Late Night Spooky Savannah Haunted Bar Crawl

We had a great time. Spooky stories with pub visits sprinkled in between. Our tour guide was fun and very knowledgeable.

Throughout the two hour tour, we only visited one bar. Our tour guide could not answer any questions we asked about history or buildings. He was focused on sticking to the “script” of the tour. My friends and I have done other pub crawls and this was BY FAR the worst one. I’d never recommend this tour to someone.

Guide was really nice. Stories & history were good. Pub crawl was not. Only went to one Irish pub for 10 minutes. Absolutely no other pub stops. Was told at the very end that we could go into 2 bars for discounted drinks. They were nightclubs, not pubs. This is definitely not a "late night Savannah haunted pub crawl". It's just a walking history tour at night.

Penny Dreadful is an absolute gem!! We loved her! She is what a tour guide should be, full of knowledge, history, and whimsy- not to mention just a really cool person. The best of this city lies in its unique people, and we are happy to have met her. The experience was so fun, especially if you love history and getting those extra bits of back story that truly help you understand what life in Savannah was like at its beginning. The pubs/ bars we went to were really fun with great drinks as well. The city is so beautiful and a little spooky at night, so that makes your walk around the streets of Savannah even more lovely. My husband and I will definitely be touring with them again the next time we are in Savannah and of course asking for Penny to be our guide!

I booked this tour for my sisters bachelorette party with a group of 10 girls, it was SO much fun! We walked through Savannah and saw some SPOOKY stuff! Our guide, Madame Red Rum, was amazing and had so much character and knowledge of Savannah. I would recommend that anyone books this as a fun activity!

Let me start with our guide Raven, she was phenomenal!! She made sure the group was always together, that no one was left behind, and spoke loud enough that our large group could here her. She was full of knowledge and was a great story teller. We were never bored. We didn't drink at all the bars we stopped at, but they offer a drink special for the group that you can take with you on the tour in a plastic cup.

I was disappointed in this experience. The bars that we were taken to, were so packed, you could hardly get in, and when you did get up to the bar, it was hard to get waited on. The worst part of the night was that it felt unsafe late at night and with intoxicated people all around the bars. There were cops lined up on every street and a command center. It felt like something was going to happen or something has happened in the past and they were prepared to handle it. Just an uneasy feeling.

For a haunted “pub crawl” the first pub we stopped at we were told we’d have 5-10 minutes. It was very crowded and a few minutes later when had JUST been able to place my order the tour guide came up and said they were leaving. Maybe 2 minutes later I received my drink and paid and even though I was at the very front of this packed bar the tour had already left. They didn’t mention where the next stop would be either so we missed the rest of the tour. Also worth noting that the confirmation we got told us to look out for a tour guide by a different name and appearance so if you do book-make sure you find the right group. There were several tours meeting up at the same point.

The best pub crawl in Savannah! We chose this one because it won Best Pub Crawl in Savannah last year, and our guide informed us that they'd just one a second time! I can see why...this is one of the best tours I've ever been on and it was all about the guide!

Was recommended this ghost tour by a friend who came to Savannah in June! Madame Red was amazing and was so friendly throughout the tour, as well interactive! Loved learning more history about Savannah! She was very knowledgeable!

Raven was absolutely amazing with this ghost tour. She is very knowledgeable of the history and gives you a different perspective about the paranormal activity within Savannah. Each bar stop she gave excellent drink recommendations along with the history and famous hauntings within each location. Highly recommend for a fun, unique experience while visiting Savannah. I would rate this Haunted Pub Crawl higher if I could. My wife and I joined the tour which was led by Raven. She immediately caught our attention and having read the description of the tour before I bought tickets, I knew exactly where to meet and what to expect. The tour began with a delicious cocktail from 1790 Inn and we were quickly wrapped up in Raven's tales of spirits from the past. We walked the dark streets on this lovely Savannah evening and there was a little something extra in the air that night, being as it was the first of October and we were approaching Halloween season. Throughout the tour the small groups and couples all be acquainted and began friendly conversations. We stopped off at a few more pubs as well as a few more spooky spots and we learned a great deal of information about the haunted history of the downtown area. Raven was such a great host and having Spooky Steve join us was an added bonus! My wife and I could not stop talking about how much fun we had on this Haunted Pub Crawl. I will definitely be back to visit Savannah and I will 100% join this tour again!!

We did this tour on a Friday night - and met the host for the tour. It was a small group tour (there were just 4 of us on the tour). This is a pub crawl but it was supposed to be spooky and we just assumed geared toward haunted places. The stories outside the like 4 places we stopped to talk through (besides pubs) were generic, with very minimal details. The host was literally reading next stop notes on her phone in between stops. Also, the host, while presenting herself as an expert, practicing Witch who had done divinations at some of the locations, spent more of the tour talking about some random house she is building in Tennessee. It was more of a walk between pubs while she vaped, drank a white claw, and occasionally stopped outside a house she clearly didn’t know the details of. We did stop outside a graveyard where she mentioned someone sacrificed a chicken two years ago - but that she wasn’t there. Like, wow - 2 years ago, unwitnessed - lobbed over the fence. Exciting. The pub stops were fine but even 4 drinks didn’t make this tour tolerable. I’d hard pass on this and look for one that is centered on the spooky and the ghost aspects of Savannah.

