Our guide Maciej was absolutely fabulous. It takes a lot of skill to showcase a piece of dark history and have your travellers come away thinking it was the best day. His knowledge and understanding of Stutthof, together with informative information about Poland itself during WWII, had me coming away with a deep desire to find out more and with a sense of compassion of what the Polish people have been and continue to go through. Thank you for one of the best tours we have had.

Our guide was very knowledgeable about the history of the country of Poland and the concentration camp.
I highly recommend this tour. Communication with the tour provider was good. The pick-up was quick-and efficient. The guide prepared us for the tour at the Stutthof museum with interesting and relevant history of Gdansk/Danzig during the transport from Gdansk to Stutthof. During our walk around the museum, the guide presented the story of Stutthof Concentration camp and its horrors, in a knowledgeable and interesting way.
Mathew not his Polish name was sensational! Very informative and accurate Very clear and entertaining
The tour guide Maciej was very kind, friendly and knowledgeable. He knew a lot of facts about the history of Gdansk and the concentration camp. He met us at our hotel and took us straight to the camp and back. It is not easy to get to otherwise.
This tour is so much more than a trip to the Stuffhof Concentration Camp, We started with a fact filled tour of Gdansk and a visit to site of the Battle of Westerplatte before heading to Stuffhof. Our guide's tour was detailed, informative, and it will generate an emotional response leaving you to ponder how this could have happened. We were taken to an incredible small, family run restaurant for lunch where everything is proudly made with care and love. This was an unexpected bonus on our trip. Finally we spent some time back in town and was able to experience the welcoming nature of the Polish citizenry. Our guide, Maciej is warm, knowledgeable and engaging, I am confident you cannot find a better tour.
This was a great tour of strutthof. The tour guide was extremely knowledgeable, on time, and did a great job. We would not have had the same experience had we gone to the camp by ourselves, without the guide.
An absolutely brilliant tour from start to finish. We were collected from hotel in a comfortable mini bus, and the tour started straight away when Maciej shared interesting information about Gdansk and it’s history all the way to Stutthof. Maciej was extremely knowledgeable and passionate about Gdansk. It cannot be easy to tour a group around a concentration camp, but Maciej did this with so much knowledge and respect. Would highly recommend this company, and will definitely be booking another tour with them when we return to Gdansk. Thanks again Maciej.
A wonderful yet sobering experience brought to life by Maciej. The tour started the minute we left the hotel, with a history lesson from a gentleman clearly passionate about the history he was sharing with us. The fact it snowed during our trip only emphasised the hardship experienced by anyone entering the gates into captivity. They were treated with immense cruelty and worked or starved to death. It is a good thing that people like Maciej are here to make sure their suffering is never forgotten. Thank you so much for your time today Maciej, it was our pleasure to spend it with you. This tour operator was so good. Maciej was our guide. He greeted us so warmly at our hotel. He was just amazing from the minute he picked us up. He was extremely knowledgeable about every aspect of what happened in this camp. He is passionate about his work. Thanks so much to Matthew!
Very straightforward pick-up and drop off at our hotel in Gdansk. Ride out was comfortable and warm. Our guide Tomasz gave us a very knowledgeable tour and was able to provide tons of backstory for the site as he led us through it and had a wealth of information and stories to share with us. Would highly recommend this tour if you are interested in the history of the site.
Maciej was a very engaging and knowledgeable guide. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone interested in history
I will admit that when we arrived at the concentration camp and the signs prominently state that entry is free, it struck me as a bit odd that this tour is so expensive. But, I quickly stopped thinking about that as our professional guide took us around the camp and gave us the highlights which went well beyond the signage and museum displays. Having previously visited Auschwitz and other larger camps, I wasn’t sure what to expect. But this camp, the longest running and the first outside of Germany, has a really unique history that, in essence continued after the war considering what the Communists did to former prisoners for whom THEY decided were “undesirable.” Sadly, it is hard to leave a place like this and think that we as people can ever embrace the mantra of never forget, never again as we have seen genocide after genocide. Still, this is an incredibly tangible piece of history that we cannot forget.
