Itinerary
Decorated in traditional riverboat red, white, and blue, floating palaces continue to transport visitors back to a time when elegance and relaxation were expected from river travel. The sightseeing cruises have a live guide. Both riverboats offer a glass-enclosed climate-controlled dining and observation deck with panoramic views, open-air patio, and has numerous bench seats that line the upper decks for incredible city views and plenty of sunshine.. Anytime is a good time for a cruise down the river. Come and enjoy Savannah’s only riverboat tour experience!
Make your way down river to Old Fort Jackson, home of one of the largest and oldest original artillery pieces in the country! Take advantage of the great photo opportunities of Savannah’s historic riverfront and skyline.
A broad waterfront promenade lined with shopping, dining, and entertainment venues, River Street is one of the main arteries of the historic city.

Very easy access. Staff was very accommodating. Smooth sailing. Lots of local history presented. Don't miss the cannon!
The only issue I have is parking being confusing. My GPS took me to a cobblestone lot only meant for city/construction vehicles. I think there should be clearer information upon booking this excursion especially for people who are not familiar with the area at all. Outside of that it is a 1 1/2 hours tour on the river. Loved the narration. The shops and restaurants on the river walk are fun. I ate at Huey’s and would recommend. It was a gorgeous day for it.
If you're visiting Savannah for the first time, start here. It's not only a relaxing 90 minutes, but the historian's discussion is top notch.
Captain Z was full of history and info about the local area. He did a great job! Very interesting info with a little comedy on the side.
Not much shade available on top deck. Narrator was very good and the scenery was excellent. The historical information was very interesting. The photos are expensive to download and it would be more transparent to say so up front.
Wonderful experience with lots of interesting and fun facts about the region. Liked the break at the end with music to just enjoy talking!
This was a nice trip on the river in a beautiful paddle boat.
Absolutely loved it and already recommended to several people 😊 A must do on your list of things to do in Savannah
Just ok. Savannah harbor isn’t anything to write home about.
It was very informative and enjoyable We enjoyed the food. It was easy. To get on and off which made it more enjoyable
Great experience! Loved learning the history of the town! Would commend doing the tour for any but especially for someone that likes history.
Nice and fun activity to do in Savannah. Nice clean boat with plenty of seating and great narration during the 90 minute ride..
Disappointing experience with the souvenir picture. No one told us how to buy one just handed me a ticket. I assumed I would use that to pick up my picture. The crew kept bringing pictures to other passengers. Towards the end I realized maybe I needed to do something with the ticket. Scanned the code and ordered assuming I could pick up on the way out. They had the picture but said since I paid on line I couldn’t have it. Now I’m out $40 with only a digital print.
It was a lovely leasurely afternoon cruise on the Cape Fear River. The cruise was relaxing and informative.
Not what we expected ☹️. A lot of information if you are into history, but boring if you are not. A small selection of Food was available, but we wish we had booked a dinner cruise or musical show. Kids would definitely be bored. We would have canceled and booked a different type of cruise, but there was no refund.
Great way to experience the port of Savannah. Very informative. Everyone was very polite and knowledgeable.
This was our second time taking this tour and it was just as enjoyable as the first. The crew is very friendly and the amount of history that is shared in a short amount of time is plentiful. The narrator was funny and kept the passengers intrigued the whole time. We look forward to this tour again the next time we visit.
This cruise was perfect. I loved the Georgia Queen! The narration was educational, fun, and interesting. Beautiful scenery the entire way. The boat is huge so you are never crowded. Highly recommended.
Enjoyed our cruise. It was a cool sunny day that we enjoyed. The guide was very informative.
Nice river cruise with an excellent historian giving an interesting talk on the civil war, along with the shipping industry
Lovely! Great narrator and staff, super chill ride and a lot of cool history! Will go every time I come back!
Choose a deck that meets your needs- we loved top deck but it can get a little brisk. Ensure to watch for dolphins
Wonderful river cruise with a great tour guide!! Learned so much history of the area and even got to see dolphins!! Highly recommend!!
Really liked this. Good food and entertainment. We went on the "Gospel" night and were pleasantly surprised.
This is an incredible boat and value great experience great staff very informational tour the tour guide was exceptional as well
Very nice. Relaxing and extremely informative. Beautiful scenery and watching huge container ships come in was also interesting. Narrator was veri knowledgeable.
Boarding and getting off were smooth. It was surprisingly busy for a Thursday, but there were plenty of benches and tables, plus bars with reasonably priced drinks. The views weren’t spectacular, but it was a lovely way to unwind. My only criticism was some of the commentary. A joke about cargo ships needing someone who speaks “good English” to enter the port, along with a few other jokes and expressions, felt outdated for 2026. I would have enjoyed the tour more without those remarks. Overall, though, I’d still highly recommend the cruise!
