There are some interesting artifacts in this museum, but the vast majority of the experience relies on inserting you into photos and videos that are AI generated. Upon admission they ask you to fill out a survey where they ask way too many personal questions and take your photo. I’m not sure this isn’t just a data mining compound masquerading as a museum. The entry fee is also astronomically high for what you get— it’s a very poor value in my opinion.

Founded in 1951 by the National Football Foundation, the College Football Hall of Fame immortalizes the greatest of the amateur gridiron. 5.1 million people have coached or played the game and less than 1,300 are inductees in the Hall. This makes the College Football Hall of Fame an extremely selective group of individuals. In 2014, the College Football Hall of Fame opened in Atlanta, a major hub of college football activity, a convention and tourist destination, and home of one of the nation’s busiest airports. It’s a $68.5 million, 95,000 square foot, state-of-the-art tribute to 977 players, 211 coaches, and countless fans. Three floors, five themed galleries and over 50 interactive exhibits, including a 47-yard football field and a three-story wall of over 750 college football helmets, awaits visitors.

This place is designed for 12 year old boys who long to play QB for their favorite college football team. There are a ton of interactive exhibits. I really enjoyed the video associated with College Game Day. There are exhibits spotlighting every aspect of college football. Stat nerds will love all of the obscure facts highlighted and nearly-forgotten games and players. There is a lot to see and do here. It's also easy to get overloaded. At the end is an indoor practice facility where kids can pass and kick the ball. Keep alert when you step onto the field, because your picture appears on the big screen in the stadium like you're a player entering the game. This will give even an old ball player a thrill. The one gripe I had was the store-- only the top programs are represented, and it's mostly SEC teams. If you're a fan of one of these school, you'll find something you like. If you root for a more obscure school, you'll be disappointed.
Despite the crazy traffic, it was on the same day as the college football game, the experience was absolutely spectacular. The history of it all and seeing the athletes and coaches who worked to get there is amazing, it’s an absolute joy to go there.
3 floors to explore . I preferred the second floor. The place was nice . I would think they could obtain more memorabilia, but schools probably want to keep it for themselves.
Been to all the major 4 sports h.o.f's and this one is right up there. All the helmets when u walk in gives a feeling of belonging once you find your team (Wyoming). Went upstairs and did find Ryan Yarbourgh's inductees locker for class of 25 with Wyoming Cowboys, (WELL DONE!!!) Loved the tailgate exhibit and just the place overall!! Even though N.I.L and transfer portal has ruined CFB for us smaller schools I still felt like I/we belonged, even in SEC country!!!
We drove three hours to tour Mercedes Benz and go to the Hall of Fame with our son as an end of summer treat. You start on the third floor and work your way down to the first floor where the field is. He asked us the entire time we were there when he could go downstairs. Well we finally get downstairs and the lady running the kick and throw says one turn each and no more even though there was literally no one else waiting in line. This lady needs to be moved to another station where they won’t have her actually work.
This is a fun, interactive museum even if you are not a college football fan. The system places you visually and information wise.
My family and I visited on June 27, 2026. The world cup travelers were out and about and there was an awesome view from inside the College hall of fame museum. There were quite a few interactive things to do that kept my tweens and teen occupied as well as us adults.
One of the best and most loved part of vacation and was more than anticipated!! Educational, fun, videos and completely interactive!! Money well spent and have recommended !!
Great time! Was enjoyed by all who went.
Brought my hubby here for his 44th birthday. He’s a huge Bama fan and loves college football in general. He loved it! We both had so much fun! It was way better than I expected. The interactive exhibits throughout the museum were fun, entertaining and very creative! Fun for a date or for the whole family!
The College Football Hall of Fame is a great spot to visit in Atlanta especially if you have a sport fanatic in your life. Our family visited using the Atlanta City Pass (which I highly recommend if you are visiting more than one Atlanta attraction). Upon arrival, visitors receive a card and create a profile. This allows visitors to interact throughout the museum and take some crazy photos! If you are not a football fan, that is a super-fun feature everyone can enjoy. For football fans, there are films, photos, trophies, awards and more that show the history of college football. Another extremely cool feature is the ability to eat on the "field" at the College Football Hall of Fame's own Chick-Fil-A. The menu is standard, but it is a pretty neat experience!
