City Mills Hotel

We love historic properties with character and modern amenities and this place did not disappoint! The hotel was very clean and staff were very friendly. I'm a big coffee lover and there was not only a Nepresso machine in the room, but a wonderful machine in the lobby area that made quality lattes! My only complaint would be that the balcony rooms had a shared balcony space with multiple other rooms (maybe I missed that in the listing) and there was a giant wedding tent set up, so no views of the river. Not that big of a deal because we were the only ones utilizing the balcony, but if someone wanted more privacy that might not be the way to go. Overall, our stay was amazing and we have already talked about coming back to ride our bikes on River Walk!

The hotel itself was beautiful, and the staff were always pleasant and welcoming. Unfortunately, the housekeeping service was extremely disappointing and did not match the quality of the property. Throughout my stay, I repeatedly had to request fresh towels, overflowing trash was left unattended, and basic necessities such as bath products and toilet tissue were often not replenished—even after multiple requests. While I appreciated the hotel’s appearance and friendly staff, the lack of attention to housekeeping significantly impacted my overall experience.

What a beautiful hotel located on the river walk! My husband and I, our adult son, and my son’s girlfriend stayed at this establishment and we were all very pleased. The room was spacious enough for the 4 of us. It was clean and nicely appointed. Every hotel employee was professional, friendly, and helpful. I would stay at this location again if we ever find ourselves in Columbus again.

Wonderful place with rich history. This used to be a hydroelectric powered grist mill that started in the mid 1800s to late 1980s and was eventually converted into a very nice upscale hotel and restaurant on the river. We loved everything about this place. The decor was modern/industrial but still felt cozy and comfortable. Very nicely decorated and well maintained. Lots of amenities. Shower was very nice. Comfortable beds/bedding. Staff is very professional and friendly. All around fantastic stay. Highly recommend.
