Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District, An Ihg Hotel

Great Location, Friendly Staff, and a Comfortable Stay! Overall, my experience at Hotel Indigo Savannah Historic District was very good. One of the biggest highlights of this hotel is its convenient location. Being within walking distance of River Street, downtown Savannah, restaurants, and local attractions made our stay even more enjoyable. The room was very clean, smelled fresh, and was well-maintained. However, I was a little surprised by how small the room was compared to what I expected. Despite the size, it was still comfortable and provided a pleasant experience. I especially enjoyed the bar and restaurant area, which had a great atmosphere. The hotel staff was also very friendly, welcoming, and professional throughout our stay. My biggest complaint would have to be the $48 parking fee, which I personally feel is a little excessive. I understand that parking comes at a premium in downtown Savannah, especially with the convenience of being close to everything, but I believe the hotel could offer guests a more reasonable parking rate. Overall, I had a great stay and enjoyed the hotel's cleanliness, atmosphere, hospitality, and excellent location. I would definitely consider staying here again, especially for the convenience of exploring downtown Savannah and the riverfront. I would recommend this hotel to others, but I would suggest being prepared for the parking cost and potentially smaller room sizes.

Convenient location, within about a 5–10 minute walk of the riverfront and around 20 minutes from the historic district. The area is busy with traffic, and hotel parking is quite expensive, although there is a much cheaper public garage just around the block. The hotel itself was nice, but I was surprised by the experience at the front desk. The staff (3 people that we had interaction won different days) were not rude or unpleasant, but they did not seem as professional or knowledgeable as we would expect from a hotel of this level. They were not very familiar with the hotel amenities or nearby sightseeing options, and overall the interaction lacked the warm, welcoming feel you usually expect in hospitality, felt more like they were doing us a favor by talking to us.

The room was nice and comfortable. The valet was great! Checking out was easy and Mr. Todd was so kind and helpful when he brought our car. He loaded our things into the trunk. Great experience all around! Will stay again and recommend to others!

My birthday is on July 23rd, so this stay is especially meaningful to me. When an issue arose, Sherry Crawford handled my complaint with the utmost sincerity, kindness, and professionalism. She listened attentively, showed genuine concern, and made sure the matter was properly addressed. Her warmth and thoughtful approach went beyond simply resolving a complaint—she helped turn the experience around and made my birthday stay feel much more special. I truly felt heard, respected, and valued as a guest. Sherry is an outstanding representative of Hotel Indigo and a wonderful example of genuine hospitality. She deserves recognition for going above and beyond. Also Elizabeth was very detailed in room service. Thank you, Sherry and Elizabeth for making such a positive difference during my stay.
