From one professional storyteller to another, I cannot rave enough about Juliana and the incredible experience I had on Genteel & Bard's Savannah Dark History & Ghost Encounter Tour! Juliana is a truly captivating storyteller—warm, engaging, funny, incredibly knowledgeable, and an absolute delight to spend two hours with. She effortlessly wove together fascinating Savannah history, chilling ghost stories, and personal anecdotes, bringing the city's rich (and spooky!) past to life. As a first-time visitor to Savannah, I was completely captivated from beginning to end. The amount of history, local insight, and intriguing stories she packed into just two hours was remarkable, and her passion for the city was infectious. It certainly didn't hurt that we had a full moon overhead, making the evening feel even more magical! What impressed me most was that even after the tour ended, Juliana generously stayed to answer additional questions from our group, sharing even more of her seemingly endless knowledge of Savannah and its haunted history. As someone who tells stories professionally, I have a tremendous appreciation for people who can truly command an audience, and Juliana is the real deal. She doesn't simply recite history—she brings it to life. If you're visiting Savannah, do yourself a favor and book this tour. And if you're lucky enough to get Juliana as your guide, you're in for an absolute treat! 10/10 experience. Juliana is a STAR!

We've been to Savannah a few times but never did a walking tour. Our guide, Ray, did a great job. We all had head sets so everyone in the group of about 15 could hear. He was informative, well prepared and interesting. Great value for the money and we'd do it again since there was so much info about the history of the city, dark and otherwise, that we may not have absorbed it all.

THE BEST TOUR IN SAVANNAH! I've had tours before, but this one was so much better. We had Ray as a guide and would have followed him all night listening to history.

This was the best tour we did in Savannah, mostly due to our tour guide Jovey. Loved the stories and legends he shared as he combined them with current stories that have recently happened on some of his tours. Beautiful night.

So much fun. I love these “ghost” tours. Our guide was wonderful and very knowledgeable, and had a passion for dark side of things. Also got a history lesson as well. So a nice mix of history along with stories of historical death and murder.

I think the tour itself is more of educational part of the history and the ghost sightings in the area. What the 3 of us didnt like was our particular tour guide. First of all the 75-90 tour lasted 140 minutes, wasnt anticipated or desired! The tour ends at a cemetary, not where you begin your tour. She simply left visitors at 10 pm, to “figure it out”. She talked way too much about herself from the beginning throughout the walk. Also the delivery of information was super annoying to many in the entire group due to her annoying voice inflection. The non stop spooky sounds, evil laughing and growling, werent “scary” just annoying! As we walked by could hear other tour guides, and thier normal delivery. All in all informative, learned things I didnt know, I just wish we had a different guide for the experience.

Night tour was good! Have a few drinks first! no ghost sightings but cool to learn the history. Kept my attention.

Our tour guide and owner of the tour company TC was great! An excellent historian of Savannah and very entertaining. Loved the headsets they give you too, we didn’t have to struggle to hear in our fairly large group. Tour was about 2 hours which is great. Our experience was awesome.

This was a fantastic walking tour- it was a great mix of spooky, supernatural, and historical. Our guide, Julianna, was engaging, knowledgeable, and very friendly. She was a great storyteller- she managed to make you feel like you were on a nighttime walk with friends and that she was letting you in on the gossip. The headphones were also a nice touch- I never had to miss something if I got trapped at the back of the group or if a car drove by. I wish that I had found this tour company earlier in my stay- if it wasn’t my last night in Savannah, I would absolutely book another one of their tours. I also love that they are a small business and not owned by a corporation.

This ghost walking tour was one of the highlights of our trip to Savannah! Walking through the city while hearing its stories made the history and atmosphere come alive in a way that a traditional tour simply couldn’t. TC was incredibly entertaining, passionate, and knowledgeable, and he held our attention the entire time. My daughter and I absolutely loved it and would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Savannah!

Ray was the best tour guide, story teller, and helper to the wheelchair user in our group! We all were very engaged in his quality stories of each stop on the agenda! Ray was a great tour guide. He was freindly and engaging, but no over the top performative and cheesy. 2 hours time, but not all that much walking. Every stop had a place you could sit (if needed) while listening to the story regarding that stop on the walk. Lots of interesting Savannah historical fun facts mixed in with several real-life horror/ghost stories; a perfect balance in my opinion.