College football HOF. This was a blast and so entertaining. Getting to play unlimited games of College 26 on the Xboxes as my Ohio State Buckeyes was so much fun and whilst I didn't throw a pass or kick a field goal on the artificial grass I did put a couple of drop punts through the big sticks AFL style (me being an Australian who played Australian Rules football and not rugby)
We weren’t sure what to expect and this exceeded all expectations. The museum was so interactive, even our 6 year old who isn’t interested in football said it was one of his favorite things we’ve done. Highly recommend!
Just be ready to get involved with all the activities that they offer. and enjoy yourself throughout the visit.
We had a conference and it was a great space. I felt the energy even with it being the weekend. Highly recommend.
Three-story buiilding with a lot of exhibits and interesting college football info about players and the history of the game. After you check in at the ticket booth to redeem your voucher, you visit a kiosk to take a picture and answer a few fun Qs about yourself. The responses to these Qs are used throughout the venue to create very fun and interactive AI experiences. Not sure we would recommend for young kids, but a unique and educational place for adults, teens, and football lovers to spend a few hours.
The interactive exhibits makes this a fun and unique experience. Lots of football memorabilia, but a true fan experience as you walk through the different exhibits. If you love football, you should definitely make this a spot you check out.
The college football Hall of Fame was far greater than any expectation I had. It was really made so impactful with our tour guide Luke. Absolutely a great afternoon.
Tons of interactive content. You can record yourself call a legendary play. I did the iron bowl field return for Auburn. You also can pretend to be on college game day. They have Xbox’s where you can play the latest NCAA game. At the end you can throw a pass and kick an extra point. My pass was dreadful but made the extra point. Definitely fun for kids and adults.
Wow! Super fun, even alone. Pleasantly surprised at the fun in the interative card. You create a profile, scan the card, and several back stories and large photos come up that are hilarious! Alseo, much fun acting as sports castor reading scripted monitor and watching recording . Im 70 and Had a blast! Was wishing my 16 yr old grandson who plays football was there too. But, Instead I blew up his phone with photos and texted him throughout lol It was educational to one that likes football but not familiar with college ball. Learned alot and Loved it! Recommended!!
This far exceeded my expectations. When you check in, you fill out a profile. It is embedded in a card. Tapping the card at various exhibits puts you into the museum. Maybe the only disappointing part was the actual Hall. It was nothing like Canton.
Amazing facility. Outstanding content. Well worth the admission fee. So good we visited twice. Mind-blowing interactive content
It was much better than I expected. The wall of helmets is amazing and the exhibits are great to explore. It’s very interesting to learn about the history of the game.
Really well put together museum with a lot of interactive elements. Did a great job being entertaining and giving you a lot of cool information about college football.
A wonderful blend of history with fun activities that brings YOU into the football experience. Fun for all ages.
We visited the College Football Hall of Fame in the afternoon. It was not particularly crowded, but is expensive (more than $100 for 3 adults with no discounts). The space is beautiful, but the overall presentation isn’t focused enough on history for my preferences. Even with that, we had a good time in the 90ish minutes it took us to go through the exhibits.
As a family who knows very little about American football, this museum was great. It’s informative, interactive, and entertaining. Would definitely recommend a trip here.
We had a great time! If you love football I highly recommend this museum. Take time to do the photo shop, we had many laughs. The displays were amazing.
Fun experience. They had a football throw and kick. Lots of football history for a true fan. Heisman trophy was displayed.
Almost as much fun as going to a game! Loved the interactive activities. I was especially interested in the history of the technology that helps to keep the players safe!
Highly Impressed. Enough to make it fun for little kids so the parents can have a good time. And it coincides with your favorite school.
fun experience. If you are a college football fan, this is the place for you. Alot of memorabilia and interactive activities. Very impressed with the AI experience.
If you are a fan of College Football, this is a must. It takes a couple of hours to do everything. Make sure you leave time for the indoor passing, kicking, etc.
