A lot of people were on this trip ( 2 coach fulls) and as with a lot of these trips sadly no thought really goes in to disabled/ inform people ( for example enabling the first row or two for those with mobility issues) . A few of us said we’d have like more time to explore Chamonix…45 minutes meant a very rushed bite to eat and no time to explore the shops there. Cable cars up the mountain and the views from the top literally breathtaking , we were blessed to have a lovely clear sunny day and very much a moment to remember, highly recommend. After that we were all walked through to the Old Town in a hurry because we had to catch the train. That, again, was very tough going to keep up and in hindsight the train was so busy and an anti-climax having been on the cable car, and it was even busier coming back down. I chose not to go down to the cave because there was a lot of steps and having been inside a Glacier in Iceland didn’t feel like I was going to miss much . In hindsight or if I went again I’d skip the train and enjoy more of the very pretty village. I’d recommend taking some food with you as there were very limited opportunities to eat and it's a very long day

This just a bus ride. Period. The so called guide hand us a map, the he chat with the driver. Later after almost in Chemonix he talked stating he is grow up here and we are 10 minutes to the ski left and sort of explained what time we have to meet him, and how to get around. Seriously! Even with a single cell of brain can figure that out. My expression that this is a guided tour, and he would explained all. How it’s built, the city, etc etc…
Overall, a fantastic day out. Long, but fun, day. Our stupendous guide, Chris, met everyone at the coach with the superb driver, Tom. Off to Chamonix, where the huge vistas come into view once you leave Geneva. Once in Chamonix, Chris walked us to the cable car station, handed out tickets and thoroughly explained what was available and the times to meet back, etc. The cable car rides were amazing, with views to die for. Once at the top, visibility was severely restricted dur to the clouds, but that didn't take anything away from what was on offer. Cold, snowy, rare air...just what we expected, really! Back in Chamonix we had time to grab lunch, then meet Chris again to head to the mountain train that takes you to the Mer De Glace glacier. Again, stunning and worth it. Back to Chamonix, again, a quick hot drink in a cafe then the bus back to Geneva. All in all, thoroughly recommended. Our guide and driver were both excellent, with Chris being extremely informative and helpful. Take the opportunity if you're in the area.
Chris our tour guide was great and gave great suggestions on how to see certain things first to allow for the most time for other activities
A fabulous day trip from Geneva. Guide was fabulous and knowledgeable. I couldn’t recommend this trip more.
The tour was terrific. Antione (Tony) was great! Clear communication, a lot of interesting commentary, and a well planned itinerary. He gave excellent directions and kept us well informed on timing. Overall, a great tour and well worth it!
This was an excellent excursion. Our guide Chris was very knowledgeable and kept us informed. All the sites were so fun. Highly recommend!
It was an AMAZING experience! Our guide Chris lived in Chamonix so it felt more authentic, he gave us interesting facts and kept us entertained with his own stories and experience. It’s a long day but definitely worth it to see the beautiful view of Mont Blanc and see the ice caves! Chamonix is gorgeous too!
Great tour and loved our (French) tour guide Antoine. He gave us sobmuch information about trip logistics and all the places we visited. If you book this tour please book the cable car and cog train otherwise you are missing out on seeing Mont Blanc and the surrounding Alps as well as Mer de Glace and the Ice Cave. As always Trip Advisor tours are the best.
This tour was very well run and the tour guide really looked after us well. The timings were excellent, with just the right amount of time allotted to each activity. The trips to the top of the mountains were well worth the expense.
Memorable trip. The guide ( Anthony) was fantastic. The views are amazing.
Great day out with lots to see. Not much 'free' time in Cham (nota complaints, just be aware schedule is tight if you include all options)
Chris was a wonderful guide! When my Uber driver got stuck in traffic and I was 5 min late, they got me on a different bus and he met me at the drop off in Chamonix. I am so glad I didn’t cancel. This trip was the highlight of my vacation. The weather was awful (very low visibility due to snow and winds and -2 degrees C), the panoramic part was closed, and we couldn’t see a thing going up the cable car. A couple of people experienced altitude sickness. Bring a warm jacket, gloves, and wear comfortable closed toed walking shoes. The experience was beyond words…the ice cave and the charming Chamonix and even the snow all made for a once in a lifetime experience.
The tour guide was great. Very informative. I absolutely recommend the cable car up the mountain as well as the ice caves. Even though it was a long day, we didn’t have any time to visit the village. The schedule was tight and we barely had time to make the meeting points for the next thing. An additional 1–2 hours would have made it perfect.
This was an amazing tour! The views were phenomenal up on the mountain. We really enjoyed going to the glacier - it was so beautiful!
