Omar was spectacular. Very knowledgeable and entertaining. Super engaging and personable. The tour was a perfect way to get the lay of the land.
Excellent, the tour was very, very good. I had actually booked another tour but that one was cancelled. Omar was kind enough to call me the night before and suggested two tours available and he really pumped the Black History tour and I was so glad he did! Our tour guide Jeffry was fun, knowledgeable and very interactive with the tour guests. I enjoyed the video pictures with certain locations we went to which made the location come alive! Having grown up in the time of Civil Rights and so did my friend that traveled with me , we truly enjoyed the tour! We learned new things and was reminded of the past we lived. Very informative tour! As for the place we went to lunch it was a good choice but lots of choices inside the Warehouse and 30 mins is not enough time! But the lunch time not long enough and the tour ran a little over time are really my only minus' the rest of the tour was full of plus'!!! I suggest this tour above all of them! Excellent, excellent tour worth the money!! You will learn so much ...
Was great we had a lot of fun but way too much walking. We enjoyed the panels and it seemed like there were a lot more venders, we didn't get to see them all.
Excellent, knowledge filled experience! Appreciate you Omar!!!
If you’re on the fence, do it! Omar is fantastic. You will love his commentary and personality. Really great guy that puts his all into showing you around the city of Atlanta. Very knowledgeable. You’ll gain so much information you didn’t even realize you needed to know! Thank you, Omar! – Gia, Denys, Allie and Nancy (from Miami)
Our tour guide, Omar, was very knowledgeable about the history and areas of Atlanta. He drove to areas with great views of the city. I learned to see Atlanta in a different way. There was always a lot to look at.
I was disappointed in the tour guide for this tour. It was filled mostly with her opinions on things—what she did and did not like about Atlanta and even went into topics that a tour guide should leave well alone. She announced to our small group the two states she thought were the worst in the U.S. The group was solely from those two states. I was hoping to get more facts about the region but instead felt like she was giving us the gist of her thoughts on things. I was not impressed. The tour calls for a few stops. She was fifteen minutes late picking us up at the second stop. In addition, the tour was scheduled to leave at 10AM. We received a text the night before that it would now be leaving at 9:30. It wasn’t professional. I wouldn’t recommend this tour nor Shelly, the very-opinionated tour guide.
Omar you were great! Very much a people's person and know hi ATL! Great tour guide engaging free snacks interactive and a great ride and engaging ! Thanks shin Omar
Our driver and guide, Omar, was great. Very knowledgable about the area and was interactive with those of us on the bus. Wanted to engage us and make sure we were enjoying. Spent extra time making sure to get up all the planned stops and didn’t rush thru anything. Had an enjoyable experience and learned a lot.
This tour was relaxing and enjoyable. We got a chance to get out and walk around a few times. The van was very clean. Omar, our guide was personable and entertaining. And the lunch stop was full of delicious choices. I highly recommend this tour.
If you get Omar, you are in for a treat. He's personable and knowledgeable beyond belief. We have traveled all over the world and taken many a tour and Omar is by far the best tour guide we ever had. If you want to learn about Atlanta and see some great sites, book and ask for Omar today!
Fun tour with some good history weaved in! Nathan was kind and ensured the entire group was having a great time.
Omar was an amazing guide . This tour covers so much of Atlanta . It was fun , informative & there were so many special touches provided . This is a must do for anyone visiting Atlanta

Omar is a great guide Covered numerous places Took his time and was entertaining and informative!!!!
First time traveling to ATL/Georgia. Decided to sign up for this tour to learn more about the city without having to worry about getting lost. This tour was great and very informative. It checked off just about everything I wanted to see and some. Jeff was a great tour guide and provided so much information about the city that you just won’t find on Google. Great experience!
My husband and I were the only two people on the tour. It was a great way to get a feel for what the city is like. Highly recommend this for our tour.
Chef Diana was EXCELLENT she had absolute amazing energy and was very detailed throughout the tour she knew her Atlanta history and that made the tour fun The driver was awesome as well I definitely will do rhis tour again We had a amazing time
Guide was very nice and knowledgeable. Even though the city was very crowded because of the events going on, she took her time and finished the tour way after the 5 hours.
Jeff was a very entertaining host and driver who showed us all the highlights and graciously took photos of everyone at every stop for them. We loved learning about and seeing the city from a local point of view and are prepared to revisit some sights. Thanks, Jeff, for the great tour and restaurant list!
