The 2 Hour Dolphin Eco Tour with Savannah Harbor Cruises was a highlight of our trip. The tour guides were informative and fun, and you can tell they genuinely get excited about what they do. Their enthusiasm made the whole experience more enjoyable. The boat ride itself was a treat, offering a whole new perspective on the city of Savannah from the water. Even with the king tides that came in during our stay, we still spotted a few dolphins playing in the water. As a bonus, we saw three bald eagles along with a variety of other birds, which was a real thrill. It was a great way to spend the morning, and I’d recommend this tour to anyone visiting Savannah!

The host were knowledgeable and made the tour interesting along with being able to see a few dolphins along the way
It was an excellent experience. A lot of fun, informative, and overall very much worth it! Being on the river was great!
The Captain was very entertaining. Made the ride exciting. Him and his mate. They went out there way to find the dolphins tell themhistiry
Great paced tour with friendly guides. They are experienced getting close to some of the 200 dolphins living in the river, so you have great chances - we even saw an iconic dolphin jump on our tour! Well worth it
Not happy...still requesting a refund for 1 ticket I purchased i didn't use because my family member got sick, how can I control if someone gets sick. Please can I get my refund for that ticket only 5 of us rode on the dolphin boat cruise
It took us a bit more time to locate a pod of dolphins but it was a fun experience. The guides are knowledgeable and friendly. We would recommend it.
It was an amazing experience! We got to see plenty of dolphins and other wildlife like bald eagles and birds. Our guides did a fantastic job of informing us about dolphins and the ecosystem around them. It was a once and a lifetime experience.
This tour exceed our expectations. The guides were informative while still being entertaining (so many good puns for the dolphins). The boat was simple but clean and comfortable — most importantly everyone had a good view. Best of all we saw tons of wildlife - two pods of dolphins cormorants, herons and bald eagles…oh and cannot forget the tiniest fiddler crab. Good job Tanner fishing him off the floating grass. Would highly recommend this tour for a relaxing ride down the Savannah River to enjoy learning about its essential ecosystem that seems to coexist with the industry along the river.
We saw dolphins when thin 18 minutes of the tour. The guides very informative I highly recommend this tour
Great time, saw many dolphins! Would recommend to anyone visiting Savannah. Our captain and mate were very nice.
Oh my goodness, captain John was great! So knowledgeable. A wealth of information was shared. He knew right where to find the dolphins and took us there. We saw more that 30 of them. It was a great time. I’d do it again without hesitation!
Enjoyed this tour. Learned about the area and salt marshes and seen a couple dolphins. Captain and deck hand were great! Would do again
Very relaxing few hours on the water to see Savanna from the river. The pilot and his assistant were very knowledgeable and we saw a few dolphins.
Had an amazing experience. Captain Jason, Savvy and Tater were the best guides! Saw so many dolphins while hearing so much history and then returning to an amazing sunset. Highly recommend!
While it is not guaranteed you'll see dolphins, we definitely did and the staff will do everything they can to make sure you do. We liked the tour so much we booked the evening one too! The boat was a smooth ride, and the tour guides were both knowledgeable and funny. Highly recommend.
The Captain and Guide were so positive, entertaining, and engaging!! They had hands-on artifacts. The ride also provided relaxation.
Nice cruise on a beautiful river with plenty of dolphins!
I took the morning cruise and there were only 4 other passengers so I was able to get a wonderful experience running around the boat to get the best views and ask plenty of questions. Dolphins can hold their breath for 8 minutes so it can be a while before you see one resurface (especially if they’re hunting). It was awesome to not only learn about the dolphins, but some of the history and current undertakings as well.
Guides were super friendly and informative. Great tour! We saw several dolphins. Would highly recommend.
We had such a great time looking for dolphins! For some reason, our boat was pretty empty, but our guides were still just as excited to show the few of us as we had heard that they would be. We saw several dolphins and learned a lot about the Savannah River.
Great experience. Took a while to see the dolphins but they did appear. The guides were awesome. Interactive and informative. Seemed to really enjoy their work. I learned a lot and the boat ride was enjoyable. I would recommend
The onboarding of the boat was easy to find. The staff were great. Our guides were Tanner and Connor, they made the experience fun and shared lots of jokes that made the ride more fun. We had difficulty finding dolphins initially but once we found them it was a breath taking experience to see them out in their element versus in captivity. Highly recommend this! We wish we could’ve been out there longer watching but the time we did was great!
We saw dolphins and birds and learned a lot about the ecology of the river. Tanner and Conner were very informative and fun. Definitely recommend.
This is a 2 hour tour. The Capitan and her 1st mate were excellent. They found bottle nose dolphins in several different areas for us to watch . They were very knowledgeable about the history, river, and the marine life. It was a very interesting and enjoyable tour.
It was amazing we got so lucky and traveled with a pod. My daughter had a blast. Everything was amazing. They even had little snacks to purchase. The facts and information didn't stop at the dolphins either. I've been on this earth for 35 years and I learned so much yesterday it was amazing 10/10. Definitely want to try it again. The caption and first mate were so nice and interactive as well. Just an all around great time.
