The castle was amazing - but i wouldn't recommend 3.5 hours with kids. They were toasted by hour 2 and the tour guy was so passionate that he really didn't care that i asked him multiple times to attempt to make it kid friendly. I would go again - but do a group tour with a headset for 2 hours. They do have a polish-friendly speaking guide for kids - but not English. The guide worked there his entire life and spoke perfect English - he could have used some of those tactics from the Polish version.. but chose not to. There were LOTS of miscommunication issues with the tour guide on this excursion. I confirmed twice that we were going to be picked up at the train station at 10:50 to only be left out there not knowing where anyone was when we arrived. I finally contacted an uber and it was going to cost me $100USD to get to Malbork when finally someone called me back from the agency stating that they would be there at noon even though 10:50 was confirmed multiple times. Then noon came and went and we couldn't find the person - then multiple phone calls again. Finally i called the guy as they sent me his phone number at 11:57 (3 minutes prior and i had already checked my email to see if they sent)... found him at 12:15 and we were on our way. However, he was driving near 100mph as i could see his speedometer and easily went from KM to MPH. Drive didn't speak any english and it was in an uncomfortable car. They knew we had 5 people and with the driver we had to have 3 squished into the middle row as the back row had a car seat and no leg space. My one child did have to sit back there without any leg space and a car seat. I would NOT recommend this - i would get your tickets on your own and forego this excursion due to the lack of communication. if you do decide to do this tour - ensure you have WhatsApp on your phone with notifications on as that is how they communicate - which was never relayed to me and i did have WhatsApp but did not have notifications on, and was not checking there.

Itinerary
Visit Malbork Castle, one of the largest and best-preserved Gothic strongholds in the world, on a 6-hour excursion from Gdansk. The castle dates from the end of the 13th century, and was a seat of the Teutonic Knights Order. The giant fortress required nearly 5 million bricks to build, and was constructed in 3 sections. It is one of a very few strongholds in the world that were never captured in battle. Spend 3 hours touring the Grand Masters Palace and the Great Refectory, and see the many chambers and towers, and also medieval armor and weapons. Hear tales about brave knights and the battles fought between Poland and the Teutonic Order.
Start your trip from lovely Old Town, or finish here, because it's one of the best places in whole Tricity. Definitely worth to see Medieval buildings and incredible sights! This trip is tour to Malbork city, but we also can arrange the Old Town walking tour to deliver you more nice experience during your visit in Gdansk!

We were picked up promptly by our taxi driver and had a very comfortable journey to Malbork Castle where we were greeted by our personal guide and taken round the castle for two hours. The guide was very knowledgeable and did well to avoid a lot of the other bigger groups. We were a little disappointed as the tour was advertised as 3.5 hours and expected to be given time to wander around on our own as we felt that there was more to explore. I get the impression that they’ve had feedback that 3.5 hours was too long but we could have easily used all that time.
Fantastic experience our driver Marek was very knowledge on route to the castle telling facts about the local area. The tour of the castle was interesting but would have been more enjoyable with a quick coffee break as lot to take in and see. Our guide was extremely knowledgeable and a asset for our tour Would definitely use Marek next time we are in the area our other trip was cancelled but this made up for it
The tour guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. She told us all about the castle with specific dates and stories about the history. She even quizzed us on certain aspects of the castle. She also told us about the town of Gdansk and the rich history of it and the land around it. I would highly recommend this trip and tour guide is you are in the area
The tour was well worth the money. Our tour guide/driver told us about everything on the way to the castle, small towns, country side, things we did not know about Gdansk. Once at the castle she got our tickets and showed us around the castle. I couldn't see going any other way for the castle is large to venture by yourself. Our driver picked us up in front of our hotel and after our tour took us to an amber shop to see how amber is processed.
My tour guide was Elvira. She was extremely knowledgeable and was able to convey her information in a very interesting manner. This was definitely one of the better tours that I have taken and would highly recommend this tour to others.
Sunny and hot day. Trip to Malbork castle with highly educated guide Elwira and retrospective view to the history of many centuries ago.
