We had a wonderful stay at Jekyll Ocean Club! The resort is beautiful, peaceful, and perfectly located right on the beach. Our suite was spacious, clean, and comfortable, with an amazing ocean view. Every team member we encountered was friendly, welcoming, and genuinely cared about making our visit special. We also enjoyed the food and atmosphere at Eighty Ocean. If you’re looking for a relaxing getaway on Jekyll Island with excellent service and beautiful surroundings, I highly recommend Jekyll Ocean Club. We cannot wait to return!

Amazing experience from start to finish! The room was spotless, the hotel was beautiful, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure everything was perfect. The atmosphere was peaceful and luxurious. Highly recommend staying here!
Extremely poor service & very mismanaged. Off site people answer the phone who know nothing about the hotel, transfer you to the restaurant but the number is disconnected!? Phones in rooms don't work & they're so cheap they dont even turn the A/C on in the room yet knew we were checking in early.. Getting the early checkin was like pulling teeth yet the parking lot was fairly empty so on a Thursday not a lot of people checking in. No Concierge..The luggage trolley has no ramp in front of entrance to hotel; highly ui & the sister company is terrible. The fridge is too small, we had a decent sized one in St Simmons Island where we paid a fraction of what we paid to stay here .pWe wanted to celebrate my Birthday at a nice resort but the Motel 6 service left little to be desired.
This place frustrates me. My family is staying for the third time, we come back because we love the location and the layout. The all-suite design is perfect for our family of 5 with small children, and the ground floor poolside suites lend convenience and comfort that are hard to find elsewhere. That being said, every time we visit, we experience issues that dampen our experience. The restaurant has delicious food but ridiculously long wait times even when it’s empty. The pool service is severely lacking, with old dishes not getting bussed for hours at a time, inviting bugs and birds. Will there be pool/beach towels available? Your guess is as good as mine. We reserved a cabana… oops, oversold, sorry. We were still using our room when they came to service it, told them we needed 20 minutes and they just never came back. For a luxury property, I would hope they would have a more service-oriented mindset but there is an overall vibe of just…not caring. It’s not even just the issues we have had but little things like an empty front desk for 10 minutes while you wait, or no one acknowledging you when you arrive. It sadly just doesn’t feel as welcoming as other similarly priced properties, though we really love the aesthetic and the location.
I recently stayed at the Jekyll Ocean Club (4 days, 3 nights) and left disappointed. The hotel markets itself as a luxury property, but the experience didn’t reflect that standard. The biggest issue was the restaurant staffing. The employees were working hard, but there simply weren’t enough of them, which led to very slow food service. That’s not a staff problem — it’s a management problem. The lobby décor also felt out of place for a hotel at this price point. The flooring looked like a bare concrete slab, as if carpet had been pulled up and never replaced. Also there needs to be more lighting in the lobby and restaurants area, appears very dark and gloomy. This all created a noticeably unfinished, unattractive first impression that doesn’t align with a luxury brand. To leadership: if you’re going to charge luxury rates, you have to deliver luxury execution — proper staffing, polished spaces, and consistent service. Those are non-negotiables. At checkout, there was also a $370 dinner charge added to my room for a meal I never had. The hotel corrected the error, but it should never have happened in the first place. As a regular visitor to Jekyll Island, I wanted this to be a step up. Instead, The Westin Jekyll Island hotel next door currently offers a more reliable experience. I expected more from Jekyll Ocean Club.