A very interesting and informative trip. The guide, Maciej was very good and answered all our questions and told us so many interesting things, both about the trip and information about the Polish people and culture.
I would give 6/5 if possible. Guide was super friendly and had amazing knowledge about Gdansk and Polish history. We are from Finland and he truly gave us personalized experience by focusing on topics that are related to us. This experience was more than we could have imagined and something we will remember for the rest of our lives!
Matthew picked us up from our Airbnb on time. He commenced his tour immediately filling us in on the history of Gdańsk. We arrived at Stutthoff and began a very informative tour of the camp. Doing this tour on our own would never have delivered on the unique insight that Matthew provided. We highly recommend that you book him.
Beautiful experience. Maciej, our guide, was very precise and explained everything in detail, while also addressing all of our questions. We definitely advise this tour if you will spend your holiday in Gdańsk. Marco&Martina
Excellent trip by Macie. Brought my teen son with me for the trip and both of us appreciate the deep history telling by him. Many of the exhibited materials are only available in German or Polish or Russian and he is able to translate and interpret for us, making full use of our time there. I enjoyed chatting with him as well on the geopolitic of Poland in the context of the current Ukraine-Russia war.
What a great tour! Our guide Maciej was so knowledgable of all things Gdansk. The tour started on route to the concentration camp so we received a lot of information. I would definitely recommend this tour if you are in Gdansk!
Excellent trip with Maciej to the concentration camp and very knowledgeable. We had to alter plans due to late arrival in Gdańsk but Maciej was very accommodating and always in contact. Highly recommended must do whilst in Gdańsk.

This tour was amazing. From start to finish a very high standard of guiding by Maciej. He has world of knowledge on everything Gdansk. I would recommend to everyone!
We have just finished our tour with Matthew and we are so pleased that we chose to book with him. From the minute we met him, was extremely friendly and approachable. He was an encyclopaedia of knowledge about Gdańsk and Stutthof with answers to any questions asked. You can see how passionate he is about his role and the history he is talking about, he talks about it on a compassionate level as well as being factual. If you are considering booking this tour, then do it, he will not disappoint. Thank you Matthew!
It was an amazing experience. Maciek knowledge made the tour very interesting. I strongly recommend him and the tour when you are in Gdansk.
Matt has great knowledge of the local area, is great to talk to and more than happy to answer any questions you have. He’s also very punctual and accommodating. I would highly recommend him if you are in the area. What a lad.
Today we have wisted Stutthof Concentration Camp with this amazing guide. This trip is recomented for everyone that have a interessert in learning something new :)
Very very good trip with an incredibly good guide who was incredibly knowledgeable. He started guiding right from the center of Gdańsk. He spoke incredibly good Norwegian, showed relevant books. Brought good tea for us on a cold day. Incredibly good experience.
Guiden var utrolig vidende om Gdansks og Stutthofs historie. Fra optakten fra 1933 og hele vejen gennem lejrens levetid.
Maciej was a very nice and knowledgeable guide. He explained what happened in Gdansk and Poland before World War II while we were driving to Stutthof, which put the conditions in the concentration camp in a historical context. If you are planning to visit Stutthof, you should book Maciej for the guided tour.
Real professional guide and great tour with very detailed information about Stutthof and the history of Poland during the war. Maciej makes the trip something unique and gives a deep insight into what the Stutthof camp was. If you want a trip to Stutthof, this is the best way to get “everything with”, 5 stars away and thanks to Maciej for an unforgettable trip, which would not have been the same without his story/report of the terrible events that took place.
Top quality on both transportation, guiding and other southern areas. The guide spoke good Norwegian and was always available for accommodating
We were 16 teenagers and 4 adults. The tour was tailored for the age group. Skilled and insightful guide, who made the taxi trip very interesting with his stories from the war years. Seamlessly executed. Can safely be recommended.
This was an interesting trip, with a very clever, knowledgeable and Norwegian-speaking Polish guide. A visit to Stutthof can be recommended, mvh Katharina
