Ocean Lodge Resort

This was our second time staying here and all of the people there were wonderful. The food was exceptional as always, but the service has suffered a bit since we stayed there in 2021. This is one of our favorite places, so we hope the lack of resources doesn’t hurt it. Location is fantastic and me whole vibe is really cool. Just needs to be tuned up a little bit.

We got a last minute reservation to be close to our son’s location on his vacation. The unit we had was much nicer than just a hotel room. We were on second floor, so we had very little view of the ocean. It is across the street from the beach and those houses. There was one bedroom, partial kitchen, living room and two bathrooms. The bathroom with just a shower would have overflowed during my first shower had I not seen it. My husband had to call a number because there was no one on site. A man and his young son came about 39 minutes later equipped to fix it and they did. Apparently, it has happened many times. The floor was dirty as our feet were black the first night from walking barefoot. No rugs, so we had towels all around to keep our feet clean. It is somewhat expected at the beach to be sandy. A disappointing thing was that there were plates and mugs in our cabinet that were literally dirty with food (not from dishwasher). Someone stuck them in between clean dishes. Many things were covered in dust, which I am allergic to. Even though this was all happening, we enjoyed the location and the uniqueness of the experience. I do wish they had more people on site. We asked one person we saw in a room off the lobby of the restaurant if the coffeemaker in there had coffee made I. The morning. He told me that we could make it ourselves and not to depend on others. That was odd. We had a Keurig in the room and just it. The bed was old, but semi comfortable. The porch was large and had furniture. The AC was cool at night which is huge for me. We did not eat in the restaurant as it is not open most of the days we were there. I was told it was good. We may stay there again. I’d like to think this was just a fluke.

Wouldn’t stay here again. Room was spacious, but needed a dehumidifier or something. I’ve never stayed in a beach condo that was so bad. The floors were slick all the time with dampness. There was a note to keep doors closed to stop moisture inside, which we did, but that did not help. All our clothes when we got home and unpacked them were wet like they’d been in a steam room. My leather purse sat on the counter for 3 days and when I went to grab it to leave realized it was 100% soaking wet from the moisture inside the room, it looked like someone had dumped a glass of water on it. The shower glass doors looked like they hadn’t been cleaned all year they were so dirty. The mattress on one side of the bed was completely broken and angled down. The couch smelled of mildew or mold, which I’m assuming was from all the moisture in the unit. This place has potential and it’s nice sized with a good location, but we will definitely look elsewhere next year.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! We had our wedding here over the past weekend 6.20.2026 and WOW did they go above and beyond! For one the chef killed it with the food! We did tapas style and it was the most delicious little meals. Everyone is still raving about the food. The bartender service was top notch. They moved fast and made sure the bar area was never too crowded. It may have poured down rain the whole reception but it was nothing short of a spectacular evening. To top it off the honey moon suite has the most spectacular view of the beach!! Thank you so much for contributing to the best day of our lives !!!
