Geneva: Private Cruise On Lake Geneva With Aperitif

Julian, our Captain, contacted us early the day of our excursion to confirm drink preferences which was very nice and helped confirm the very favorable comments others had written. He was very friendly giving nice commentary along the cruise and the time on the lake was perfect (to include the weather!).

This is a great way to see Geneva in a unique way. It’s easy to find the boat - it’s a large dock-like shape with a black frame and the host, Julien, was keeping an eye out for us as we wandered around the shore looking for him. Julien is a fabulous, knowledgeable host and will point out sights around the lake as you enjoy the beautiful views and clear water. You can also swim off the boat or just let your feet dip into the lake as you enjoy wine or whatever drinks you choose. Highly recommend!

We had such a wonderful time cruising around Lake Geneva with Julien! It was a private tour so we had the whole pontoon type boat to ourselves. Julien is a native to the area and was very knowledgeable. He shared history with us as well as recommendations for places to eat and drink around Geneva. He is so friendly and was very responsive. He even reached out the night before to ensure he had the wine that we wanted on board. There was some construction going on around the dock and we got a little lost and he came and found us. Definitely recommend this tour and Julien! It was a nice relaxing cruise!

We had a great experience on this cruise! Julien is super knowledgeable and gave us a lot of fun information as we enjoyed our time on the water. Glasses were always kept full, had snacks, and got to swim in the lake. Highly recommend!

This is a lovely tour and feels like a hidden gem - an essentially private cruise of Lake Geneva with fantastic views and a wonderful tour guide in Julien. Cannot recommend highly enough, we had a great experience and he was very communicative and easy to talk to. Gave a great local perspective on Geneva and had some great drinks and snacks as well!

What a pleasurable time we had aboard this boat. Our captain was gracious and showed us a lot of sites around Lake Geneva. While we did not go swimming- we dipped our feet in the water as we headed back to the Marina. Highly recommend.

This is an amazing opportunity to get out on Lake Geneva in a private upscale boat! The boat, itself, is very unique because it is sided by clear material which allows unobstructed views from the comfort of plush sesting. Many options of drinks to choose from to toast your luck at being on such a great lake excursion. The ship's captain is also the Owner of the tour company and lifetime Geneva local. He was accommodating, informative and friendly. We had a great tour and would recommend not missing this unique and enjoyable tour.

This was a fabulous trip! Julien was so accommodating and was able to move our cruise up a day as we had some changes in our schedule. He provided excellent guidance on how to find the boat. Whilst on the cruise he had wine and snacks for us and pointed out the landmarks in the area. We didn’t bring our swim suits but we were able to put out feet in the water for a little bit which was amazing! We had a great time, I highly recommend this experience if you’re in Geneva!

Very nice and knowledgeable guide. We enjoyed our tour around the lake and learned about the city. We only had a day in Geneva after a very active two weeks of hiking. It was nice to relax and still get oriented to this lovely city.

What a fun afternoon with Julian and his boat. The lake is just beautiful and Julian was charming. It is fun to see Geneva from the water side. Take your swim suit if you want to take a dip, although just putting our feet in the water was wonderful on a hot day. It was a great way to end a vacation!

My fiancée and I are visiting from California and got engaged the day before we booked this tour, so we wanted something relaxing and memorable to celebrate. Patio Boat was exactly that. Julien, the owner and our driver, was fantastic. He’s originally from Switzerland and started the business two years ago, and his passion for it is obvious. He shared so much about Geneva and Switzerland throughout the tour, genuinely knowledgeable and easy to talk to the whole time. We went out around 5:30 PM, which I’d recommend. Even with the heat, the shade on board and the breeze off the lake made it incredibly comfortable. He also served champagne and snacks, a really nice touch for the occasion. This would make a beautiful proposal spot, or just a relaxing, unique way to experience one of the best cities in the world. We’re already looking forward to coming back next time we’re in Geneva and can’t wait to see this business grow. Highly recommend Patio Boat and Julien.

