Fantastic walk around Genoa trying some very tasty treats! Not just one little piece either. Very generous portions. Didn’t need dinner after the tour! Francesco a great bloke and a great guide!
We did a food and wine tour in Genoa and had an excellent time. Our guide Lorenzo was fantastic — fun, outgoing, and outspoken in the best way. He kept things lively, shared great stories, and clearly knows his stuff. The tour itself is highly recommended, and getting Lorenzo as your guide is a definite plus. Highly recommend.
Enjoyed seeing something closer to the 'real' Genoa. Our guide, Lorenzo, was engaging and shared interesting stories. The only criticism was he was soft spoken and sometimes difficult to hear with noisy crowds.
Each stop brought us to a shop with uniquely Genoese food or drink--all delicious and with its own history. Lorenzo, our guide, was informed, fun, and funny. Afterwards, I was able to skip dinner too! I highly recommend this experience
Guide was great and gelato was perfect
My morning tour was postponed at last minute until the afternoon, when it was very warm. I didnt learn anything, really, about the history of Genoa. The guide, nice chap, but very heavily accented, making it less than easy to understand. 4 stops to sample the local delicacies and one for wine ( 2 glasses). Pricey, I thought.
What a great tour! Our guide was friendly and informative. The stops were very tasty and really represented the food and wine of the region.
Lorenzo was our guide and he was great! He is friendly and knowledgable. He told us about the history, and since he grew up in Genoa, it was a very personal look at the city. He was patient with the group, and answered everyone's questions. The selection of food was a nice variety, and we were full when we were done.
We had a great time on the History, Food and Wine tour with Lorenzo. He was knowledgeable about the area, brought us to many wonderful food establishments that we enjoyed so much we returned to them during our stay in Genoa. He personally talked with each of us throughout the tour where we got to ask him questions one on one. Awesome way to see the city and enjoy the food of the area.
Our guide was very informative and cordial. All the meals are basically standing and eating at a food stand. The only time we sat down was to try the wine at the end without food. It was probably as stated in the description but I would have enjoyed some of the food in an actual restaurant for the price.
Kind and knowledgeable guide. The local food and wine selections were outstanding!
Our guide, Lorenzo, was friendly and knowledgeable. The places he took us for the tasting portion of the tour were terrific. Enjoyed it very much
Met Lorenzo at Columbus house and walked along Via Garibaldi. Talked about the history of Genoa. Stopped briefly for focaccia and 2 other breads, then cone of fried seafood, then pesto. All were good, but we had to eat standing up, except for stool at seafood shop. No drinks until fourth stop, wine shop, where we sampled a white and a red and sat at a table in a courtyard. Very nice. Best part was delicious ice cream at the end!
Great tour, with history & food. Awesome.
Lorenzo was an amazing guide! He is so passionate about Genoa and truly gave us a wonderful experience. Highly recommend to anyone coming here!
Awesome Tour Guide! He took us to see the REAL Genova and very grateful for this experience. We got to meet and greet some of the restaurant owners and got to learn some of the historic sites within the city. Definitely recommend it!
We were in Genoa only for one night and it was really nice to join a small group of 7 with Lorenzo. It was a good summary of the town and got to see interesting points we wouldn’t have seen otherwise. We bought a bottle of excellent wine to enjoy that night. Thank you Lorenzo!
Excellent walking tour! The guide, Lorenzo, was funny, charming, and able to answer all of our questions. The food and wine were delicious, though our group included a few vegans who didn't get much at a couple of the stops, and the atmosphere was relaxed. Overall an excellent thing to do near the start of our trip as it gave us a feel for the city!
Lovely experience, Lorenzo was a knowledgeable and friendly guide and provided a great introduction to Genova. Would recommend messaging in advance if you have any dietary requirements, and ask for accommodations :)
Very good story, food, wine. The wine store in paticular.
Lorenzo was Great! Nice Food and wines!
We had so many laughs and the food was delicious. Focaccia, fried seafood, gelato and pesto…all amazing. We didn’t want it to end!
Lorenzo was an amazing tour guide that was very informative not only of Genovese food and culture but also the history of the area. He took us to a few spots that were off the beaten path and required special access so that felt extra cool. Would highly recommend!
Lorenzo took us to a few street food places. All were good. More pasta variety would have been a great addition.
