I expect our review to be followed by one of those phony apologetic replies so, to be clear, we did contact the desk first thing this morning as an opportunity to correct the issues. The response was that not one of the many issues was addressed in a timely manner and most were never addressed at all. No microwave in the hotel room was just an inconvenience we would've accepted, but lying about it knocked off a star. We'd have to be dumb as a rock to believe Hilton chose to not put microwaves in their rooms because "In Georgia it's illegal to have microwaves in high-rise buildings." Obviously, hotels are only one type of high-rise dwelling, along with the condos and apartments right next door, which the owners of obviously can't be told they can't own a microwave in their home. That's easy enough to confirm with a simple Google search, since this isn't 1926. For that reason, we were already down to 4 out of 5 stars. Then came the reason I wrote this review at 3:30am the first night of our stay. I know Hilton has at least a half dozen hotels in Atlanta because we've stayed at most of them in the past. With the company contributing that level of tax revenue to the city, it absolutely has the influence with city government to insist they're not going to let one moron construction foreman ruin the week of everyone within miles by scheduling the loudest part of a project for 3am-4am on a Monday night. I'm not even talking about normal construction. Imagine the sound/feel of a giant steel beam being driven through a 10-yard thick layer of concrete for an hour. Not at 11pm-12am when normal working people would just lose an hour, then be allowed to sleep the rest of the night. Not at 6am-7am, when we'd just lose an hour being woken up earlier than preferred. Squarely at 3am-4am, so everyone within miles could only get a few hours of sleep total before being awoken by such extreme noise that you could not only hear it, but literally feel it... on the top floors of high-rise buildings... even if you're experienced travelers who know to bring ear plugs in case you get noisy neighbors at a hotel. At 4am, silence, and we're left staring at our dusty walls for the next few hours before starting our day. There is no legitimate reason that had to happen at 3am. No, Hilton didn't cause it, but Hilton absolutely had the power to prevent it, if they cared even a little bit once they had our money. So, more stars gone for ruining our entire trip since no sleep means we won't be able to get done most of the things for which we came to Atlanta. That issue is by far the worst, but perhaps wouldn't justify knocking the place down to a lowly 1-star rating... if it weren't for the fact that there is practically nothing right about our room. There is so much dust covering the wood panel across the entire wall right over your head as you sleep that it's probably a good thing you're not allowed to sleep since you'd be breathing that all night. That's months worth of dust, not days. It would take 30 seconds to wipe that dust buildup. The shower door only closes partially, so you end up with water all over the floor every time you shower. The "refrigerator" isn't really a refrigerator (according to the note on it, it's only a "cooler" so you can't actually use it to refrigerate food). The coffee maker doesn't work. The clock doesn't work. The safe only sort of works. Half the toiletries in the bathroom were empty when we arrived. It's as though no one ever goes in the rooms to see if there's anything to be addressed before renting them out. I'm certain the credit card machine at the front desk is always in good working order, so I paid for a Hilton and got a Motel 6. Worse actually. We were also served dirty dishes in the restaurant. We simply can't in good conscience recommend this hotel to anyone, and we certainly won't be back. In fact, we've already found where we'll be staying each time we return to this part of Atlanta and it's only a few blocks away. The one good thing about our stay at this Hilton is the valet staff are all excellent.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ This was our fourth stay at Canopy by Hilton in Atlanta, and we will definitely keep coming back! The service is extraordinary, the hotel is clean, and the people are incredibly friendly and welcoming. A special thank-you to the front desk team and our breakfast server for their kindness and attentive service. Everyone made us feel welcome and truly cared for throughout our stay. It’s the wonderful people who make this hotel so special and keep us coming back. Thank you to the entire team for another excellent experience. Highly recommended!
We had a situation during our stay involving other guests that required us to request a room change. I won’t go into the details because, ultimately, the situation itself was not something I would necessarily blame on the hotel. What deserves to be highlighted, however, is how the Canopy staff responded. Unfortunately, we did not get the name of the lady working behind the front desk that evening, but she was exceptional. From the moment we brought the situation to her attention, she took full ownership of making sure we were comfortable and did everything she could to make the situation right. We were moved to another room, and she handled everything with professionalism, concern, and genuine hospitality. When we checked out the following morning, another young lady at the front desk took things a step further to make sure we felt that our inconvenience had been acknowledged and addressed. It is always easy to write a review when something goes wrong, but I think it is just as important, if not more important, to recognize a hotel and its employees for how they respond when something outside of their control affects a guest’s experience. The staff at Canopy went above and beyond, and we left feeling valued rather than frustrated. Outside of that situation, our experience was excellent. The rooms were spectacular, the hotel was beautiful, and we thoroughly enjoyed the property. Thank you to both of the ladies at the front desk for turning what could have been a negative experience into one that actually made us appreciate the level of service at Canopy even more. That kind of customer service deserves to be recognized.
Had a really great stay at this hotel. Was in a good location for where we needed to be. Their staff was friendly and accommodating. There was one staff member who really stood out for us, and I would stay there again, for that reason alone. She had great recommendations and took great care of us. The rooms were nice, clean, and quiet. Their restaurant had good food and drinks. Would definitely recommend a stay there.
As soon as we arrived and drove up to the valet, the service was impeccable. Jamila was our concierge/front desk staff person. She provided professionalism as soon as we arrived. Moreover, she would send me text messages periodically just to check on us to see how we were doing. She went above and beyond the call of duty and the Canopy is fortunate to have a staff person. Additionally, the rooms were spacious and clean. Also, our housekeeper provided exceptional care for our room. I would recommend this hotel.
