Our tour guide Jeff was phenomenal—knowledgeable, personable, engaging, and wonderfully humorous. He had a remarkable way of bringing history to life while keeping us entertained throughout the experience. What I appreciated most was that he never rushed us. He took his time, encouraged us to fully appreciate each stop, and made sure we had an enjoyable and meaningful experience. His passion, knowledge, and genuine personality made the tour both educational and memorable. It was truly an amazing day filled with history, culture, laughter, and appreciation for the rich legacy of the Civil Rights Movement and Atlanta’s History and Culture. **If you’re visiting Atlanta, this tour is a MUST. I highly recommend it, and I would absolutely take it again. Five stars all the way!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
The ATL Black History Tour was a fantastic and enlightening exploration of Black history, culture, and life in Atlanta. Our tour guide, Omar, was exceptionally knowledgeable, personable, and engaging, bringing history to life through his informative storytelling and interaction with the tourists. The visits to significant Black historical sites provided a deeper appreciation of Atlanta's rich African American heritage and the contributions that have shaped the city's history, culture, and living experience. This tour was not only educational but also inspiring and memorable. I walked away with a greater understanding and appreciation of Atlanta's historical significance to the Black experience. I highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in exploring the rich history and cultural legacy of Black Atlanta. Kudos to Omar for an outstanding experience!
Amazing tour and enjoyed every minute. Jeff was really knowledgeable, entertaining and I learned so much. A great mix of history, visiting local businesses with great stories, learning about current day Atlanta. Jeff showed lots of incredible photos and videos on the tour. Highly recommend as a woman on her own so much easier than trying to navigate alone. Highly recommended.
Omar, our tour guide, has great customer skills; very knowledgeable; attentive to his tourist needs; went over and above our expectations! I would recommend this tour especially to African Americans because there is very expanse history in Atlanta that I didn't know!
I had an amazing time on this tour. Our guide was very knowledgeable and made the experience fun and memorable. Would definitely recommend!
The tour guide was soo knowledgeable and taught the kids and us so much about American history. A must, especially in the times we live in
It’s very educational and enlightening. The tour guide. Omar was very personable and exciting. Very learned man.
If you’ve come to this site to determine what tour company to use, just stop. Book Roundabout. Seriously. Jeff deftly weaves humour with social commentary, Black history and culture. Truly one of the best tours I’ve ever taken. Thank you Jeff!
What a great experience! We were immersed in Atlanta’s culture and history, and I especially appreciated the focus on individual stories, including women whose contributions to the civil rights movement are often underrepresented. Jeff was incredibly knowledgeable—I actually started taking notes! He brought the history to life with photos, videos, and a book. To top it off, he gave everyone an electronic guide to Atlanta restaurants and experiences. Such a thoughtful extra! Absolutely worth the money. Highly recommend!
I highly recommend Roundabout Atlanta Transportation & Tours, “Black History and Civil Rights Tour” if you want to learn about the incredible people who were born in Atlanta or made a lasting impact while living and working there. Jeff was an outstanding tour guide, knowledgeable, engaging, and passionate about Atlanta’s history. The tour included many stops throughout the community, giving us a chance to visit important local shops, landmarks and staples in the community. I enjoyed touring the Martin Luther King Jr. Center for Nonviolent Social Change and driving by Dr. Kings home. The food at Kenley’s restaurant was absolutely delicious. Try something, anything! You won’t be disappointed. Seeing Madea’s house and Tyler Perry Studios were an added bonus for me. Most importantly, the tour gives you an opportunity to see both the good and the bad while gaining a deeper appreciation for Atlanta’s history, growth, and remarkable expansion. This tour truly touches on it all. An excellent experience and a great way to see Atlanta through the lens of Black history, civil rights, culture, and community.
Jeff was a fantastic guide. Wonderful to learn about the rich history of Atlanta in the Civil Rights movement.
Great tour history of the civil rights was fantastic. To see where a lot of civil rights activists did there work. Take a trip back in time. Always remember

Yesterday’s tour was an incredible experience! We visited several historical sites throughout Atlanta and learned so much about the rich history and contributions of Black people in this amazing city. Our narrator was truly exceptional. His knowledge of history was impressive, but what stood out the most was his passion. You could tell that he genuinely loves Atlanta and takes pride in sharing its story. His storytelling brought the history to life and made the entire experience meaningful and memorable. I left the tour with a deeper appreciation for Atlanta, its history, and the people who helped shape it.