The guides were very knowledgeable and fun! We did see some dolphins and enjoyed being on the water and hearing about the ecosystem and industry!
Connor and Skyler were phenomenal guides! They knew a lot of great information and were just wonderful. The ride was smooth. We were able to see several Dolphin sightings and it was an enjoyable 2 hours. Highly recommend!
Great trip! Captain Windows and Savvi were great. They were very personable and knowledgeable. We ended up learning a lot while we watched the dolphins. If you are considering it, you should do it.
It was a great boat ride. We learned a lot about the coast of GA, and we loved that there was a canopy.
Comfortable boat ride and we saw lots of dolphin and porpoise along with some babies! Sunset ride was nice because it was cooler
We have a fabulous trip with Captain Marty and his charming beautiful crewmate. She was so very knowledgeable, friendly, and informed. Marty was equally delightful. This crew understands their environment, how to entertain and the importance of safety. Give them your business.
Nice day on the water with a friendly, knowledgeable crew of two!! Saw dolphins, eagles and blue heron
My only complaint is that they say be there a half hour early. But gates didnt open then. The area to wait has no shade and the heat index was 110°. Maybe change the instructions. The boat ride itself was amazing. We saw dolphins.
It was AMAZING!! We saw LOTS of dolphins/pods and it also rained on us but it was fun, sort of like an adventure! Capt. Martin and Skyllar are the best❤️very friendly, full of info and accommodating to every need. A definite must see, worth the cost!
Captain Conner and his first mate TANNER were amazing. Yea saw some fish or whatever but the jokes were the best part. Tanner especially. He even got in the water and showed up some dolphin tricks. Knew probably alittle too much about dolphins but it’s okay. Best part was when we met at the bar that night and he showed me his skills with sticks and balls at the pool table. Highly recommend this tour 🐬
Captain Martin did his virgin tour. He did a fantastic job. Captain Conor and the first mate had some really good information. We loved the tour and we loved getting to see the dolphins.
We saw dolphins just after leaving the dock. One of the oldest known dolphins that is 63 along with some moms and babies. So precious! Our little boy loved it.
This was one of the worst experiences. We saw the dorsal fin of maybe three dolphin. The two gentlemen who were Captain and copilot where nice enough but boring as hell!
The tour was absolutely fantastic! We saw a family of dolphins and we stayed with them and the guides gave us all kind of knowledge about the dolphins. Then we went to the marsh and was told plenty of information that just made our trip that much more interesting! When we come back we will definitely do this tour again!!
It was nice to be able tobtrack the dolphins and see the baby dolphin...could be shorter/less expensive
This was a very nice dolphin tour! CPT Lauren did a great job showing us the sites and spotting dolphins. We were able to see not one but two sets of baby dolphins and their mothers. It was well worth the time.
The boat tour was a very enjoyable and informative experience. We saw dolphins 7min into the cruise then proceeded on to the salt marshes where we saw several different species of birds including some Rose Spoonbills. The tour guide were informative and engaging.
Great time with the family! Learned a lot about the area and wildlife.
Great tour, learned a lot and saw dolphins. Learned about the salt marshes and the area. Would highly recommend this tour.
It was surprisingly good. My expectations were low, but it was really enjoyable and we saw lots of dolphins playing in the waves.
We didn’t see any dolphins, but the fins of 2 & that was it. We didn’t even go to the location that was advertised when I paid $165 for this excursion. What made it even worse the captain was telling her partner it had been like that all week, so why take us out if that was a possibility of not even seeing anything. I learned more about boats/ships, mud, & a few birds if anything BUT no dolphins sadly. I just expected more to be coming from out of town. We even tipped leaving as well leaving the boat.
From beginning to end our journey was fantastic. So glad I used Viator to set up our excursion with the dolphins. I purchased our tickets on line. The driving directions were perfect. The dolphin cruise exceeded my expectations. The weather was beautiful. We saw so many dolphins. We were as excited as our grandchildren. The captain and first mare were friendly and knowledgeable. Reasonable price for a 2 hour trip. Highly recommend.
Our dolphin boat cruise yesterday was genuinely fantastic. From start to finish, the experience delivered exactly what we hoped for: calm water, great views, and lots of dolphins gliding and playing all around us. The crew was friendly, knowledgeable, and clearly passionate about the wildlife and the area. They made the whole trip feel relaxed and comfortable. One of the unexpected highlights was the pontoon design. Because it sits low in the water, dolphins could swim directly underneath and along both sides of the boat. It created these magical, close‑up moments where you could watch them glide just a few feet away — sometimes even racing the boat. It felt immersive in a way traditional tour boats can’t match. The boat itself was comfortable and thoughtfully equipped. There was a bathroom onboard, which made the trip easy for families, and they offered snacks for purchase (we didn’t buy any, but it was nice to have the option). Overall, it was a smooth, memorable, joy‑filled experience. If you’re looking for a dolphin tour that gets you close to the action with a great crew and a comfortable setup, this one is absolutely worth it.
Great experience with awesome crew. Learned some local history of Savannah, GA and saw dolphins. Would recommend