Five in our family on this tour, all adults. All of us enjoyed learning about and seeing the variety of what makes Atlanta Atlanta. Our guide, Omar, is very knowledgeable and engaging, and he was concerned for our comfort throughout the tour. Though it’s four hours long, we saw a lot while on the small, comfortable bus and stopped at some places where we disembarked to tour some sights. We all recommend this tour!
Round About Tours with Chef Diana 08-23-2025 The tour was awesome. Chef Diana was filled with real knowledge about the neighborhoods and historical events. As she spoke, I was doing the fact checking on my phone to see if the details matched. She was on it. We visited key places in the city from The King Family sights, Atlantic Station, up and coming neighborhoods, Inman Park, you name it, Chef Diana took us there. The added bonus was the food stop at the Krog Street area. There were a variety of food options for everyone (even Vegans). Of all the stops, my favorites were the King Center Memorial and the CabbageTown areas. Give Chef Diana a chance, you will not be disappointed.
It was a nice knowledgeable sightseeing tour. With rich history of Georgia’s major cities, culture and food.
Over all the experience was great! The tour guide was awesome! He made the tour feel more personal, like been with family
My recent trip to Atlanta was made truly memorable by the exceptional Black History and Civil Rights tour with Roundabout Atlanta. Our guide, Jeff, was the epitome of a knowledgeable, passionate, and engaging leader, transforming our tour into an unforgettable immersion into the city's rich historical narrative. From the moment we embarked on our journey, Jeff's infectious enthusiasm and local expertise set the tone for an exceptional experience. He expertly navigated us through Atlanta's iconic landmarks, weaving together captivating stories and historical insights that brought to life the city's pivotal role in the Civil Rights Movement. Jeff's ability to seamlessly blend historical facts with personal anecdotes and local perspectives made the tour truly immersive. He didn't just share information; he connected us with the emotions, struggles, and triumphs of those who fought for equality. Beyond the historical significance, Jeff's intimate knowledge of Atlanta's neighborhoods and cultural nuances provided invaluable insights that enriched our overall experience. He generously offered recommendations for local eateries, hidden gems, and must-visit attractions, ensuring we had a well-rounded taste of the city's vibrant spirit. As our tour concluded, I felt a profound appreciation for Atlanta's rich history and the ongoing fight for justice. Jeff's passion and expertise had not only enlightened us but also ignited a desire to further explore the city's diverse cultural tapestry. I wholeheartedly recommend Roundabout Atlanta's Black History and Civil Rights tour, particularly for those seeking an immersive and authentic experience of Atlanta's historical and cultural significance. With Jeff as your guide, you're in for an unforgettable journey that will leave a lasting impact.
Great tour - Omar is a wonderful tour guide. This was fun and informative - a great place to start for your visit to Atlanta.
I rarely do reviews, particularly negative ones, however was moved to do so in this case. This was honestly the worst tour we have ever had. First, we were changed the day before from a 4 hour tour to a 5 hour tour for an unknown reason. We could live with that, so accepted the change. The person who called made the adjustment and sent us an email with confirmation. However, the tour and guide were terrible. We spent the first half hour being shown pictures of things in the city from the guide's tattered book. We then proceeded on the tour. A few of the spots were good such as the Martin Luther King Jr. funeral church and historical park. After that, it went significantly downhill. Instead of going to places such as Centennial Park or the capitol, we were taken to an unopened food court and then a skateboard park. The tour was so bad that we actually left it and caught an Uber to do our own sightseeing. I would not recommend this tour.
This was one of the best tours I’ve experienced! Not only was it informative but it painted a full picture of the contributions Black Americans have made to the city of Atlanta. Our tour guide was incredibly knowledgeable, funny, and fostered a positive experience for all passengers. Highly recommend
Our tour guide, Jeff, was outstanding. Very friendly and knowledgeable about all-things-Atlanta. Thank you very much! —Steve and Kris from Milwaukee
Overall a great tour! Would recommend taking the tour at the beginning of your stay in ATL because it covers a number of places you will want to explore. Our host, Omar, was a wealth of information!
Our guide Omar was such a great guy! He was so familiar with the area and was extremely informative. He showed us such an amazing time and treated us so good. We loved the area and would definitely request him again and recommend him!! Thank
Omar was a great guide. Very knowledgeable about the area. Jeff's attitude was great, made us comfortable. The pair work well together. We had fun.
