Great location and the staff's customer service can be a Master Class! Superb. However, the hotel deserves updating or at least a deep cleaning considering the price point. The first room they assigned me was on the 16th floor - it was mediocre at best...it was dusty, cracks and brown marks on the ceiling. At least camouflage the imperfections (dust above and around the TV, and behind the bed's headboard. A little paste and paint can make the small portion of the ceiling a bit more pleasant, please! Asked for another room...assigned me to 17th floor. Thankfully, it was much better; there was only a small Crack in the ceiling. But, otherwise visually clean. The view from the oversized windows was spectacular.

⭐️ Extremely Disappointing Stay — Unfortunately the price my Fiance Paul, paid for this stay is honestly embarrassing and he deserves a refund of some sort atleast, The Atlanta Marriott Marquis may have a beautiful atmosphere and impressive scenery outside the rooms, but the room we were given was absolutely unacceptable for the amount of money we paid. We were given what felt like the shittiest room in the hotel while paying one of the highest prices. It is an absolute shame that guests are expected to pay premium prices for accommodations that fall so far below expectations. The room was not properly set up for a comfortable extended stay. There was barely anywhere to put our clothing, no adequate drawers or storage to unpack, and the overall experience did not reflect the standard you would expect from a Marriott of this caliber. To make matters worse, the room service food was comparable to something you could get at a gas station, yet the prices were outrageous. We would have been much better off eating at a restaurant. Paying $67 a day for parking is also ridiculous, especially when you are already paying a high nightly rate, plus state and city taxes. There should be a reasonable flat parking rate for the duration of your stay. We are Black Card members, which makes this experience even more disappointing. You would think loyal guests paying this kind of money would receive a room and experience that reflect the hotel’s reputation. Instead, we left feeling completely taken advantage of. The room we were given did not justify the price we paid, and we believe a refund or meaningful compensation is warranted. The hotel may look impressive from the outside, but the accommodations, food, and additional fees made this stay absolutely not worth the money. For what we spent, we would have been much better off renting an Airbnb with more space and a more comfortable experience. I would think twice before staying here again. Marriott needs to do better and take responsibility for the experience guests are paying for.
Beautiful common areas and hotel. Pretty expensive place to stay, and all the restaurants, store/shop, and bar are extremely expensive. Room was good, but not anything special or luxurious. Typical hotel chain style room. Small bathroom with no exhaust fan for the shower steam, and the room always felt a bit stuffy even with the AC set to 65. Staff was great and very accommodating with every and any request.
There was not enough lighting in the room and the hair dryer was broken. I had my card on the room yet they would not let me charge incidental to the room. When I asked why, I didn't receive an answer. I worked in the hotel industry for 11 years. They didn't turn on my incidental or should I say they turned them off. Most systems turn incidentals on once you put your card on the room. You took a deposit off the card so why not turn them on? I'm sure I know why. Most other service was good. The location was perfect. Right downtown and so easy to go from one hotel to the next. Now I have to update. I gave the front desk my Marriott number to add to my reservation and of course she did not add it. Now I am told there is no way to add the stay. I received better service at the Holiday Inn. If not for the conference I was attending, I would have stayed at the Hilton.
Check in went smooth, until I checked my banking and realized they charged me double for the incendentals. I had 2 rooms for 2 nights booked and paid through trivago. My incidental for both rooms should have totaled $300, however I was charged $300 twice totaling $600. I spoke to Carlos who argued with me on the charges. I spoke to another lady at the counter and she explained it was an error on their behalf. I appreciate her kindness. Then when I checked out I checked my banking again and was charged me for a bottle of water that was not consumed, as we brought our on drinks. I had to call to have a refund issued. Still waiting for a pending charge to fall off from the incidental, as some of one of one of the incidental charges was kept for the valet parking which I understand how that works. But $72 a day is insane. Overall valet attendanta and bell hops were great. This Hotel is old and outdated. Needs to be updated. Visual design is pleasing to the eye. Didn't care for the elevator being all glass. Restaurants were impressive but expensive for the type of food served. But traveling in a big city makes that part hard to avoid. Overall I would like to have had the option to park my own vehicle as the charges were just insane for them to park and hold my car at the hotel. Beds were ok. We had a lower room and the view was the roof and building next door, nothing to say other than it was a window. I had requested a higher floor when I reserved the room but didnt not recieve my request. Most likely will stay somewhere else when traveling back into this area.