Great day out starting with luxury coach trip from Geneva Bus Station to Chamonix. Took ski lifts to Mont-Blanc viewpoint in the morning and mountain train journey to view Mer de Glace glacier in the afternoon. Not able to visit highest viewpoints or Ice Cave due to adverse weather conditions but nevertheless had a very enjoyable day out. Well organised tour by Key Tours SA with a very knowledgeable local guide. Highly recommended.
Bring warm clothes should be included in the reminder. Otherwise, this was an unforgettable experience we ever had.
The day was long, but I clouded a lot of interesting things. The tour group is large and you go between lots of modes of transportation, so don't bring a large backpack if you don't want to carry it all day. Bringing a warm jacket is recommended for the mountain time, but it gets hot down in the village. The line was long for the glass box at the top, so get in line right away to ensure you aren't late.
Entire trip and agenda was perfect! Our guide Chris was wonderful with just enough info plus some great suggestions.
When we booked we thought it was quite pricey, but the trip was well worth it. Well organised and the tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. We were fortunate as we had perfect weather. Would recommend to others.
A great experience. Amazing views with an very informative guide
Some of the other reviews alluded to the same issue. The locations and activities were great but there was a lot of wasted time waiting for the group or there wasn’t enough time to do a few things when we did want. The tour guide, Chris, was very good. Always helpful and knowledgeable. The pickup/droppff and bus transportation was fine. The bus on the way up had a great panaromanic roof to see the mountains. The bus we had on the way back didn’t have the extra windows and the temperature was very warm. The bus ride took about 90 minutes each way. No WiFi. The waiting started as soon as we go to the first Midi lift. The company has no front of line access so we waited an hour to even get on the lift. Then once we got to the top we were unable to do the glass floor photo option or go to the actual top of the mountain because the wait was 60 minutes to use the last elevator. The entire point of the tour was to see the top of Aiguile de Midi and we couldn’t because in order to continue to the tour we had a immediate return lift that we again had to wait for. Very disappointed. We did have a short 1 hour lunch break in town where we enjoyed a nice lunch. The second part of the day was taking the train to the Mer de glance glacier. That was near. Unfortunately we only spent maybe 15 minutes there as we were again rushed to wait in line for the return train. Overall I was not impressed with the lack of front of line access you normally get paying a third party tour and poor time management was annoying. More than half our time was spent waiting in ques or waiting on the group. I plan to return but would NOT do this tour again. If you get a bus/train ride there, everything is walking distance and has great shops all through town. The company offers no special access and you could literally do everything we did in half the time and actually see the main attraction without having to wait on the group.
An all around amazing experience!!! We loved every minute of the day!! From the cable car ride to the freezing top of Mont Blanc…to the exploration and lunch stop in Chamonix…and the mountain train and visit to the ice caves…to our guide Chris…all of it was exceptional!!
The tour was overall good, and many thanks to the tour guide also, but there was A LOT of standing around and waiting. If I had known this I’d have just done the trip myself without a tour guide. Many thanks nonetheless.
The views of the alps and the ability to get right up near the top was awe inspiring. A bucket list item for sure! The town of Chamonix was lovely. The tour to the glacier and being able to see the glacier from within was interesting. The bus ride was comfortable. Our guide did. Fantastic job of leading 45 of us to each lookout point and keeping all on schedule. I would have loved more time in town to wander, shop, have a leisurely drink etc. Perhaps an extra hour. The organization from the tour company at the bus station was confusing. This could have easily been managed with a few signs.
Well organised and well run tour. Tour guide Amil was kind and knowledgeable. Views at Mt. Blanc were amazing and Chamonix was lovely.
The guide Chris was very good answered all our questions and queries we were very satisfied with the tour.
BEWARE!!! Do NOT GO With this company! The bus they booked did not even open the door at the bus station so all Of us waiting to board. I asked the boy who was wearing a red jacket by the company if that was the bus and he replied NO! Meanwhile the bus take soft empty and they want us to purchase tickets for another bus couple of hours later. She even yelled at me that I’m supposed to know. Meanwhile the boy is just sitting there. We had to wait 2 hrs and pay additional tickets.
I hate heights and cable cars even more but know I had to do this trip-. Marina was an excellent guide taking through the day really well. She gave us background on everything about the area, mountain and lots more. The surprise for me the trip to the glacier (or what is left of it), it really shows the impact of global warming. 10 hours is a long day but really enjoyable
Fantastic experience that was well worth the trip and cost. Our guide Chris enthusiastically led our tour and provided local knowledge. Le Mont Blanc and La Grotte de Glace are incredible, you won’t be sorry!
The guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. She answered all the questions we had and was enthusiastic about the places we visited. She kept us moving so we could maximize our time and communicated clearly the meat up times. The views on the mountain were breathtaking and the ice cave by the glacier was amazing. The village of Chamonix was enchanting. This was a not to be missed experience!
The guide was extremely good. He did a great job.
