I don’t want to leave a bad review but this tour was cancelled the morning of the tour due to me being the only booking. My issue is I was already near the starting point when I received the call and WhatsApp message. Whilst I appreciate the tour could not go ahead with just 1 person I feel I should have been advised the evening before so I could change that days plans. The man who messaged me was apologetic and did offer other days which I could not do. I did get a full refund quickly and I did go to Stone Mountain by myself which I feel was actually a better experience as I had more time to explore and hike.

Good excursion, amazing places to see , good history & tour guy was very informative, attentive & kind.
Stone mountain was amazing place to visit. Cab ride was only a short time so we were able to spend whole day here at a low fee. Tour was well worth it
It’s informative and entertaining. However the guide needs to provide better information and instruction on the walking/ hiking paths. We were unable to fully participate due to fear of getting lost. That part was disappointing.
Our guide was amazing and took very good care of us, that made such an impression. The detail of the history of Stone Mountain along with the various stops to see and explore made this trip so worthwhile. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who has never been here, to get a true understanding of why this is a historical monument and park. Our guide came on time and was so amazing with having refrements for us those details made such a difference. He even explained to us the different areas where filming had taken place and how he had been an extra on shows like Walking Dead Season Five!! Truly this is a great tour and company to trust.
Good experience and guide was a knowledge person We had a good view of Stone Mountain & could use the cable car also
Our Stone Mountain trip was a blast. Durf knows the area inside and out, and he made the ride to the park fun with local history and stories. He took us to several great spots and even packed snacks, which ended up being a huge help when I had a low blood sugar incident. He’s a fantastic host who genuinely looks out for his guests. Couldn’t recommend him more. The tour was a great mix of learning, exploring, and taking in the scenery. The stone carving was really cool to see, and the view from the top of the mountain was spectacular.
It was an awesome experience ! The tour guide Durf gave a wonderful explanation about the confederate history and the place. The place as such is very good for a long camping weekend. Day trips are okay. The tour did include everything it said. He gave us water fruits and chips to eat. More than that he made the tour interesting
We were pleasantly surprised with how much we enjoyed this tour! It gave us an experience in Atlanta that we knew nothing about beforehand. Jeff, our tour guide, was amazing! He was full of local knowledge and his past experiences made for great conversations. We would highly recommend this tour!
Considering what the destination, Stone Mountain, was intended to be, I appreciated the levity of our guide. He also gave the hard truth about what the stone was supposed to represent. And, he paid great respect to the triumph of Black Americans over obstacles the size of a mountain.
Great tour with a lot to see, experience, walk, and learn. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and made possible for everyone in the group to get the max experience in max comfort🙏 Thank you
Guide was very informative about the history of surrounding areas of Stone Mountain. Plenty of time to walk around and explore.
Durf was wonderful. He respected my difficulty with walking and accommodated me at each stop. The knowledge that he shared was perfect and encompassing. I would give him a 10!
Overall great for weekend get away, would recommend this for couples, wear comfortable sneakers and extra cash to eat. Dress for the weather especially when hot. Great adventure and I’d do it again.
My experience with Jeff's tour was super good, he taught us about the history of each place on the mountain we visited, I took a nice experience.
Jeff is an amazing tour guide. Very accommodating and professional. Highly recommend! Perfect for a quick visit in Atlanta.
Very fun and informative experience. I wasn’t expecting so much history to be tied to the mountain, but for those of you who enjoy learning about history, I recommend! Durf was extremely kind and definitely went the extra mile to make this a delightful experience for all of us. The scenery was very beautiful all the way around and everything that was listed for sightseeing on the website (and by our guide) was shown. I’m not sure why that other person said they weren’t shown the confederate memorial carving because you essentially pass by it twice… they must have not been paying attention to the guide lol I think the price was fair 5+ hours, snacks, water, bathroom breaks, air conditioning, and basically a taxi. What could you ask for?
