Patrick was fun and entertaining. It was very personal, and je has a very good historical knowledge of Savannah.

Patrick was so awesome and engaging! We had a smaller group and it was perfect! We got to ask a bunch of questions and he was knowledgeable about anything and everything. We will definitely be back for another tour with the guy in the kilt.
My friend and I went on a girl's trip to Savannah and love all things spooky. We were looking for a ghost tour that would be more genuine and less theatrical and Patrick delivered! We ended up being the only two on the tour for a Sunday night and spent the evening hearing personal stories from Patrick, some history of Savannah, and sharing our own experiences. If you are looking for someone who is personable and passionate about what he does, this is a great tour for you. Stay spooky and authentic 👻
Patrick is very kind and if you are into the truly authentic and personal encounters of an individual and less about the classic stories of Savannah this would be your tour. As a group unfamiliar with the history of Savannah, this tour was just not what we were expecting. We were hoping for more of the local lore and legends in combination with details of Patrick’s own personal paranormal experiences. Patrick’s dedication to the truth perhaps made for a more authentic but less entertaining experience. If you have never been to Savannah and want to hear about the (maybe not so true) local legends this may not be for you. But if you are familiar with savannahs legends and want a more personal and accurate paranormal recounting, this would be the tour for you.
Patrick gave our group the best tour! You can tell how passionate he is, and he entertained all of our questions about Savannah and the supernatural. I highly recommend as the ghost tour to book because, as he’ll tell you himself, he values the truth over a good story!
Patrick is AMAZING! We loved our tour, it was supposed to be a 90 minute tour starting at 8 pm, but our group was very talkative and asked many questions, so our tour went until around 10:30! Patrick is able to match the tour to his group, and matches energy perfectly! The $30 ticket cost was WELL worth the stories we were told and the time Patrick spent with us. My husband and I do ghost tours in each city we visit, and this experience was our favorite to date! When we are back in savannah, we will definetly book with Patrick again!
Patrick was personable and accommodating. His love for his city and his work were evident. We enjoyed every minute of our tour!
We had a great time on our history tour! Patrick was very well versed in Savannah’s history and you can tell he truly loves getting to share it. We were on morning history tour and since we couldn’t make a ghost tour he added some great stories for us.
My husband and I had a great evening ghost touring with Patrick! I really appreciated that the tour went off despite the rain and the two of us being the only people who booked that evening. I have scheduled tours that have canceled for less, but Patrick assured us he still would have hosted the tour for one guest. If you are looking for a guide who will simply share Urban Legends of Savannah, this tour is not for you. If you are looking for firsthand stories from a paranormal researcher, then you will not be disappointed. Patrick is clearly passionate about sharing the history of Savannah, which I appreciated since we got both a historical and ghost tour. He was open and honest about his own paranormal encounters at some regular haunts, and some more unexpected locations as well. If you do book with The Guy in the Kilt come ready to ask questions and share your own terrifying tales. Patrick loves discussing the paranormal with his guests, and will theorize with you about anything and everything pertaining to it. It is important to note that there are Pub stops along the way, as well as bathrooms. My husband and I opted to not stop since I don’t drink, but just knowing there were opportunities to use the restroom put my mind at ease. For a different sort of ghost tour I highly recommend The Guy in the Kilt!
Great guide. Very informative and engaging. It was a ‘private’ tour because nobody else had booked that evening, but he said that he’ll go out even if it’s 1-2 or a full tour which is so great because some tours will cancel if there aren’t “enough” people
Had a wonderful night with Patrick. I would totally recommend him . He is a real history buff, knows a lot about the Savannah ghosts !!
It really sucks because we were excited for this tour. The reviews looked great I booked for my wife and myself and we waited at the correct meeting point for 20 minutes past the time we were supposed to meet in the winter cold. I messaged the guide twice and no one ever responded. I don’t know if somehow he never got the message that he had 2 clients who had just paid 70+ dollars waiting for him. The worst part is I really wanted to do this
Patrick makes a historical tour personal. We appreciated his unbiased perspective tonight and warm, genuine personality.
Try a different haunted tour If you want haunted history “legends” This guy likes to tell his own stories and his own experiences and that isnt what we were looking for… the bar stops were horrible.. the first bar was smelly and the second bar was way short staffed. The tour took 2 hours and we were bored by the end . My mom taught me that if you dont have anything nice to say… dont say anything at all. So I will leave it at that . All 7 of my girlfriends that went were not impressed either.
