I came here solo and enjoyed my 3 day mountain get away! I felt safe here by myself. This place has a rustic charm to it and I met some amazing people. Friendly and helpful staff, great breakfast, and my room was clean. I stayed in the Garden room which has a private balcony. The view isn’t great but it was nice to sit outside to get some air and have a little privacy. There are some small improvements that could be made but to be over 100 years old, it’s a great place to get away and be immersed in the beauty and stillness of nature. I will definitely visit again!

We stayed at this hidden gem for the weekend and had the best time! Kayla, the bartender was the BEST! Every suggestion she made from the drinks, the food, the desserts…was simply perfect! The room is homey and quaint. The bed was super comfortable. I love the little patios and sitting areas. I highly recommend.. If you go for dinner - be sure to have a drink at the bar with Kayla first (or eat there like we did) 5 stays all day!
Just want to preface this review by saying it was our 3rd time staying here (it’s become our anniversary spot) and I’d never have imagined I’d be giving less than a 5 star review. Our first 2 times staying here and eating at the restaurant were absolutely perfect 5/5 experiences in every way…we fell in love with this place! Unfortunately our most recent stay left us feeling a little bummed out. One of our favorite parts about staying here was that along with having a great restaurant inside the hotel, each morning we’d have an amazing freshly prepared breakfast. Saturday morning we found out that things had changed for weekend days and that hot breakfast was now buffet style, which ended up just being 2 things: eggs with ham chunks and hashbrowns…which sadly weren’t very fresh or good. Sunday morning there was no hot breakfast served at all, with no explanation :( Just some drinks, fruit, and pastry-type stuff that you’d normally just nibble on before your actual breakfast. It looked like they were preparing for a separate brunch service a few hours later, but I don’t understand why that would result in no hot breakfast for people staying at the hotel when freshly prepared breakfast is part of what you pay for with your stay. We also didn’t receive any housekeeping in our room (we got back to the room later at night so we didn’t have a chance to ask about it) which was really surprising as the service has always been so great here. Otherwise, all of the staff are absolutely fantastic and incredibly nice. The restaurant is amazing, the bar is great, the rooms are cozy, and the atmosphere is unbeatable. We still love this place, and still recommend it to anyone looking for a romantic or quiet getaway, I just feel like I had to say something about the parts that put a bit of a damper on our stay. We’re really hoping it won’t be that way again if we come back.
We have known about this hotel for a while but it was our first time staying here for a special occasion we were celebrating. We are so glad that we did! The staff was so accommodating, and everything was perfect for a cozy weekend in the mountains. We ate at the hotel restaurant (highly recommended making reservations) and it was so good! It was a little pricey but totally worth every penny in my opinion :)
This location offers a unique experience, one that may or may not be welcome depending on your tastes. The area is extremely quiet, there's only one or two other restaurants in a 8 mile radius. The room was small, the bed was firm, but comfortable enough to sleep on. Everyone was friendly, so no issues there. The restaurant itself is where most of my problems occurred. It took the hostess/manager 5 minutes to figure out where we were going to sit. Once we sat down there was immediately a small fly in my water, while not entirely their fault, the water is placed on the table long before we sat down. After we placed our order, it took twenty minutes to receive my beer, but only after asking for it again. It was roughly an hour before we received our meals. Im not really sure why, because unless they hide customers in multiple locations, they had rooms that were completely empty. Back to the meal; the fries were room temperature, with no salt. I would have added some of my own salt,, but the salt shaker was completely empty. I ordered a burger medium, it came out well done, and it had some decent flavors, but it wasnt worth $24. My wife didn't have any complaints about her meal. It was fresh, nicely seasoned and had quality ingredients. If this location would be more efficient and less chaotic it would make the experience much more enjoyable and recommended.