The tour was a fun way to explore the city at night, check out some bars and learn about the history. Raven was great. My main complaint and reason for the poor review is that the itinerary mentioned on this booking is not accurate. I mainly booked this tour bc of the reference to moon river brewing and access to the 2nd floor and/or basement and we did NOT go there. That should have been communicated so other plans could be made. If someone can please reach out to me I’d like appreciate that.

Fantastic, RAVEN is the best tour guide ever! A few drinks, some cool spots with weird history, dark history overall walking distance may be 1 mile - 1.5 miles with intermittent stops. Not alot of cover so if its raining bring an umbrella. But 10/10 would go and take a tour with raven again!!!

Raven is absolutely incredible! She answered every question we had about the tour and curated a fabulous itinerary! She knows a lot of the pub owners, so they cater to your every need! She also provided recommendations for after the tour! She was highly recommended to us and went above and beyond to provide an unforgettable experience! Must do in Savannah!!

What a great and fun experience with Raven! She told some great stories of happenings and also recommended some awesome drinks at each of our stops. We also had a mess up on the date (I booked the wrong week 😂). They were so accommodating to fix it. Will definitely book again next time we are in Savannah!

We got lucky and practically had a personal tour with Raven and one other couple. We were all more interested in the history of the city, which Raven did not disappoint on, along with some extra paranormal insights. We also got to see a few of the bars off the main path that we will definitely visit again the next time we are in Savannah. Raven was quick to recommend some good drinks and shots. We did not get to see any ghosts, but had a great time nonetheless!

We will never miss Spooky Steve’s tour when we are in town! He’s our favorite pub crawl host. So knowledgeable and HILARIOUS.

When I tell you all this man is AMAZING you best believe me! I have been on his tour 3 times within 2 years. 8-20 will be my 4th time! The memories made will be the best ones ever! His spine chilling stories about with personal encounters, and nice cold drinks are what will make your weekend in Savannah!

Spooky Steve is THE BEST!!! I have never laughed so hard in my life. Spooky Steve brings the spooky, plus non-stop hilarity. We did the haunted pub crawl a second time in the same weekend because we had such a blast. Do not miss this!!

Steve is an killer entertainer! I’ve been on other ghost tours lead by really boring people and Steve is the exact opposite. He also knew a lot about Savannah and tolerated a bunch of loud drunk people. Everyone left happy. :)

Spooky Steve was funny and had interesting stories to share. We visited 3 bars and a cemetery. The first bar was great. Not sure what historical value the other two added. Not spooky. If you are really interested in a paranormal experience pick a different tour. If you want to hang out late and have a few drinks while walking Savannah... this may be the tour for you.

Must See in Savannah! Spooky Steve is not a regular, franchise tour guide. He IS the experience! The haunted pub crawl was such a unique way to tour the city and learn a ton of spooky history. My wife likes ghost stories. I like history. We both enjoy laughing. Master storyteller, historian, comedian, paranormal expert tonight we both had the pleasure of a guided tour of historic downtown Savannah with Spooky Steve. Steve went out of his way to make sure everyone in our group received what they were therefore whether it was chills from a spooky story, knowledge of Savannah's rich history, or in an enjoyable evening. Take one of his tours if you're interested in any of these. Thanks Steve!

We booked this tour based on all the previous good reviews and were so glad we did. Spooky Steve did such a great job mixing entertainment with information. The bars we stopped at were filled with spooky history. Steve threw his own personality into the tour which made it so much better than a walking narrative. There were cheesy jokes, good-natured innuendos, and his signature spooky voice. Although, based on some other reviews, some people saw those as a negative, it was those bits that made the whole tour so fun for us. We think I captured a photo of the Lady in White at Moon River. I couldn’t add the pic with the circle showing where to look, but zoom in really close between the slats of the railing! 10/10 would go again and highly recommend!

I highly recommend Spooky Steve for all spooky needs! This man is legitimate! My husband and I went on the pub crawl. All of the stops along the way and the stories about them were so interesting. Spooky Steve was entertaining, very informative, and amazing overall!!! Lots of history and sights, as well as stops at historically haunted bars! My family and I live in Wisconsin and visit Tybee Island often... I dont think I could ever have a trip without Spooky Steve's late night tour again. I wish I could talk to this guy for hours!!! I have been on plenty of ghost tours both in Savannah and across the United States. This is by far the best one with the best host. Spooky Steve is an amazing guide and one that I would go back to over and over again. Yeeeesssss it’s true!

Spooky Steve was great and entertaining for the entire 3 hours of our late night tour. It was informative, scary, interesting and interactive. The review below stating there is not enough ghost story telling and too much time spent waiting at pubs is very inaccurate unless she meant to review a different tour. We screamed, we laughed, we drank and we have a ton of eerie pictures to take home with us and look back on forever. Thanks Steve!

This was a fun tour. The guide was very funny and am excellent story teller. I recommend him over other tours I've taken.