I was very happy that the boat had a roof, but it's also retractable if you want to be in the sun. Julien had great information to share and stopped for us to spend some time jumping into the lake. The most amazing and unique cruise! Julien. The young skipper is easily likeable and leaves a lasting impression on his guests. The boat and the whole experience is his brilliant idea. Uniquely it felt as if we were in a sitting room to have a most relaxing time. My daughter couldn’t resist jumping into lake Geneva to swim round the boat! Really appreciated Juliens effort to make contact the day before to try and find out what drink we would enjoy during the cruise. Julien was an excellent boat captain! He was knowledgeable on many topics of Geneva and Switzerland in general. The swim in Lake Geneva was well with the experience!

We wanted to do a boat tour of Lake Geneva. After exploring the many options, we chose the Patio Boat. It was the absolute right choice! It was the perfect way to cruise around Lake Geneva. The boat itself had comfortable seating and we could easily move around to see and photograph sites from every angle. Julien was the perfect host- inquiring in advance what types of beverages we’d prefer and giving us warm, personalized service and attention. His knowledge of the area made even the slightest things interesting. While I have nothing against going on a bigger boat with lots of other people, having a private tour made it all the more special. It was an easy, relaxing way to spend a few hours in a beautiful location. I highly recommend it.

One of our favorite ways to see a city is by water. What better place to do so than on Lake Geneva! We thoroughly enjoyed our time on the lake with Julien as our guide. The time was so relaxing, views breathtaking, and overall experience refreshing. We would do this again and would highly recommend!

Hour and a half cruise of lake geneva. Julien was great! He showed us around and told us some interesting facts about stuff we were seeing! Drinks were included and we stopped at a place in the middle of the lake to swim! Would recommend this tour!

His boat is very comfortable, and clean, and we had such a great time! The time went by so fast, that our only wish was that it was a longer excursion. A wonderful way to experience the lake and its varied shorelines. The owner has built a very nice operation and is eager to please and educate. We found it a great way to spend the afternoon of “Day 1” when you are tired but need to keep going. His selection of wines (included in the charge) were vet nice to include several from Geneva.

If you are visiting Geneva, this boat trip is a must! We departed at 10am and it was a perfect time - not too hot and quiet on the lake so we could enjoy the trip. The views are beautiful. Julien was a fantastic host and very knowledgeable. He also acted as a last minute wingman for my partner who proposed to me in the middle of the lake! Julien played some lovely music and filmed the proposal. A boat trip worth every penny!

Julien was a fantastic guide and consummate host. He heard what we do for work and immediately tailored the tour information to what would be of particular interest to us rather than purely generic information, which is a sign of a skilled guide. He also handled the occasionally strong wake well, which was initially a concern for my sea leg-less friend. All around 5/5 or 10/10, highly recommend!

My husband and I absolutely loved our time with Julien!!! His boat is so different. It is very open all the way around for a full viewing experience. We sat on comfortable, cushioned chairs. Julien contacted me the day before our cruise to ask which drink options we would like to select. He met us at the dock on time and had everything ready to go. He offered blankets if we needed them (it was a little chilly outside as evening was approaching). We were the only 2 people on the cruise, and he gave us the full experience . He pointed out and talked about the various points on the lake that he took us to see. He also explained things about Genevan culture and the intricacies of living here. He even had maps to show us as he discussed certain topics. Julien answered all of our questions and then some. It was such a relaxing and enjoyable 1.5 hrs. I would highly recommend him if you want a different type of ride on the Lake.

The entire experience was very serene, Julien has a wonderful cruise for a private experience, the drinks along with the views and the opportunity to swim or just have a quick dip in the lake makes the whole experience extremely fun. Julien is flexible giving an informative and a relaxing tour overall. In my experience this tour is a very good value pick for the price. Highly recommend for couples single travelers or a small group. Best way to tour lake geneva and take in the sights.