This tour was awesome! Our driver was EXCELLENT! He made us feel comfortable! Will book again soon. .
We had a fabulous time with our tour guide, Shelley. She was fantastic and the time she spent with us was amazing. She took us to the Martin Luther King memorial, and that was outstanding and then we went to Jimmy Carter’s library. It was unbelievable she took us all through Atlanta and explain the history and how exciting this city has become. We thoroughly enjoyed her. She took so much time with us and we just want her to know how much we appreciated Her thank you Shelley
wonderful experience, tour guide was very knowledgeable about his city. I learned something that I didn’t know. I truly enjoyed this tour.
Omar, our driver cumbersome guide was great fun. We really enjoyed the tour. What I liked was he didn't rush through things...was willing to go at our pace and was thoughtful about places we wanted to stop and take pictures. Thank you Omar!
I won't say "unfortunately, this tour was cancelled", as luck would have it, the substitute tour - Stone Mountain - was such a wonderful experience, enhanced by our very knowledgeable, and entertaining, tour guide - Omar Akinsika, who at the end of the tour had games with prizes! Stone Mountain is a must see, and taking the tour with Omar is a bonus! We all enjoyed our time.
Omar was an amazing tour guide, he was very informative, helpful and fun. If your going on a tour you won't regret taking roundabout Atlanta sightseeing city tour.
My 1st time in Atlanta & this city tour was so much fun! Getting to sit as a passenger & be driven around a city I knew nothing about was the best part. Omar was so informative & fun to ride with. He was very knowledgeable & detailed in the history of Atlanta. He made sure we were satisfied with our tour. He even provided us with drinks & chips which he didn't have to but we appreciate him for doing that. He was funny & made my family and I very comfortable in the hours we spent together. If you're looking to see the city this is the way to go!
The entire tour was memorable! Omar was fantastic! We enjoyed lots of laughs and he not only gave us the history of all of the sites but also weaved in some pop culture. We learned more about the city than we had expected. Excellent tour!
The most memorable part of this tour was the driver, Ms. Shelly! She's incredibly knowledgeable about all things Atlanta. I would definitely recommend this tour and her as the driver.
Varsity drive in was great. Enjoyed Omar. He has a lot of great stories. He has a lot of history under his belt.
As we only had one day in Atlanta, this was a great way to see the sights and learn about the culture of this large sprawling city. The tour was exactly as advertised - actually 30 minutes longer - and the tour company confirmed our booking and sent a reminder the day before. The meeting point was well described and easy to find among the downtown hotels and MARTA station nearby. Omar was a superb tour guide and ambassador, ensuring we knew all about his city and positioned the bus to take photos. He varied the itinerary according to traffic conditions and described the sights at length, always open to questions. He sought our agreement on the 3 stops - an unexpected short tour of the Governor's mansion, a brief lunch stop at the unique Varsity and finally at the Martin Luther King Jr Memorial Park. I fully recommend this tour if you want a great overview of Atlanta with limited time or want to decide which parts to revisit. You wont be disappointed.
Omar was friendly and courteous, and covered a lot of territory in such a large city. He hit the major sites. Would have liked a bit more "historical" info regarding Atlanta. I suspect he let's the tour roll with the interests and questions of the customers. Some things were closed on a Monday .. not his fault. All good stuff anyway.
Omar was very nice and competent but we should have picked a tour that focused more on historical landmarks and less of driving through the upscale mansions and shopping districts. We did enjoy the trip but wanted a bit more history. Our fault that we didn’t chose more carefully. Enjoyed the lunch stop at Krog market and Omar’s coach g on the great local fare to sample. We did get some history. Wished we had a half hour longer at Martin Luther King area and less mansions.
Omar was a fantastic guide and taught me a lot about the city. I loved the Martin Luther King memorial and trying fried green tomatoes for the first time. It was great to get an overview of the city in an interesting way.
Jeff is a fantastic ambassador for Atlanta! His great sense of humour, vast knowledge about the city and great driving skills made the tour fun and enjoyable in the very comfortable vehicle. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this tour for anyone wanting to learn more about Atlanta in a short span of time.
Omar was great. Highly recommend him. He was professional, friendly and very knowledgeable. Made us feel very welcome.
The guide was pleasant and engaging very knowledgeable but we were not able to get in cnn, museum and park just to take a few pics.
