We will admire the grand, sumptuous and elegant Palazzo Ducale, was the residence of the Genoese lords and the seat of the city's power, and it too is located in the heart of the historic center, Piazza Matteotti.
The Cathedral of Genoa, the most important church in the historic center, with its precious marbles and its breathtaking architecture, will make us raise our heads up to heaven to be able to see it all.
The tour ends with a walk along the seafront, in the PORTO ANTICO, with its pavilions and modern buildings, the fantastic and fascinating Galeone Neptune, a pirate movie star, to finally arrive right on the shore to the sea and admire the whole port from a dedicated area.

Matt was delightful, informed, kind and created such a fun experience for my mother and I. He shared so much history and personal experience along the way. He took his time to teach us first time segwayers and was super encouraging. We got to experience so much of Genova and were able to go back to places using the paths he laid out for us. Honestly such a unique and effective way to tour a city. And if you are the people who tend to do a hop on hop off tour then use it as a way to later further explore certain sites, skip it and do a Segway tour instead because you get a much more personal experience and get up close and personal with the sites. Matt was an excellent guide. Knowledgeable and very caring of our safety. We started with a quick lesson and we were off touring the old city. Many narrated stops along the way. It was a fun way to see all of the sights and to hear the history behind it.

Matt referred to himself as a mother hen, or the likes, looking after his brood. He certainly did that! My wife was anxious as she had never tried a Segway before, and we’re not young, but Matt took his time teaching her and making her feel comfortable. We navigated our way around many interesting areas with Matt assisting us to do this safely. He was a wealth of knowledge and shared this knowledge very enthusiastically! My husband and I had never ridden a Segway before and I got little bit scary at first. However our guide Matt, he is the great teacher so I mastered in right away! I strongly recommend this tour since the Genova is big city and has lots of slope so the walking tour is pretty tough. Also Matt speaks English fluently and gave us excellent explanation about history and culture of the Genova. When I toured it was little bit rainy, Matt lend us the raincoat. The rain did not bother me because the tour was too much fun:)
I was nervous about driving a Segway but the tour operators were very patient. The tour around the city was very informative and it was nice to see it from a different angle. By the end of the tour, I was much more confident on the Segway. Definitely a great way to see Genova.

First time on a Segway and absolutely loved it! Matt shared facts about Genova in an interesting and funny way. I only wish it wasn’t so short as it’s such a great way of moving around that I just wasn’t ready to give the Segway back.
This is a great way to see Genoa and it was fun too. Getting onto the Segway was a bit daunting at first but after a few minutes we got the hand of it. The guides were great and the tour provide interesting information about the city. We highly recommend this tour - do it at the start of your visits as it give you a good base for exc-lording the city.

Matt was our guide and he was amazing! Very friendly and encouraging! I was a bit nervous about driving around on a segway but Matt made sure we all knew what we were doing and we had a few minutes to practice before we were on our way navigating through pedestrian traffic! We all had to wear helmets too. Matt took the lead as we zipped up the mountain. He had a bell on his Segway and he warned people we were coming and had a smile for everyone we passed. He gave us the history of Genoa and how it grew as we made our way up. We could tell he loved his city and was proud of it! We would do it again, only bad thing is it had to end! One last thing we weren't sure on where to find it but it's right on the pier by the playground!
Guide made it fun not like a history lecture but as it should be, taking us back and in that moment. 10/10 recommend.

My daughter and son loved it! Wish we had booked the longer one. One hour was definitely not enough to explore the city but our ship left port at 4 pm and they could only choose afternoon. We especially appreciate that even there was only two person (my daughter and son), they did not cancel the activity. Good work ethic.

It 'was a fun way to discover Genoa, the guide is nice and professional, wandering with the segways makes a bit 'boys back, if you have time I recommend the 2.5-hour tour, with the one hour you almost mind getting off at the end, even if it is still long enough to appreciate the experience.
