Hotel Longemalle

Extremely disappointed as leave this hotel. I travel the world for business and this is the first 1 star review I have ever written and I will not be choosing this hotel in the future. Upon arrival I was asked if I would like a baby crib brought up to me room. I answered “sure” as this trip I brought along my wife and baby. Upon checking out I was hit with a $45chf charge per night for this crib which is about $80 per night in my home currency. In all of my travels I have never once had to pay for a crib let alone not be told upon checking in that there would be a fee? Through out my travels I’ve stayed in 3-5 star hotels and this was a first. It’s not quite about the money and more the lack of respect for their hotel guests that they would charge for a crib. I will not be returning nor will I be allowing the company I work with to book any of our staff at this hotel moving forward .

Rooms are very small, just be warned, they are clean and nicely decorated however. The service is great! The breakfast is not very good…just fyi. Location is excellent!

Best location and beautiful rooms, but very disappointing breakfast. The hotel’s location is excellent and the rooms are spacious and comfortable. However, the food service is far below expectations for a hotel of this category. Breakfast is extremely weak — limited selection, poor quality, and not at all what you would expect from a 5-star property. The croissants taste like supermarket products, and the cappuccino is honestly shameful. It feels more like a basic 3-star breakfast setup rather than a premium hotel experience. I strongly recommend skipping breakfast here and going out to one of the many nearby cafés instead.

Unbelievable experience. I paid 100 KD as a prepayment for extra services, and now it’s just gone. No explanation, no apology. Staff were lazy and completely unhelpful — one of them even rolled their eyes at me. Breakfast was pathetic, and the location is surrounded by begging people and chaos. This hotel ruined what should have been a relaxing stay.
