correct trolley on time.
Capt Phil was awesome. We loved his stories, details and we learned so much about Savannah being there for the first time. Sea part of tour was good but the line to get in and dealing w the photographers and it was extremely hot out took away from that trip.
Very hot in Savannah that week! So grateful to be picked up at our hotel to join the City Sightseeing Trolley Tour. Most everyone on the tour was able to get a right hand seat by the open windows to enjoy and take pictures. Our guide was wonderful and offered lots of history, insights and experiences of Savannah life. The Riverboat cruise was average. My friends and I opted to stay inside due to the heat. Too bad we couldn't hear what the announcer was saying. Probably wouldn't do this again. Good on board was average.
Company was 30 minutes late picking us up from the hotel. They held the trolly but we were last on and my wife and I couldn't sit together. Trolly is a rough ride and doesn't stop. You can't see out so forget taking pictures. Cruise is nice...an hour on the river...well narrated.
If you are the last pick up of the day, be sure to watch your phone for texts in case of pick up changes. There is no one to call and they do not respond to texts.
Love the warm climate(we’re from Philadelphia). Love the architecture and the tour came alive with expressive narration!
We really enjoyed our land part of the tour can’t remember our guides name but he had a pony tail and was very knowledgeable, spoke clearly and loud enough for all to hear. I highly recommend taking the tour if it is your first time to Savannah’s historic area. The reason I am giving this a 4 star instead of 5 is because we booked the land and sea tour but couldn’t do the sea part because the power on the boat was not working. However we did get a full refund from Viatar for the sea part. The refund was also prompt on our credit card which to me means a lot especially as a third party booking agent.
The boat trip was just ok , thought we were going to see more. Loved the trolley ride around the squares. Beautiful homes
The historic land tour was well worth it. Could have been longer to spend more time at the squares and the park. Our guide had a lot of good historic information which made it very interesting. The boat cruise was just okay. Not much in terms of sightseeing but it was a pleasant ride. Could be avoided.
I was not informed there was a lovely meal being served on the second floor. I would have opted for that choice if I had known.
The pickup near our hotel was very convenient. The tour guides were very knowledgeable and thorough.