The puck up & drop off was timely & the tour was great
It was just best to experience. I am in love with Nont Blanc and definitely coming again. Amazing mountain, wonderful place and very cute town Chamoneux. Big thank to our guide also he was very nice person🤗
Be wary of weather. We encountered rain, sleet, snow and wind for most of the day. The guide was excellent except for his haranguing about global warming (scam) and kept us informed about all that we saw. The bus was comfortable. The cog wheel train was fun and the history of the area was quite interesting.
Beautiful sunny day in the town. But the temperature drops as you go up the mountain. Be prepared. Absolutely wonderful views
We had a wonderful experience with Keytours. Some people are picked up at their hotel, others meet in the centre of Geneva at Gare Routiere between the main train station and the Brunswick Monument right in front of their office. There are a number of tours operating from here but they do a good job of checking that you are on the correct bus. Our guide and driver were excellent, very friendly and informative. I thought that the price of the trip from Geneva to Chamonix was expensive but by the end of the day I changed my mind. The guide was with us for nearly all of the trip except when there was free time to explore which gives a sense of calm and reassurance. The views on both excursions from Chamonix were fabulous. It is worth waiting until a day or two in advance of your preferred date before booking to mitigate against bad weather which could really ruin the trip. It was a fabulous experience.
Awe inspiring experience seeing the alps in their glory. David did a great job "herding cats" since he was responsible for 2 bus loads of tourists
It was a very long day, but quite worth it. The top of the mountain was worth every part of the experience. I would also check the weather. The railroad was not running so we could not have a chance to experience that and therefore ahead too much discretionary time in Chamonix. If you’re only objective is to go to the mountain, there may be other options available. Our guide Tony, however, was quite engaging knowledgeable and was able to control our crowd in a very scared manner.
Antoine great! Lovely way to see the French Alps. Amazing views! Can be chilly so layer. Missed train ride due to maintenance, but still a great trip.
Absolutely brilliant trip, was worth the money even though it was cloudy. Our tour guide was so helpful!
A great day. Weather was very good with clear visibility.
Amazing! Worth every Pennie’s!
Great service. Nice hotel pivk up
Book the gold booking which includes cable car up Mont Blanc, glacier caves, transfers, guided tour round Chamonix. Toni our tour guide was fantastic.
It was an exciting day. Our tour guide was very attentive and professional. It was cold on top so wear layers. Fascinating. Extremely clean. Streets and buses. Loved it.
They had a wonderful trip to Chamonix and Montblanc. Key tour Operator arrange for us to be picked up at our hotel near the airport. We left early morning getting to Montblanc around 10 AM. We took the ski gondola up to Aguile du Midi. We spent time up on observation platform before heading back down to Chamonix for a great additional lunch at Le Poele. After lunch, we took the cogwheel train to the Mer di Glacé and ice Cave. Our expert guide named Otto was quite well informed about the area having lived here.
I just wanted to feedback on the recent Geneva to Chamonix tour I experienced with Keytours in March 2026. I usually do not go on guided tours, but as my time was very limited in Geneva and it was my first visit ever to Switzerland I decided to take a chance to go on this guided tour. We had a really amazing and positive experience. Initially we had booked the return trip + Mere de Glace only and were pleasantly surprised that we could upgrade the excursion for the Agullie de Midi on the tour itself, as initially I was a little apprehensive about it. This flexibility was priceless and we didn't need to spend time queuing up to buy tickets at the venue. We were also offered and given adequate breaks during the day. Both the Agille De Midi and the Mere de Glace views were breathtaking. We were fortunate to have good weather and could see the peak of Mont Blanc clearly. The tour was punctual, and we had plenty of time to look around and spend on our own which was positive, as some guided tours have more activities packed/ less time and a person can feel very rushed. The tour started at 08:30 and we were back at the Geneva Bus Station at 18:30. Finally, our tour guide Christos was amazing. He was patient, informative, and did everything to make the day positive and memorable with all his local knowledge and his mountaineering experience. I am looking forward to returning back to Switzerland soon and also experiencing other tours via Keytours.
Guide was friendly and informative. Activities were amazing and as described. Also time on own was appreciated.
This was a 10/10 experience from start to finish! Tony was a phenomenal tour guide who was very knowledgeable, fun, timely, and helpful in answering any and all questions. The tour was structured with a great timeline that was followed down to the minute. We had plenty of space on the tour bus, lots of time to explore Chamonix, Mont-Blanc, and the ice cave. We were always given two options of return times to the group for flexibility of time spent in each area. We did end up hitting 5.5 miles of walking (including 10 minute walk to and from bus meet up) so make sure you have comfortable shoes. Make sure to look online at the temperature for the tip of Mont-Blanc versus Chamonix. We had about a 40-degree F swing between the two. Would 100% recommend! I will remember this experience forever