This is a great tour! The tour group is small so it comfortable in the van. Our tour was full and it was very comfortable. The tour guide Dirf had great extensive knowledge of GA history and the mountains past. There is enough stops for restroom breaks and the guide brought water and fruit for snacks! Highly recommend!
Don’t miss this . Lots of information
It was worth the trip. Although I traveled solo everyone was so nice, the atmosphere was so peaceful, the entire expirience was amazing.
The tour was beautiful and very informative! I loved having the option to hike up Stone Mountain and then enjoy scenery riding the cable car on the way down. We enjoyed it!
Dirk was a great guide and gave us lots of information on the park, Atlanta and Georgia. Very well informed, safe driver, and super nice and engaged!
Durf Humphries was excellent, really knowledgeable. Had a great time! Definitely would recommend:)
Dirk was very knowledgeable and very chipper! Excellent tour guide for this experience. It is an interactive tour. Would definitely recommend.
Tour guide Durf Humphries was very knowledgeable about Stone Mountain and the Atlanta region. He was also a very safe driver.
Very interesting. Tour guide Dirk was very informative. Learned a lot about Stone Mountain and history of the area.
Exciting, informative and great view and landscape.
I found this event at the last minute. I was skeptical about it at first. I didn’t know what to expect. I am so glad that I secured my spot. I hated history growing up and could care less as an adult…until this tour. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour from the time I got on the activity van to the time that I got off of the activity van. Durf is extremely knowledgeable. He kept me entertained and intrigued by both pre-historical, historical, and current events. I was never bored. I was in awe of how everything tied together, seeing a lot of places where movie scenes have been made, having exclusive access to a lot of historical sites, trails, mountains, and nature. I had a blast and I am so glad that Durf was the guide for this experience. Durf is so thoughtful of tourist, helpful, and makes learning history interesting. It was truly amazing. I had a euphoric day!
Our tour guide, Durf from Roundabout tours, was great and awesome! Would highly recommend this tour!
This was an all around perfect experience! The conductor/ tour guide was the best!! He’s a combination of humor and experience! His presentation was one of our best!!
Very detailed and informative history of the mountain was explained by the tour guide. We stopped at various places and took the cable car ro the peak of the mountain. Well-organised trip.
The tour guide was great very informative and a truth teller . I really like how history wasn't white washed. As a solo traveler black woman I felt safe no weird vibes.
The tour was really amazing, our tour guide was Turf, very knowledgeable and patient. He was very respectful and nice.
Great guide with good information. Nice van for transport. Saw things we might not have seen otherwise.
We got to see the amazing views of Stone Mountain I must say it was absolutely amazing you get to enjoy and see what nature has to offer and also get some knowledge about the history of the mountain.
I booked this 5 hr stone mountain bus tour $89.00 and was sent a confirmation saying arrive at 9:30 am for the bus tour with a link underneath the message saying get directions I got to ne Atlanta and it took me in a very bed neighborhood to a house. I tried several times to get a hold of someone and finally left for my hotel since there were homeless people all around me and I felt unsafe. I finally got ahold of someone from viator and explains what happened. I never did get a refund or was offered to go another day. The person from viator was scolding me and saying I should have read the address from the ticket. While I was on the phone with her I went again to the confirmation email with the get directions link and it took me to the same house I had arrived at earlier. Don't get ripped off. I dont even know if this tour exists.
Great guide which was Durf. He was knowledgeable and kept the day flowing. Was interested in the group and gave insider tips on additional ways to enjoy the park.
It was an amazing experience would recommend to anyone he made it a fun enjoyable and overall amazing trip
Great informative experience. In and out of the van to see sites up close and take photos. Recommend this booking.
Great tour! Our guide provided us with a detailed history of the mountain, interesting tidbits about state politics and Y’allywood and bunch of restaurant recs. The day was overcast and breezy, but the view was still good. This tour is well worth the investment.
Mr. Durf is very knowledgeable about the history of Atlanta and he explained all very clearly and professionally. He was on time and his business conduct was very reliable and honest. We enjoyed the trip very much and we could honestly recommend the trip to anyone for the same reasons.