We walked away with a great insight on the civil rights history in Atlanta. I highly recommend booking the tour. Will definitely do another tour in the future.
What an excellent piece of history. Mr. Jeff Moore did a phenomenal job taking me through the black history and civil rights tour. He is very knowledgeable and thorough . The screen in the van brings each piece of history to life as the pictures pop during the tour along the way. He was very patient and friendly, helping with taking some pictures and ensuring that I captured every piece and landmark. He made sure to explain every detail and to touch on every aspect about black history . This is a great tour full of information that needs to be kept and passed on forever.

Atlanta is a great cover page. This tour provides the details. Anyone who celebrates their Black American heritage will love the details. Anyone who needs to know why or what Black Americans celebrate, will love or should love the tour.
Best tour I have ever taken thus far! In fact this was my 2nd time, had to bring family to experience as well. I'll keep coming back bringing more friends and family to experience.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ 5/5 — AMAZING! This tour was absolutely amazing! Our tour guide was on time, personable, engaging, and knew ALL things Atlanta! He kept us entertained and interested for over four hours, and the time flew by. As first-time visitors to Atlanta, we learned so much about the city, its history, culture, neighborhoods, and Black history. It was a great way to really see and understand Atlanta beyond just the typical tourist attractions. The tour was well worth the time and money. Our guide even provided us with a very thorough and detailed list of top restaurants to visit while we were in town, which was an unexpected and appreciated bonus. I’ve already recommended this tour to other family members and friends visiting Atlanta. Definitely a must-do when visiting the city!

Brought the spirit of the time to life and reconnected me to the amazing history of our change makers loved the trivia tidbits and exchange with other tour participants. Our tour guide and driver were experts in the history and made the experience extra special.
I travel a fair amount. Earlier this year, I made a promise to myself to see and experience the black history for every city I visit. This tour was extraordinary. The tour guide, Jeff, was so knowledgeable about our black history and our current events. The length of the tour was just right; 4 hours. The van was clean, comfortable and roomy. Jeff supplied snacks and water. I highly recommend this tour! It was one of the best I have taken.
Amazing experience., educational and well explained.
Awesome tour of the city of Atlanta. Jeff knows his city!!!! We had a wonderful time seeing history.
This tour was great from beginning to end. There is so much civil rights history in and around the Atlanta area that its difficult to experience everything in just a few hours. However this tour covered more than expected and enough to leave a lastimg impression. The tour guide was very knowledgeable on the area's history and his connection to the neighborhood provided personable experiences at each stop. This tour should be on everyone's itinerary to experience at least once in their life. Thanks to Roundabout Atlanta Tours for the opportunity to experience Atlanta in such a unique and unforgettable way!
Enjoyed tour of various neighborhoods, colleges. Informative guide, Omar.
Comprehensive, interesting and educational tour; worth your money. Comfortable ride and the tour guide was friendly and knowledgeable.
Booking was very good, knowledgeable and excellent guide.
I enjoyed this tour so much. The tour guides were very kind, informative and entertaining. We had an awesome group of people. I've learned so much and it brought history to life for me. I was filled with pride and humility at same time. Proud of the rich history of my culture, yet humbled by walking in the footsteps of giants. Each culture needs pride to pass on strength and dignity to the next generation. This tour will give you that pride and make you walk with your head a little higher in a hateful world.
