Staff like Summer trigger me to write reviews. Last week we found out church planned wedding may have to change months/cities & Summer quickly quoted us, added a tour, and showed up around with a great vibe (despite us being late due to mixing up Drayton Hotel with Drayton tower addresses). She was upfront with pricing, options, her recommendations, and what she would do & can’t do to curate events at the Drayton. Could not ask for a sales/event staffer with a better attitude & knowledge - and not making it feel like a sales pitch. It felt like a fun walk around learning about a historic building where you could throw a beautiful reception. Would be excited to work with Summer to craft a fun party & room block. Beautiful fun, funky hotel in the heart of Savannah. Prices feel appropriately priced for the mid luxury market. Rooms aren’t as small as one would expect bc of the historic aspect. I would stay here again and again. Rooftop bar & views are beautiful!

Reviews
This is my second review. I originally removed my first post after management reached out to resolve the situation, but after a continuous cycle of shifting timelines and misleading information, I feel compelled to share the full experience. My AirPods were stolen by the staff here on the 17th. While I finally recovered them on the 29th, it was entirely due to my own efforts, not the hotel's. I had to file a police report and track the devices on the Find My app, watching them travel to a private residence before making their way back to the hotel days later. Getting answers from management was incredibly difficult. I was repeatedly promised callbacks--first at 3:00 PM, then at 4:00 PM--only to be completely ghosted for an entire day. Management only took the situation seriously after I posted my initial negative review. Once the review was live, the interim manager called immediately, offering 20k Hilton points as a goodwill gesture and claiming it would cover a night at "most places." Wanting to cooperate and focus on getting my property back, I agreed to take the review down. The poor communication continued with the shipping process. Management promised to overnight my AirPods the next morning, but the Find My tracking showed the AirPods still at the hotel until I followed up yet again to ask why it hadn't been dropped off at FedEx. It has now been a week since the points were promised, and they still have not arrived. When I followed up, the interim manager claimed the system takes two days to process them - meaning the request was never actually submitted when promised last weekend. Furthermore, the information provided about the loyalty program was incorrect: I was told the points do not expire, but Hilton corporate policy states they expire after 24 months of inactivity. The valuation is also incredibly misleading; 20k points does not cover a night at "most places," especially considering a single night at this exact property costs 66k points. While the staff member Michael was pleasant to deal with, the interim management team simply said whatever was necessary to get a negative review removed, with zero genuine follow-through. I highly advise travelers to keep a close eye on their belongings and be wary of management's promises. Oh and the rooms are very humid the rugs were wet, and the floors are sticky and the sheets and bedding felt moist and damp.
The Drayton is wonderful. The location is perfect for sightseeing. It’s located minutes walking distance away from almost everything. The staff is super friendly and helpful especially Clifford the Valet. I can’t sing this young man’s praises enough. He is respectful, courteous, helpful, the list goes on. If he’s not employee of the month every month and in line for a promotion and a raise he should be. The he rooms are very nice with comfortable beds and the lighting is geared toward relaxation. The hotel does have room service even though the internet says it doesn’t. The coffee is excellent down stairs and St Neo’s is comfortable and the food is good, and the menu is limited, but that doesn’t matter since there are excellent restaurants within 5 min walk of the hotel. Overall our experience was amazing. We love the Drayton, and its Art Deco design, and will stay again next time we are in Savannah.
Booked this hotel last minute, and when I say last minute I mean like right down to the second. They were so nice and pleasant to speak to, accommodating on the phone (as we were late to check in) the lobby is so pretty and full of color, the rooms are also the same. Giving a very comfortable vibe. Everything is clean and smells wonderful. And the location is the best, right in the middle of all history and shopping, and just a 3 minute walk to the river, which is a romantic spot to walk up and down with a partner. Dining on site which is convenient, amazing coffee in the rooms.
My husband and I stayed at the Drayton back in September and loved it so much, we had our wedding on the rooftop last weekend. The decor is so warm and inviting, the rooms are perfection (those wide plank floors!) and the service outstanding. Joy, Peter, Joseph, and Summer helped create the most wonderful evening rooftop party for us, even our guests complimented the space, the attentiveness and the stunning views from the best rooftop in Savannah. Perfect location to walk anywhere in the city with a coffee from the little coffee shop inside. We adore this hotel and are beyond satisfied and impressed with how they handled our guests and wedding day. Top tier!!