We had a fun taste of Genoa with our charismatic guide, Lorenzo. The group was nice and small so we could get acquainted with each other and not feel like we were clogging the sidewalk. We got to sample delicious breads, fried fish, pesto, wine and the unique local coffee ice cream. Lorenzo helped to make sure my food allergies were conveyed to the restaurants, which was very kind. Along the way we were also shown a few architectural and cultural gems hidden behind the high defense walls of Genoa. We even got to meet the canine Doge of the city and pat him on the head :)
Lorenzo was a wonderful guide who was so passionate about his city and Genovese food. Due to a fault of my own I missed the beginning of the tour but Lorenzo kindly contacted me with instructions on where I could pick up the tour.
This was a great blend of history, sight seeing and food and wine. Lorenzo was an excellent guide, and he grew up and lives in Genoa. The food and wine choices were excellent and delicious. Well worth the time and a great value too.
Great food tour. We enjoyed Focaccia, Pesto, Wine, ice Cream, and the best Calamari Fritti ever. A nice mix of sights, history and food. You can tell that Lorenzo is passionate about his town and being a tour guide, he was great. Would highly recommend this tour when in Genova.
We went on the 2+ hours food and history walking tour through Genoa. Lorenzo was our guide- very simpatico, very funny, very knowledgeable and a very proud Genovese! We had a great time tasting a couple of breads , some fritti, gelato and a red and white wine. It was just the right amount of walking to get to know a little corner of Genoa.
Comprehensive, informative and satisfying. Our guide was light hearted and kept it chilled but also covered everything he needed to.
It’s a great way to see the city and experience some of the culture through food and exploring the city. Our guide was very knowledgeable, personable and did a really good job of including everyone and answering our questions.
Lorenzo gave us the best walking/food experience we have had in Italy Seriously suggest that you take this tour
This was a most wonderful food tour with delicious foods and history, 3 beautiful churches were included! Each person got a good portion of food. Lorenzo was knowlegeable and thoughtful during the whole tour and would recommend this tour to anyone!
Lorenzo was an amazing guide!! Extremely good English. He was also very personable and knowledgeable! There was a total of 6, including my husband and I, in this tour. Small tour size made it easy to ask questions and get around the city (I was especially thankful for this when a huge tour group walked by that looked like a cattle line in headsets). Genova is a beautiful city and I highly recommend taking this tour!
This was an great tasting of MANY local foods and wines. The absolutely surprise to us was all the local history, architecture, and fun facts shared. This tour was second to none in that category! We even got a lovely list for extra tips and recommendations to enjoy Genoa following the tour. Highly recommend!
Plenty of great food and some vino together with a walking tour of the old town. Perfect for a few hours in Genoa
Nice wine and excellent food. Tour Guide was pleasant and knowledgeable. Bring good walking shoes and an appetite.
What a great tour guide Lorenzo was. He was so kind and made the tour interesting. The food and wine tasting was just enough the whet the appetite. He was able to accommodate our non-dairy dietary intolerance at each stop including the gelateeia where we had the most delicious chocolate sorbet! The two hours was just enough to give us a quick taste of Genoa so we could further explore on our own after. Thank you Lorenzo!
We hit the best hidden gems of the city with the most passionate guide. I'm confident in saying this is the best food (and sights) tour of the city.
Lorenzo was a great tour guide! We all had a wonderful time and it was just the right amount of food.
Great tour of the historic center with a very personable guide! Tasted the best foccacia (crispy and soft!), gelato and great local wines.
Lorenzo was amazing! We learned so much about Genova. The churches are so beautiful. Then there was the food, wine and dessert. Our best tour so far.
Food and wine in Genoa is really good, the city is beautiful and our guide was fun and friendly.
What a terrific tour. We got more than expected out of our two hours. Lorenzo is an absolutely fantastic guide. We learned a great deal about Genoa and its history and especially appreciated the fact that Lorenzo shared so much information about life in Genoa today. Finally, the food was outstanding. This was one of the best tours I’ve taken.

Very informative and fun. Lorenzo spoke great English and was full of interesting information about Genova. The food stops were great all very appropriate for getting the real flavour of Genova. Great way to start the holiday!
The tour combines Genovese history with its own food and wine- a great combination. Our guide Lorenzo was very knowledgeable.
Lorenzo was so informative and kept us all engaged. Food and wine was a very nice treat. I highly recommend Lorenzo’s tour of this beautiful city!
Lorenzo was an amazing guide, the tour was very informative, we got to see multiple cathedrals, and quaint little spots we would have never found on our own. You get a decent amount of food, and also some wine and ice cream, both were amazing. Highly recommend booking this tour with Lorenzo - he was also very funny!