Very knowledgeable and passionate tour guide! Our entire family enjoyed our time in Malbork and Gdańsk.
Our driver Adam was friendly and punctual, he organised a great tour guide for us, our time in Malbork was around three hours, i would have liked to stayed longer as there was still so much to see and do in the castle.
The Malbork Castle proved to be well worth the day trip. Our guide, Elvira, was excellent and relayed to us not only the history of the castle and the region but little tidbits of the area.
I highly recommend this tour. My driver, Krzysztof, arrived to my hotel promptly and was generally delightful . We had wonderful conversations about Poland and the history of the area on the pleasant 1 hour drive to the castle. At the castle, Krzysztof got my ticket, skipped the line, and hooked me up with my private guide. The guide was great. We did a three hour tour of the castle and all the different buildings. He told me about different aspects of the castle's history, and also gave me context about Polish/European/Teutonic Knight history to put it all in context. The castle is beautiful, and fascinating. I felt like the 3 hour tour was incredibly interesting without being dry at all. I loved this tour and cannot say enough good things about it, about Krzysztof, or about my castle guide. Book this no!
My driver, Krzysztof, was absolutely amazing. He picked me up a few mins early and pointed out areas of interest on the way to Malbork. He was worried that his English wasnt good, but I thought it was great. He was super knowledgeable and fun to talk to. I enjoyed his company. The tour guide at the castle, Yolanda, was awesome. I went on a Saturday, so it was very crowed and sometimes hard to hear her, but she was patient and could answer all sorts of questions. Even with the 6 hour tour, there is still so much to see and experience. Next time I'll stay longer and explore more. We even stopped for Perogies and coffee after. Totally recommend this trip.
Our driver was prompt and informative. We enjoyed the drive to Malbork Castle. Our tour guide in the castle was amazing. She was friendly and informative and knew so much about the castle and the Knights. What is important to highlight - price of the tours is realy reasonable. We have chosen non-private option, it was realy worth it. The private tour for sure is more informative but more expensive also. We might think about it when we will return to this place. The castle's original owners were Teutonic Knights, way back when they had their own "country" (territory), up to 1000 of them lived here at one time. The castle holds so much important Polish history and it is worthwhile spending at least half a day there.
Audioguided and well-structured tour of Malbork Castle: clear and detailed explanations, some linguistic errors but absolutely worth it, you totally immerse yourself in the history of the castle and it seems to relive everyday life inside
Everything was well organized Driver from Gdansk to Malbork, very friendly, nice comfortable vehicle, punctual On site, our French-speaking guide Cristina explained the whole castle for 3 hours, exciting
Very nice driver with good knowledge. Knowledgeful and friendly guide on the castle itself. Absolutely worth the money!
Great nice day - lovely weather and fight great castle! It took a while to go through everything but it was worth it!
This medieval castle must be seen. Im 2 . World War II almost completely destroyed and rebuilt with great attention to detail by Polish builders, this castle shows itself in its former glory. You'll need it A little more time to explore the castle. Minimum 2 hours
As the end of our company outing this year, we have to visit Marienburg Castle in Malbork. Our German speaking guide, Mrs Maria Nawojczyk Doring, has brought us closer to the history of this unique castle in a very informative and entertaining way.
We were picked up at the hotel, the same guide Joanna drove to Malbork, I explain in detail in perfect Spanish, every place of the castle. We toured every outbuilding of this magnificent Teutonic castle, it was a good idea to hire this tour, it lasted 6 hours and left us at the hotel there we finished. With the same guide Joanna the next day we did the Gdansk in 3 hour Spanish. Very happy with the tours, I recommend both.
We booked the transfer from the airport to Marienburg and back to Gdansk from home. The airport pickup went smoothly and the driver was very friendly. Anyone who is ever near Gdańsk should definitely visit the Marienburg. A visit to this gigantic fortress, the largest Gothic fortress built with brick in Europe, is definitely worthwhile. Tour is well organized linguistically impeccable brought across, should be a mandatory event for everyone.