Our guide, Durf, was fantastic! He was so knowledgeable about the history of Georgia and happily shared this with our group. Lots of facts about the Stone Mountain. Durf also knows a lot about the movie business in Atlanta, which we all found fascinating.
I did the Stone Mountain Park tour with Roundabout Atlanta and had an absolutely wonderful time. Our guide Durf was the highlight of the experience — knowledgeable, engaging, and clearly passionate about the history and stories behind every stop. The tour was well-paced with several great stops along the way, giving me plenty of time to take it all in without feeling rushed or worn out. Durf had a natural ability to make interesting facts genuinely entertaining, which kept us engaged throughout. Beautifully organised and flawlessly delivered — I couldn't have asked for a better guide. Highly recommend!
This is a wonderful way to see ALL of Stone Mountain. It is a long tour (5 hours), but you'll see things you wouldn't have otherwise seen with an informative tour guide. Snacks & water provided, but definitely eat before hand. Plenty of stops to stretch your legs, take pictures and use the restroom. Getting to the top of the mountain is worth it. Fantastic view!
Jeff was kind, knowledgeable and seems to enjoy what he does. This was Exactly what I need to get understanding of stone mountain and the surrounding area.
Outstanding Stone Mountain Tour Experience We had an amazing experience with Jeff Moore from Roundabout Atlanta Tours & Transportation during the Stone Mountain Park Sightseeing Tour on December 26, 2025. Jeff was absolutely fantastic—professional, knowledgeable, friendly, and genuinely passionate about what he does. From the moment the tour started, he made us feel comfortable and welcomed. He shared so much interesting history and local insight about Atlanta and Stone Mountain, which made the experience even more meaningful. The tour was perfectly paced, well organized, and stress-free. Jeff went above and beyond to make sure we had a great time and didn’t feel rushed at any point. His attention to detail and personal touch truly set him apart. If you’re visiting Atlanta and want an unforgettable sightseeing experience, I highly recommend Jeff Moore and Roundabout Atlanta Tours & Transportation. This was one of the highlights of our trip, and we would absolutely book with him again!
It was an enjoyable experience, guide arrived on time, was knowledgeable, and courteous. I really enjoyed the hike up the mountain.
Durf was incredibly knowledgeable about the city. I learned a lot and enjoyed everything. I forgot the driver's name, but he gave THE BEST recommendations for local places to eat
Save your money and just go to Stone Mountain on your own. My wife and I were severely underwhelmed with the tour. We've never been to Atlanta and the sites along the way to Stone were less than interesting. Some of the stops included driving around a camp site for God knows what. Just a total waste of time. The only part that was interesting was actually taking the tram up the mountain and we could have saved ourselves 5hrs of useless stops that were not interesting and NINETY DOLLARS PER PERSON if we just went to Stone Mountain. To cap it off, we had Omar and he was a nice guy but idk wtf these other reviewers found so special about his tour guiding. At the end where you're stuck in a bus after 6hrs of being on a tour driving back to Atlanta, he talked the whole way about useless facts. I just wanted to sit in peace and quiet and it was really annoying hearing him talk the whole time on the loudspeaker. Usually other tours put music on or lay off engaging with folks but this was nonstop banter. Not worth the money and above all, just a very subpar tour that stretches itself out to include very uninteresting places when you can just go to Stone Mountain on your own if you have a car.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Stone Mountain Tour – Atlanta, Georgia (October 12, 2025) We had a fantastic experience on the Stone Mountain Tour with DURF! His deep knowledge of Atlanta and Stone Mountain’s history, combined with his humor and storytelling, made the day both educational and fun. We especially enjoyed the covered bridge, our walk around the island, exploring the quarry, and taking the trip to the top of Stone Mountain—DURF kept everyone engaged and made us appreciate the rich history and beauty of the area. Thank you, DURF, for such a memorable and enjoyable tour!
