Pretty detailed about interesting events that happened around savannah. This isn't a ghost tour persay. But our guild was super knowledgeable and it was a good walk.
Wasn’t what we were expecting as a ghost tour. Heard a lot about history of Savannah and some of the horrible situations that have occurred here but didn’t feel like the tour matched the description.
I don’t even know how to adequately express our experience with this tour. First, we arrived at the meeting location at exactly 8:00 p.m., only to discover that the tour had already left. We called and were told that we would not receive a refund. Fortunately, as we were leaving to head back home, we happened to find the tour group. From the moment we joined the group, we knew this was not going to be the experience we had expected. Our guide was dressed more like a camp counselor than a professional tour guide, and he spoke with such uncertainty that it was difficult to feel confident in the information he was providing. At each stop, the guide rambled on and repeatedly emphasized that what he was telling us was based on “folklore” and “hearsay.” Rather than creating a spooky or entertaining atmosphere, the tour was neither scary nor particularly engaging. At best, some of the information was mildly interesting. Ultimately, we left the tour early because we simply could not continue listening to the guide. We were extremely disappointed with the overall experience, especially considering the cost and the fact that we were told there would be no refund after missing the group initially. This was not at all the entertaining, frightening, or professionally presented experience we were expecting. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this tour based on our experience.
Very fun night. Our tour guide Stephen was very friendly and informative! We stayed entertained the whole time.
A fun and interesting tour. Our guide Austin was very knowledgable and entertaining. This was our first ghost tour, so we didn't know what to expect, but found it to be "spooky" enough as we heard the legends surrounding some of Savannah's history, yet not "hokey". Would recommend!
The tour guide was very knowledgeable and fun to listen to. She easily answered questions and was a pro. I’d recommend this tour for those who want some of the darker history of Savannah.
More of a historical tour of a few squares — which we had already done. Not scary. No entry to cemeteries. Just not what was expected. Not tour guide’s fault.
This wasn't worth anything at all. The information was public knowledge, bland, and nothing was haunted. We paid 80$ to stand in the parks we've been walking our vacation in and looking at locked buildings with bland stories
It is a mix of history and hauntings. Savannah energy really changes at night. Guide was great! Would recommend this tour.
Once we got moving, and got away from the maneating bugs, the tour went pretty well. The group was a little big, but manageable. The sites and stories were pretty good. Being a big fan of visiting movie filming sites, I loved the Mercer-Williams house stop. One thing was, I do not know if the guide was new or what, but her storytelling was not fluid. So many "ums" and jumping back to mention something she forgot. Hopefully, with time, her storytelling will get a better flow. And while I am not faulting anyone here, there seems to be an oversaturation of ghost tour companies in Savannah. I think we crossed paths with, at least 3 or 4 other groups. With so many other tours going on at the time, it seemed like, based on when we got to a couple of the locations, we were left with a less-than-prime spot, because another tour was in the way.
It was good but thought it would include more of the city and history of the old buildings not just the homes
The tour guide was good, but the overall experience lacked detail and emotion. Would have been nice to be scared or to have some sounds/music to accompany the experience. Typically I am sensitive to the supernatural, but I didn't get that feeling.
Great experience with a great tour guide
Awesome tour, our guide was very knowledgeable and kept us informed. I would recommend this tour to anyone.
She was very good and professional. She made sure everyone was engaged. This was not ghostly or scary at all.
It was ok. I felt some of the information was a bit more personal to the person giving the tour (the Button Gwinnett story, the ghost of Button made her sick?). I also felt like the information regarding the Mercer house was not factually correct and was based on the movie, which had some inconsistencies. Spent like 10 minutes on Clary's Cafe, it was an advertisement, no ghost story, even one of the people on the tour asked at the end of that part, so is it haunted? She was like no. Just that they have an excellent breakfast and it's a not to miss place to eat? I don't know, I wouldn't do it again.
Great host! Well organized with clear instruction. They took us to about 5 different spots in downtown Savannah. The group was bigger than expected, like 20 people.
It was okay. Later learned at the “Original Dark Tour” that some information was not factual. Guide was lovely, quite charming.
Our family of 3 joined about a dozen others for a leisurely walk through several squares and past many historic buildings. Daniel, our guide, was attentive, letting us know about restroom breaks in advance and warning of us heaved sidewalks and the spirits we might meet along the way. He was a good storyteller and we all had a good time!
Very interesting facts & Savannah history! Nikki was very knowledgeable & kept us all engaged. Highly recommend.
Great tour guide! Very thorough and informative! Would definitely recommend this tour to anyone.
If you go after dark you can’t go in the cemetery and it doesn’t take you into any houses or anything but the stories and the information are worth it especially for the price! Our tour guide was really great and made it fun for the whole group! I would highly recommend this especially if you’ve never been to Savannah. It gave us ideas of what we want to see next time too.
I had heard that anyone with $85 and a license could offer a tour in Savannah, and this might be the case here. This was more of a history tour than a ghost tour, but unfortunately the tour provided tall tales (or AI hallucinations) rather than accurate history. Please fact check anything you hear on this tour (women could own property in Georgia in the 1890s and the Jim Williams trial did not implicate the double jeopardy clause of the Constitution). I would probably look into the other options before selecting this tour.
