I’m writing to share a disappointing annd confusing interaction at the checkout counter that left my family and me feeling unnecessarily embarrassed. An employee publicly scolded me for “keeping the luggage cart too long,” implying I was inconveniencing other guests. What actually happened was simple: my mother found the cart abandoned in the hallway that morning, and because she’d already seen it sitting there earlier, it was clear it had been left out for quite a while. We used it briefly to bring our bags down. For the amount paid for our two‑night stay, combined with our long‑standing family Hilton Honors status, being spoken to that way was unacceptable. Guests should never be humiliated for using a cart that the hotel itself failed to retrieve. It’s also hard to understand how a brand with Hilton’s resources doesn’t have enough luggage carts to meet guest demand. At minimum, adding a few more carts or better yet, employing a bellhop to assist guests and collect carts left around the property would prevent situations like this entirely. We’ve always enjoyed Hilton, but this experience fell far below the level of hospitality we expect and have consistently received in the past. I hope management addresses both the staffing approach and the tone used with loyal guests moving forward. Also, for house-keeping, room 431 has a gross liquid stain on the wall under the desk that can only be seen when you are laying in bed and the inner windows had random grime on them. Positives: Almost every other employee we interacted with was wonderful and genuinely accommodating, especially the bartenders and the valet gentleman.

Google Review I’m not sure how this hotel is rated as a 4-star property. When I checked in, the receptionist was not welcoming or professional. They were eating and using a toothpick at the reception, which was quite surprising and gave a poor first impression. The room itself was clean, but there were several issues that I would not expect from a 4-star hotel: The ironing board was extremely small and incomplete. It was difficult to even place it properly on the floor, and I had to iron my shirt in very small sections. The door stopper/preventer was loose and not securely fitted. There were no complimentary water bottles in the room. Sink drain was very slow. The gym had very limited equipment and options for a hotel advertised as 4-star. The swimming pool had an unpleasant smell. Overall, while the room was clean, the facilities, service, and overall experience did not meet what I would expect from a 4-star hotel. I would personally rate this hotel closer to 3 stars.
We stayed at the Embassy Suites Alpharetta Halcyon while in town for a sporting event, and overall we had a good experience. The hotel was very clean from the lobby to the rooms, which is always a huge plus for me. The guest associates were especially kind, friendly, and welcoming, which made check-in even better after a long day. Our suite was super clean and spacious. They provided all the main toiletries as well, which is helpful if you forget anything while traveling. The hotel has a bar and restaurant on site, which was very nice and convenient. The bartender was great and very personable. The special shrimp & grits were phenomenal. My only complaint was the breakfast staff and availability. The staff behind the omelet area were rationing out the portions, which normally isn’t an issue. However, providing one French toast stick and when a guest is asking for more, the server was clearly not happy about it by giving a very judgmental and displeasing look, made my children feel very uncomfortable. The hotel Kitchen staff should make sure that the provisions are sufficient based on the booking information ahead of time. We were told that the 2 waffle machines were broken as well. They ran out of regular syrup on our 2nd day(we were here for 5 days) We love Embassy Suites for the breakfast options/variety when traveling. This was the first time we have ever encountered a staff member not being friendly and acting as though we were taking food from their personal kitchen. Overall, I am not sure if we would return to this specific location based on this experience!
Nia took such great care of us!! She was sweet, professional, and so helpful. She made sure we had everything we needed and more, so that I could celebrate my child's birthday. The hotel is super clean and brand new. The mini suite is adorable and spacious. They offer free breakfast and 2 complimentary drinks and snacks for happy hour. I love that it is right at the Halcyon, so it is walking distance from great restaurants and stores. It was a great stay!
I had a great stay at Embassy Suites by Hilton Alpharetta Halcyon and would definitely recommend it! From the moment I arrived, the staff was welcoming and professional. The hotel itself was very clean, and the rooms were spacious and comfortable—perfect for relaxing after a long day. One of the highlights was the complimentary breakfast, which had a great variety and actually tasted good (not always the case at hotels!). The free happy hour was also a nice touch and made the experience feel even more enjoyable. I also appreciated the indoor pool—great for unwinding. The only downsides were the parking fees and the higher-priced snacks, but honestly, they didn’t take away from the overall experience. It’s near tons of restaurants within walking distance! I want to give a special shoutout to Sharon, who truly made my stay even better. Her kindness, professionalism, and positive attitude stood out and made a lasting impression.