It was very easy to book the trip. The crew was great and it was very clean. The captain was very informative during the trip. Thank you for a wonderful trip.
We enjoyed our river cruise. Tour guide did a wonderful narration!
Rain or shine this is a must do activity when you visit Savannah, GA. The captain provided an excellent history of the Georgia Queen and the various ship, businesses and landmarks on the riverfront.
Fun, informative, good history , great views, plenty of seating. Food drinks bathrooms all were easy to use and readily available. Definite do!
Just an average tour on a neat ship. Information was good. Facilities ok, drinks way overpriced. Would pass next time in town.
Went for lunch cruise. Food was average-chicken was dry. The Savannah riverfront is not very interesting and it definitely isn’t pretty. If you just want to take a ride for a couple hours it’s fine. I’d just do the tour and skip paying for the food. The narrative was full of info that I didn’t find interesting, but maybe that’s just me. Wish I had just taken a walk down the riverfront and eaten at a good restaurant instead.
Narrator was very good and knowledgeable, but it is in a busy port and there's not as much to see as I was thinking. We left late due to a big container ship leaving before us. It was though a good way to hear some of Savannahs history
My husband and I took the 1:00pm cruise. It was educational and enjoyable. This was our first trip to Savannah, and we really had a great time on the river cruise.
Nothing to see on the shoreline, which is a mess. The history lesson from the captain I can get in a book.
We sailed on the 1:00 pm trip. It was the perfect weather day! The narrator was very good and extremely informative. Seeing Fort Jackson salute us was a fun surprise. The ability to go up on top or inside to cool off was a benefit. Drinks were okay. We tried the muffuletta sandwich - it was delicious! We think this is a good value.
Andrew was an outstanding tour guide. He offered us the perfect blend of history and current local interests with just the perfect bit of personal stories to make for a totally delightful tour!
We are in our 80's and took our 5 and 8 year old grandchildren. We booked on TripAdvisor. Registration went perfectly. When we boarded we went to the 3rd deck immediately, and selected the first table closest to the bar and restrooms, next to the doors to the outside walkway, and got snacks and drinks, it was a perfect location. The tour guide was excellent and the clarity over the PA system was also excellent. The inside location provided AC comfort. The e tour guide provided interesting historical, geographical, industrial, ecological, and architectural material that even captured the older child's interest. The womens' restroom was clean, NOT disgusting as other reviews stated. The ship was clean, the food was OK and not overly expensive. We got ice cream, big pretzels, popcorn, and drinks. Other items were available, like chicken strips, that looked good. This was an altogether wonderful excursion that we would highly recommend. River Street is amazing and worth exploring before or afterwards.
Everything was great except the speaker on our level went out a lot, so we missed almost half of what the narrator said. That was annoying.
It was a nice tour. You got a different perspective of Savannah from the boat. We enjoyed the narrative they gave along the way.
It was a beautiful day to be on the river. My husband and I were excited to take the sightseeing tour and were not disappointed. The speaker was very knowledgeable and injected a lot of humor in his talk. Highly recommend this tour.
This river cruise was disappointing. Not really much to see along the river. Nice to be on the water but the bugs were very annoying, it might be this time of year. I don’t think we would do this cruise again. The guide was very knowledgeable and did make it interesting.
Loved the boat ride Great scenery along with great information Was nice to be able to sit inside or outside
Went up and down the river. It was beautiful! Great guide.
They’re right was very comfortable. The boat was extremely clean and the narrator provided a lot of history about Savannah river.
The narrator was amazing. He was very knowledgeable and interesting to listen to. Really cool experience.
I booked the sightseeing riverboat cruise- as we were getting on the boat, we were told which decks were open (the top two as this was not a lunch or dinner cruise). There were open air seating options, or interior options. I chose to sit on the top deck for the views (did not disappoint). Our guide was phenomenal- it was clear that he really knew (and loved) the history. Food and drinks were available for purchase. I did not partake in the food, so I cannot comment on the quality, but the bar drinks were fine. I would absolutely recommend this experience to friends.
I was very disappointed in the Savannah Riverboat Cruise. It was less than interesting to hear the narrator drone on about the Savannah River and its value to the nation’s shipping industry. Unlike the historic city tour, there were no beautiful sites to see. I couldn’t wait for the tour to be over. I wouldn’t recommend this tour to anyone. The town itself is so beautiful that it’s better to spend your visit on the land.