It was as if we were walking through Savannah with an old friend exchanging our own ghost stories. He was very personable and clearly loves what he does. Thank you, Patrick!
The tour guide was very good and knew the city really well and had a lot of fun. I would highly recommend it.
Just went on this tour last night. This was more than a ghost tour. It was an architecture, history as well as ghost tour. He explained so much about the beginnings of Savannah, why it is haunted, the deep desire to keep the beautiful old homes instead of tearing them down and building McMansions. A city has only one history — claim it. Patrick answered questions throughout the tour and adjusted the conversation based those questions. Loved hearing about his account of the ghosts of the Hamilton-Turner House from a former owner as well as guests of this now-bed and breakfast. Patrick is a great historian for the city.
I believe in good review karma so I’m giving this 5 stars but want to mention it’s pretty cheesy. I would have liked it better if the story telling didn’t feel contrived nor sound so rehearsed. Personally.
We were let down by this tour, especially for $39/per person. Idk if it was because it was just 3 of us in the tour group..or what, but I guess we were hoping for a little more. While the tour guide was very friendly, it just wasn't the most informative. The tour started with them bashing the other tour guides because they tell the "urban legends" of savannah...and then 80% of the tour was just his own "supernatural" experiences that have happened during his other tours and whatnot. If my friends and I weren't all socially awkward, we would have left early, but we wanted to be nice and finish.
Wasted bar stops to drink .guide drinking to much . Unorganized ,focus on guides history more than Savannah .Not at all what was advertised
Patrick gave a fun and informative tour highlighting area haunts, his own personal experiences, and adding questions to ponder. I’m glad found this tour!
I would highly recommend Patrick's tour if you want a true authentic and spine tingling ghost tour. he was professional, informative and Fun! the tour highlighted the most interesting areas of Savannah and the history. He brings in the true history of the town compared the fluff that other tour companies may tell you. He brings his history of the paranormal into the tour as well. I didn't want the tour to end, I bet he could go to more and talk more about the history of the city.
Great mix of personal stories and researched Savannah history. Also, if you go on Wednesday, it ends at a karaoke bar
The tour guide Patrick, The Guy IN The Kilt, is a hoot. As a paranormal investigator, he does extensive research on the different haunted buildings, he takes us to when talks about. He does mention how other tour companies make stories up or embellished stories just to sell tickets. He was very personable and knowledgeable. In head, many good stories that happened to him or past clients. He then interacted with people in our group who wanted to share their own experiences. I would recommend Patrick and this tour.
He seemed like a really nice guy. We would recommend less bad mouthing the other tours and explain more about the history of Savannah and why it is haunted. We walked by the cemetery and saw headstones, but not a lot of detailed stories of the residents. We walked by historical buildings and again, not a lot of stories about the history of the houses. Same with the church. By the time we got to the park, we were bored. It was a pretty big group, someone in the group was actually starting to heckle him. At that point, it was embarrassing and we strayed off and walked away. We had high hopes and were disappointed. I would rather have gone on a walk with one of the other guides and more of a scripted tour (which he brags that he doesn’t do). Nothing wrong with a scripted tour if the stories are interesting.
Patrick is very passionate about his tour. We really enjoyed his pleasant personality and knowledge. Missed the kilt tho. (lol)
Great tour! Patrick is passionate about his work, well prepared, and provides an entertaining and informative experience. Highly recommend.
We had a great time. Patrick brought authentic stories and we had fun experience. Patrick was a great speaker and made sure to sort through the fluff you may hear at other bookings.
2nd tour with Patrick, great as usual, very interesting and informative. Would highly recommend his tour
It was a very bland experience honestly. Showing us pictures on a phone and listening to recordings just wasn’t what we expected.
We had a great time on our tour with Patrick! You can tell he really enjoys what he does and makes a huge effort to provide information that is interesting and reliable. The pubs we stopped at were so cool and not anywhere I normally would have walked into. My husband and I had so much fun!
Patrick is awesome! We had our two teens with us and they really enjoy the spooky part of life. They truly enjoyed this tour! We loved the real experiences from Patrick’s life. It made it even scarier! Great tour a must do!
Excellent details! Very interesting and informative. I loved the information about the Mercer Williams house.
This was a fantastic tour. A lot of walking, but that’s part of the experience. You can tell Patrick loves what he does and it made for a great experience.
