Disappointing Experience and Poor Handling of Missing Personal Belongings I recently stayed at Atlanta Marriott Suites Midtown, and unfortunately, what should have been an enjoyable stay turned into an incredibly frustrating experience. After checking out, I discovered that my Gucci Bamboo portfolio, which I last used and placed inside its dust bag in my hotel room, was missing. I contacted the hotel that same evening and was informed that nothing had been turned in to Lost and Found and that another guest was already occupying my room. Over the following days, I repeatedly contacted the hotel, spoke with several employees, and eventually escalated the matter to senior management. While I appreciate the assistance of a hotel manager who made an effort to follow up, I was disappointed by the lack of proactive communication and the amount of effort required on my part to obtain meaningful updates. Management eventually confirmed that housekeeping had been questioned and that my room was searched while occupied by subsequent guests. However, the portfolio has not been located, and it remains unclear whether those guests were ever directly questioned about the missing item. The matter has since been referred to the hotel’s claims department, and I am awaiting the outcome. I understand that hotels cannot guarantee the recovery of every missing personal item. However, I do expect a Marriott property to demonstrate urgency, transparency, and consistent communication when a guest reports something of significant value missing. What has been most disappointing is not simply the missing portfolio, but having to repeatedly pursue answers rather than feeling that the hotel was proactively working toward a resolution. This experience has seriously diminished my confidence in this property. Unfortunately, based on how this situation has been handled, I cannot recommend Atlanta Marriott Suites Midtown.

Ariel took such great care of me! She was warm, welcoming, and professional. Very patient, too, might I add. Boy did I have a lot of questions and she handled them with ease. This is my home away from home and they did not disappoint! Thank you for the hospitality as I got to squeeze some leisure in with business.
My wife and I stayed here for 4 nights, along with friends who were visiting from out of the country. The location was perfectly situated - only about a 5 minute walk from the MARTA Arts Center station. Plenty of great restaurants, parks and attractions nearby or quick to get to. The rooms themselves were dated, at least 10-15 years since the last major renovation. However this was made up for my the space in the room. There was a full sitting room, which was great for hanging out with our friends after dinner. Our room had a balcony and large bathroom. Definitely a great choice for both couples or groups traveling together.
Every experience is magical. When you walk in the building the energy is so positive and fun. You don't even realize your learning life saving skills. This village of swimming is for everyone that's the beautiful side. The owner and staff are wonderful.
We stayed for two nights. The hotel had pros and cons for us. It is in a pretty good location convenient to a Marta station and to Whole Foods. Check in was easy on the app and it was nice that the room was ready when we arrived at 10 am. Rooms are quite spacious though a little dated. We did not mind that, though we did mind that the room was not very clean. Food crumbs like broken chips on the floor all around the desk. The bed was all wrinkled as if hastily made or as if someone had sat on top after it was made. At first we wondered if the room was still occupied. The sink, bath, and shower faucets all dripped. The refrigerator door had been left open so the freezer compartment defrosted and leaked water all over and the fridge was warm. Odd that there is no safe in the room. We left our bags and went out for several hours. When we returned, I wanted to rest before getting ready for dinner. I turned down the bed sheet and there were nasty reddish brown streaks on the sheets. I tried calling the front desk but ended up going downstairs after being placed on a lengthy hold twice. There is no button on the phone to call housekeeping, just guest services which rings the front desk. There was only one person at the front desk with a long line of people checking in, so I spoke with a very nice gentleman at the guest services desk. He at first said housekeepers were probably gone for the day but he might be able to get me some sheets to change it myself. Odd, but OK I can do that. He went and spoke with the housekeeping manager who ended up coming to the room and changing it herself. She said she didn't think it was dirty, just stains that did not wash out. She said they outsource the laundry and the housekeeper must have missed seeing the stain. She was very nice and friendly, changed all the bedding not just the stained sheet. She made a point to ask what time we would like housekeeping the next day. We told her we would be out all day, but when she insisted on a time we suggested 2 pm. We left the room at 10 am and returned around 6 pm. Our room was never cleaned. We went to the front desk and the young lady there said maybe you left the do not disturb sign out, or maybe you asked not to have service. No, we did not. We told her we did not need a full clean, but if we could get some fresh towels that would be fine. Again, the same manager went up and did a full clean of the room. We appreciated that but still, she should not have to do that. All in all it was an OK stay but would stay elsewhere if we returned to Atlanta.
