Imagine living less than 4 miles away from this hotel and saying, "One day I'm going to have a staycation at that hotel, The Epicurean." Riding past and seeing the beautiful lobby, the people smiling and eating on a gorgeous patio... lighting that always brought the hotel scene together beautifully. Then the time comes! You spend more than the cost of some people's mortgage to stay 3 nights at what you thought would be luxurious days, eating luxurious food by a luxurious pool. Well my experience was NOT THAT AT ALL. I'm so disappointed with my stay. Why? The renovations. Yes, the hotel says on the website that there are renovations happening but they soften the message by saying you wont hear anything. Well of course you won't! Half of the hotel is blocked off. They make it seem like there is some minor changing of floor tiles going on in the corner, when in fact, literally the entire lobby, patio, bar, open air kitchen and check in area is behind plastic! The checkin area is a 10x10 ft room that they somehow sectioned off right at the service elevator. It's wild! When I pulled up my mouth dropped. I went to my room and it smelled like men's cologne. I didn't like that. I checked in late and I was exhausted. They have the hotel guests using the office bar at Google across the street for food. I had to walk outside to go get food. It was 10pm or so and there was literally only 2 people in there, none of whom were ordering food. It took 45 minutes to get a burnt chicken sandwich (pic below). I got it upstairs and took 2 bites and threw it in the trash. When I told the hostess and showed a picture they told me they'd have to talk to management about it to take it off. I just said nevermind. The hotel offers no luxury. The way this hotel toots its horn about Michelin star meals... it's a lie (at least during renovations). The staff members were very nice... but they didn't seem to care that I wasn't having the time I'd hoped for or how disappointed I was at check in. This was a staycation so having a beautiful lobby and various places to sit around the hotel with my computer etc were important to me. I live in Atlanta so sightseeing was not important to me... seeing the hotel was. Even the valet lost my car the morning after my first stay. Yes a $90k car that I was told was not in the system (pic below). Even the valet guy was very nice, but they lost my car! The pool was good. I'm guessing because it was not impacted by renovations. It was relaxing and the food was great but that's the only part that was to satisfaction at this hotel. My advice is to avoid this hotel at all costs until they 100% complete renovations. Because I guarantee that it will not be worth what you're going to pay. I'm very disheartened that at this price point, management doesn't even care to make this right.

Nice hotel. Rooms would not cool or remove humidity well at all. Slept very hot at night. Left my luggage in storage and it took 25 min for them to retrieve it. Would not recommend except for location.
Absolutely unacceptable experience. After midnight, I was denied access to my room because the hotel insisted on a card, despite me having $100 cash available. This requirement was only communicated to me at 12:35 a.m., leaving me stranded and stressed after a long work trip. Poor communication, zero flexibility, and no consideration for guest welfare. I would not recommend staying
I had a wonderful stay at Epicurean Atlanta. The hotel itself is beautiful, clean, and has a great atmosphere. From the moment I arrived, the experience felt welcoming and comfortable. I especially want to thank Lidia at the front desk. She was incredibly kind, patient, and professional during check-in. She took the time to answer my questions and made sure everything was taken care of. Her warm attitude really made a great first impression and made my stay even more enjoyable. It’s staff members like Lidia who truly make a difference. Because of her excellent service, I felt very welcomed as a guest. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend this hotel to others visiting Atlanta. Thank you for such a great experience!
We stayed 4 days at this hotel — Epicurean Atlanta, Autograph Collection in Atlanta, Georgia — and I give it two stars for the following reasons. First of all, the problem is not the hotel itself, but how guests are made to feel. We came to celebrate a birthday and did not receive a single detail or gesture. (I even had to go downstairs to ask for it, and not even then.) There wasn’t even a complimentary bottle of water in the room. Everything available was charged extra. That may be understandable to a point, but a hotel of this category should pamper its guests, make them feel important and comfortable so they want to return and recommend it. The facilities are beautiful and elegant, and the staff is fine. The real issue is the total lack of attention to guest experience and details. It is unacceptable that, paying these rates, guests have to repeatedly ask housekeeping for basic things just to make coffee or get water — because none of that was provided. For the price per night, not even offering a bottle of water or a minimal welcome gesture is disappointing. Basic bathroom amenities were missing. We even had to ask for toilet paper because it ran out. At this price point, a guest should feel valued and important — which did not happen here. I am speaking strictly about our experience. We chose this hotel because it is considered one of the best, yet honestly, we have been treated better at much cheaper hotels. A hotel of this category needs to reflect: luxury is also in the details, and those details speak volumes about the hotel. Unfortunately, we left with a very bad taste due to poor attention to details. A very sad experience. 🥹🥹🥹🥹 I do not recommend it and would not return. There are many better options that offer far more while charging much less. I would post photos, but there is honestly nothing worth sharing. ANOTHER ISSUE: They accept pets and charge an extremely high fee for them, yet they didn’t even provide a bowl for water or a designated area for pets to relieve themselves. Another terrible detail. If that’s the case, they shouldn’t charge for pets at all — or at least refund what I paid for absolutely nothing. Or simply do not allow pets. 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 They are missing many, many important details. So think twice before bringing your pet. They offer nothing — they just charge, and a lot.