Patrick was accommodating and a great tour guide! He let us reschedule due to illness and took just the two of us on the tour. He also was kind and gentlemanly in having the late night tour end at our hotel so we two ladies didn’t have to walk back alone. He was funny, informative and just a nice guy in a kilt!
Great guy, fun tour- very historical as well as interesting paranormal information- drinks were available and the man wears a kilt
Patrick was informative, knowledgeable, and entertaining! By far the best tour we have taken in Savannah. Would highly recommend the Guy in the Kilt to anyone visiting Savannah for the first time or 100th time. He has definitely done his research on the history and haunts of Savannah and is highly credible He's the real deal for sure!
This is the pub tour you should go on! This was by far one of the best pub crawls we have been on out of the 6-7 that we have done over the years. What makes this one special is the fact that you are hearing about real stories that Patrick has experienced through his investigations. What you are NOT getting is the same old fictionalized stories that the other tour guides give you. My wife and I were very lucky as Patrick took extra time to share his experiences and experiences that he had learned with us while stopping at some great pubs. We really enjoyed this one!
We had a great evening tour with Patrick. My wife and I plus our two children learned so much about Savannah history and paranormal experiences. Look no further, this is the tour to book!
Patrick was a excellent host! We great a time hearing amazing stories about the paranormal in Savannah. Would definitely recommend the tour!
Patrick’s passion for ghost stories and the paranormal was certainly evident, and he enjoyed telling his stories. However, the title of the tour was Ghost Tour and Pub Crawl and there were no pub stops. We chose this tour because it was different than the others in that we would make some stops at some pubs to cool off and perhaps hear some different stories. When we realized during the tour there were no pubs we went back and checked the website and all of the confirmation emails. All said Ghost Tour and Pub Crawl. The information even said alcoholic beverages not included and must be 21 to drink. The title is clearly misleading. The only indication I could find was when I went back and tried to rebook and when choosing the time the 10:30 tour said 21 and older. Still, nothing said the 8 pm tour was not a pub crawl. On other tours we have participated in, if there were pub stops minors could attend and not be served. The title of this tour should be changed or the description edited to clearly state that the 8pm tour is not a pub crawl.
Not really a ghost tour, just a pub crawl that you have to buy your own beer. Not very informative about the ghost of savannah. Very disappointing for the price.
My boyfriend and I did this tour last night. Our tour guide, Patrick, was very entertaining and knowledgeable about Savannah! We ended up being the only 2 people on the tour, so we got a private tour and it was awesome!! The stories and sites were well worth it, and we did the pub crawl tour right afterwards with him as well. All in all, it was a fun night and a great way to start off our vacation! If we ever come back, I would do the tour again with Patrick!
Patrick was amazing! It was pouring and he provided us with umbrellas to keep the tour as planned. His own experiences as a paranormal investigator made this tour incredible. Several times I got chills just from the instances he recalled. He was really genuine in the stories he told and was not just making them!! I would recommend him to anyone interested in a ghost tour!
Very informative, personable, and knowledgeable about Savannah and the afterlife. This makes my second time I have taken his tour and have enjoyed it thoroughly. Don't waste your time or money with the other tours. Thank you, Patrick and good luck in the future!
My adult daughter and I went on the pub crawl ghost tour with Patrick. It was such an amazing experience . Patrick told us personal stories about his experiences and we had a few discussions about the paranormal, investigations, etc. it was so much more than we had anticipated. I would definitely recommend !!!
Patrick was enthusiastic and had interesting stories to tell. As a paranormal investigator he has several recordings of ghostly encounters-Arthur Smith’s antique shop and the Mercer Williams house were mind-blowing. I don’t know if it was the weight of history or Patrick’s storytelling that made me uneasy at Calhoun square, but there was something heavy in the air for me. My 25 yr old daughter and I really enjoyed spending time walking around historic beautiful historic Savannah with Patrick. Thank you!
Patrick has this experience down and has a fun way to present the information from one cool spot to the next. My girlfriend and I had a great time hanging out and taking in what Patrick had to share. The occasional pub stop was a great way to break things up and allowed us to get to know Patrick that much more. We recommend his tour for a number of reasons. Thank you Patrick!
Personal experiences of our guide and the paranormal. Beautiful city, houses, and squares. History discussed by guide was interesting
Patrick was entertaining and knowledgeable! Loved the history and the paranormal information! The smaller group size was perfect.