Visited on vacation from the UK. Brilliant visit to this museum. Lots of things to do and see. I don’t know much about college football but my husband did and he thoroughly enjoyed it. We easily spent a couple of hours inside. We even got to throw a football at the end! Our only comment would be to have been told how to use the pass we were given at the beginning. We did not know we had to register on the kiosk as nobody was there when we walked in. Other than that we did not feel like we missed out and we still enjoyed our visit.
Fun activities, BUT downloads are slow in interactive things. Purchased pictures that did not arrive. Very disappointed.
We were really excited about visiting the College Football Hall of Fame being huge college football fans. There were some really cool interactive exhibits that my kids really enjoyed, but my husband and I felt like we were expecting more.
Great experience especially if your into College football they have a fun Combine like experience and staff are really friendly
I was a little apprehensive about visiting the Hall of Fame, having read some of the other reviews. I knew I would have two littles with me, that are more into princessess, than sports. However, I was quickly surprised to find that they really loved it. It was very interactive to keep their attention. From the time we registered at the football wall, until we tossed and kicked the football on the green, they were enterained. Of course, the husband being a huge college football fan enjoyed it. The one thing I guess I was expecting to see more of was uniforms, memorabilla, etc. With it being interactive, you kind of lost some of that nostaliga that most museums have with display cases of this kind of items. The kids liked that when you passed by the access ports, that it would show up their names. This kep them entertained, being able to feel like they were given individual treatment. They also enjoyed sing the fight song and recording a spot on college game day. LOL...this was pretty funny to see them trying to read the teleprompter. Overall the visit was a pretty good success. I would say to give yourself at least 2 to 3 hours to explore the levels and exhibits.
If you are into football and especially college football, this is a must-see attraction. It had lots of interactive exhibits, and it was great to see all colleges represented (HBCUs and Military). There is also a practice field with different activities to try which seemed really fun for the students who were in the area. Very nice gift shop as well.
A few cool things to see here but overall there wasn’t much to do. Three floors with limited displays. My kids 12 and 14 enjoyed the hall of helmets, and the play area the best.
High expectations were not met attending this location. I had expected it to be like the Pro Football Hall of Fame where you have uniforms etc. from the entire history of the game. Nothing like that here - yes, there were a few items but only a tiny sampling of what should have been. I guess if you want to do a game day promo that's great but it wasn't much either. At the end you get to try and throw a pass into a net and kick a field goal but that certainly did not make the price of admission worth while. The staff was excellent, friendly and helpful which pushed the rating to Average instead of Poor.
We had a great time at the CBHOF. Staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and eager to assist. The all access passes you get upon entry allowed the interactive exhibits to pull up your teams’ information which was super cool. The kids (ages 8 and 11) enjoyed most of it, but their favorite was definitely the kick, pass and wide receiver drills. There are interactive exhibits all throughout. We really enjoyed calling our own plays and listening to the recording!
The on the field experience and the tour was amazing and the different stories and kicking field goals and throwing the football
Personalized events in HOF relating to our fave teams. Historical background and timelines of other world events, in relation to College FB timelines.
It was a lot smaller than I expected but it was still fun. When you check in you get to choose your College School with your lanyard pass which was cool. And it made your College Helmet light up on the wall. They also had a ton of historic memorabilia which was awesome to see. Minus it costing an arm and leg to get in ($57 for 2 people) it was still fun. We spent about an hour there.
A great variety of schools and interesting history of college football. Really enjoyed learning about the start of college football and the evolution of the game over the years. Fun interactive experiences like kicking a field goal
Interactive displays are contained throughout the museum. Lots of reading that might bore younger children. Plan to spend 2 plus hours. A little expensive for the experience but well worth it if you are a diehard college football fan.
The huge wall of all the helmets was very cool! We have never been to the CFHOF before, so we were very impressed with everything!
A buddy and I visited on a weekend trip to Atlanta. The logistics of getting into the museum when they opened on a Sunday morning were a little tricky (they seemed disorganized). Once inside, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the displays were really well done. Some of the interactive features with our All-Access Passes didn't work, and many of the screens and interactions were not operating properly, either. Still, we enjoyed ourselves, and I'd go back again.