We booked this as part of tourpass and scheduled it on our final night. "Deanna from Savannah" was our guide. Very professional. We started at the cemetery, where she talked about its history and Button Gwinette. We also visited the cathedral for a photo op, as well as Hamilton-Turner and Espy Houses with full details. She closed at the Mercer Williams house as you'd expect but included lots of stuff I'd never heard, bc She's a local. She also took care to make sure everyone knew where they were to get back home safely. Most of the time,we were somewhere there were benches to sit. I'd definitely recommend this tour and take other tours from Deanna. Wear comfortable shoes. Watch your step. Enjoy the local tea. 👏👏👏
Historical tales on how the ghosts came to haunt. Stacey did a fantastic job explaining back stories.
Great tour with a lot of information. Diana was a fantastic guide. Being a native of Savannah, she was extremely knowledgeable and her connections to the history was amazing.
This was a great time! We’ve been listening to the audio book on our drive to Savannah so this was cool and definitely went beyond just the book! Great ghost stories. Be mindful you’re on your feet the whole time and brick and cobblestone are not friendly if you have any physical issues.
Wonderful tour with lots of interesting stories. Evie answered questions and and was considerate is all in our group.
The guide was friendly and humorous. She was very knowledgeable about Savannah. But the urban legend of the guy tying his daughter to a chair for 3 days and the daughters being killed is kinda hokey. Overall, we all thoroughly enjoyed the tour.
Evie was a blast on this tour! We have done several others but this time we learned more stories and details than we’ve heard in the past. Evie was funny and gave the group a couple of good laughs!
This tour was fun, the history seemed to line up and the tour guide seemed to be knowledgeable. We did see some things in our pictures that are questionable...
The tour was very interesting and the guide explained everthing well and with enthusiasm. I can absolutely recommend this tour.
Our guide was amazing. He had fabulous stories and was very funny. Great experience. Even in the rain, it was super
Daniel was very entertaining and knowledgeable! We learned a lot about Savannah’s history! Highly recommend
This was a fun and entertaining ghost tour! Our tour guide, Evie, knew what she was talking about and was genuine about the whole experience. Didn’t sound like she was reading from a script. It was fun to learn about what happened in the buildings we stopped at.
very good . The tour guide was very nice and kept it interesting. walking was not bad honestly !! would do again
If you want exciting look elsewhere. This was definitely more of an informative walk than what I was hoping for.. Not what I expected. I did learn a few things about Savannah .
We enjoyed this walking tour! Sarah did a good job telling stories and keeping the group engaged. Not to scary or creepy.
Last night we went on the tour with Austin. The meeting location was easy to find. Austin did an excellent job navigating us through each of the sites and sharing compelling stories about each of the locations we visited. We learned a lot about Savannah’s history over the last century.
It was fun, a little more walking than expected after a long day of previous touring but good experience.
Informative fun and absolutely worth it. Helps to navigate around the city and learn a tremendous amount about Savannah’s history and contributions to the building of our country. Keep up the good
Austin did a great job! He was knowledgeable, fun and energetic! It was a perfect night to learn about the history and ghostly stories!
This was the best walking ghost tour we’ve been on in Savannah. The info was great and our guide Austin kept everyone very engaged and entertained while making sure we learned a lot about Savannah’s haunted history. Highly recommend.
I’ve been wanting to do a ghost tour forever. What better city than Savannah? I choose the adults only tour for the true, creepy vibe. Our group met at a cemetery of course! We were able to explore before the tour began. We had some great people and got along really well. Now our guide, Nicki, she was awesome!!! We enjoyed the pace she kept, the way she told stories and her openness to share her experiences. We all were so intrigued. We went to several key spots. What history! There was a moment at one house where the street lights went out…then came back on. The next day, we visited some of the spots Nicki shared with us. Highly recommend!
This tour was ok, not our favorite on our trip, but we saw places that we went back to the next day so it was informative. Our guide was just ok and she seemed to put her own embellishment on the stories which in turn made them not believable or not possible (don't say they had a gun that wasn't even made at the time a murder took place and other little things like that) Other than those inaccuracies that we obviously saw thru, walking around the city at night in a group was great.
This is a great way to learn a lot about Savannah's history, both the good and the bad. Our guide was fascinating and knowledgeable.
Fun and informative. Any true crime/ghost tour is more fun and interesting if it's grounded in actual facts and history.
We had an amazing experience on the walking tour with Mickey! From the start, she made the evening fun, entertaining, and full of fascinating stories. Her knowledge of Savannah’s history and haunted past is incredible, and she shared it in such an engaging way that we were hooked the whole time. What really made this tour stand out was the walking aspect — instead of just riding by on a trolley or bus, we were able to get up close to the haunted locations and really feel the atmosphere of the city. It gave us a much more personal connection to the history and legends. We enjoyed every single minute and left with a deeper appreciation of Savannah. When we return, this tour will definitely be on our list again!
Amazing tour! As a local i booked this for my out of town friends and was worried it would be too cheesy but it was very nice and k even learned some new things. I extremely knowledgeable tour guide Nikki, spooky and historical but not too scary!
