This was a fantastic tour with an amazing guide. Zoe was full of knowledge. She was very accommodating when we mistook the start time for 30 minutes later than was posted. She was friendly, professional, and enthusiastic. We learned so much on this tour. My 80-year-old mother and I had a wonderful walk today with Kristin. We learned so much about Sweet Auburn and those that influenced young MLK, Jr. It's a pleasant walk and a nice break comes midway with cold water and air-conditioning. We didn’t have enough time this trip to do the tour of his childhood Home, but will come back and will definitely do the tour again and recommend it to Family family and friends as well.

In town for the weekend for the MACC One Love Century Anniversary. Decided to get off the bike for a day to do a history tour. Best decision. Our tour guide was ZOE. She educated us and kept us entertained. I plan to return with our twins. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Thanks ZOE.

Our terrific guides Zoe and Jay introduced us to an Atlanta that few know. We learned about the wealth and history of Auburn Ave. We heard about the family history of Dr. King, and personal anecdotes about the mischievous little boy who became a great leader. We stopped at the Madame C. J. Walker museum, Freedom Park, Daddy King’s church, Ebenezer Baptist Church and the King Center. Thank you for a memorable civil rights tour! And a history lesson not found in textbooks. PS: I can’t wait to return to Atlanta, and take Zoe’s food tour and learn how to make delectable, buttery Southern biscuits!

Zoe and Jay from Unexpected Tours led a fantastic tour of the historic areas including the birthplace of Dr. King Jr, the offices of SCLC, a salon once owned by Madam C.J. Walker and more. Our tour wrapped up with lunch at Mary Mac's restaurant. The tour was informative and inspiring. Jay's infectious energy was matched by Zoe's warmth and patience. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested is getting a glimpse of the vast, rich and deep history of the area. Unexpected Tours is great.
It was an amazing experience! The guides were knowledgeable and accommodating. Seeing key landmarks like the Madame CJ Walker Museum and the King Center made it a memorable experience. The final stop for lunch at Atlantas's oldest Black-woman-owned restaurant was truly a treat. My suggestion is to spend more time at the King Center and add a visit inside Ebenezer Church. It was well-paced. The setting was lively and fun. The energy of the group made things fun.
Best tour ever with the best guides Jay and Zoey. Most profound, inspirational and emotional experience. Tour takes you back in time with all the greats — MLK, John Lewis and Madame CJ Walker.I’ve been on many tours around the country; this one was the best followed by a five-star all-you-can- eat scrumptious soul food meal!
