We book a food tour at every city we visit. This tour was fabulous and Bart stands out at the top of our list. Communicative, honest, an expert on food and history, worldly, genuine, humorous, modest. This is beyond the Why, When and How of Polish cuisine.

Bart was an excellent guide! Focused on some sites we would have missed if not for Bart. Great food, full meal at the end was delicious. Drinks were interesting and fun to learn about it. We really enjoyed everything about this tour!
Highly recommend- Bart was funny, entertaining and informative. The food was exceptional and the variety of drinks was a great representation of Polish culture.
We thoroughly enjoyed this food tour with Bart. There were 10 in our tour group and Bart did a great job of making everyone feel included throughout the evening. He covered some of the history of Gdansk and pointed out sites as we walked between restaurants. First stop was beer and Polish charcuterie (enough to be a full dinner), next 2 stops were Vodka tastings and a discussion of Gdansk under communist rule. Last stop was a full dinner - meat, potato, 2 types of pierogies, beets and dessert. Everything was delicious. A very enjoyable evening.
What a great evening. We don't usually book food tours this was a first. We really enjoyed the tour, Bart was very knowledgeable and a brilliant tour guide. We also got recommendations which we wouldn't of thought of otherwise. Would 10/10 recommend. Thank you.
He tells you some great historical facts while showing us some interesting places. Food selections were excellent and the vodka too, of course.
Absolutely awesome. Great food. Great guide. Highly recommend. Lots of Interesting and useful information delivered in a friendly and knowledgeable fashion from a authentic local.
Bart was a fantastic guide. He was knowledgeable and made effort to speak with all of the group. He is also good at walking backwards 😂The tour was a perfect mix of engaging history and amazing food. The stand-out was that we got to experience places that you would otherwise walk past. The 3 hours flew by. Go hungry as there is soooo much good food. A must-do in Gdansk!
Lots of good history. Food was fine, too. A beer with the last meal would have made it just perfect!
Had communication with Bart re this tour on what's app and messenger re suitably for vegetarian. Was reassured it was. Very worthwhile Bart spoke excellent English and gave very useful historical information and up to date situation in Poland. First stop was in the basement of a micro brewery, veggie option was choice of cheese, pickles salad and rye bread, selection of 3 beers to taste.Next stop was a soviet era pub for two vodka shots , mad dog, Tabasco and pomegranate juice then salted caramel. The next stop was a shot of goldwasser vodka and Bart showed us samples of amber he collected and how to recognise real amber We then walked over to granary island, for 3 courses, veggie option was pumpkin soup, pierogi then cheesecake. Overall it was a very enjoyable experience one of which I would recommend
BART was a great host, he shared an insight into the history of Gdansk making it both interesting and often humorous. Our first stop was a beer tasting where we tried 3 small beers and shared a charcuterie board. The next stop was a vodka tasting where we tried 2 flavored vodkas. The third stop we tried vodka with the gold flakes inside and the fourth stop we had a 3 course dinner! We had a very interesting and pleasurable time, food and drinks were lovely. Highly recommend for couples or singles.
Bart was a great guide and made our trip memorable discovering places we would not have gone on our own. Plenty of history along with the food.
This is not a small plate 5 taster tour , this ended with a 3 course meal , the food , the tasters before and the history lesson was well worth the money . Bart was friendly , knowledgeable and well travelled and his knowledge of his home is first class …. Just do it
Great food tour with Bart! Very informative about the history of Gdansk. Made the tour fun, and the restaurants where we ate were excellent.
Meeting place is easy to find. Bart has a wealth of knowledge of the city, and obviously has a passion for what he does. The local places Bart took us to were real gems, we probably wouldn’t have found these by ourselves. We liked them so much that we went back to a couple after the tour…just to sample a few more!
Amazing! Bart was a phenomenal tour guide giving us great information. The food and drink were perfect! Highly recommend this tour!
Bart was an excellent guide. He was very knowledgeable about Gdansk and had a great sense of humor. We really enjoyed trying different foods, beers and vodkas while learning about the colorful history of the city. Take the tour, you won't regret it.
Absolutely worth it! Bart is very knowledgeable, witty, and entertaining; a perfect host. Every stop was well planned and executed. The food was absolutely incredible! The final stop is a full meal, you will not leave hungry.
What a great experience! Bart was the best! Knowledgeable and friendly and fun. He really brought the city alive. The food was so delicious and the local, flavored vodkas were a treat. We really enjoyed each bar and restaurant they were all cozy, inviting and welcoming.
Book this! This was the best thing we did in Gdansk (lovely city by the way). Bart was an excellent guide, very knowledgeable and friendly. The tour was great - plenty of food (and alcohol!) thank you for a lovely evening Bart ☺️
This tour was really fun! Bart gave us some history and told great stories. The food/beer/vodka tastings were really good! I highlyrecommend this tour!
Don’t eat before tour. You will have full delicious meals along with more alcohol than I thought. Our guide Bert was a wealth of knowledge and made this your extra special. It’s a wonderful way to Gdansk!
BART is awesome! Very fun excursion!
What a delightful person Bart is 😙 We had a very informative tour, a bit of history and a lot of food and drinks in very nice places. If you are looking for a lovely night out with some new pals, do go on this tour 🤌
My friends and I came to Gdansk on a cruise, and we were in a time crunch. Bart was so sweet and accommodating, that he sped up his tour so we were able to get back to the ship in time. We loved listening to the history of Gdansk, and the food (and vodka!) was delicious! If you’re in Gdansk, you need to do this tour. I’m sad we didn’t get the slower version because we really enjoyed everything. All the stops were wonderful also
Bart was excellent guide, he had good impact on everybody in the tour and good humor.
Bart deserves his excellent reviews! It was fun, informative and delicious - and a great way to meet people from many different countries.
Super cool tour and Bart, the guide, was incredible. Bart was very kind, funny and super informative. Gdańsk is a great city and the dinner very good.
Bart is one of the most impressive and delightful tour guides we have had. His knowledge of history, and the selection of many places he took us to eat and experience Polish food were fantastic. I can’t recommend him highly enough. Don’t eat all day to prepare for this tour with delicious and abundant food!
Bart was funny and engaging. The tour was the perfect size. The food portions were huge (full meal at the end) and everything was delicious. The beer and vodka tasting was a fun addition! Highly recommend.
BART is a gem. And his love of the country and its history shows as he goes through the tour. Best time ever. Highly recommend
Outstanding tour! Bart is a fantastic tour giude, knowledgeable and passionate about his city and its cuisine. Great value also, i really recommend the tour!
Booking the tour was super easy and delivered on all points. Bart met us near the Golden Gate and walked with us giving historical accounts of Gdansk and taking us to the best places for tastes of Polish food and drink. Loved the basement location of the first restaurant and the food was great, too. We're not avid beer drinkers, but we actually liked the ones that were shared! Next to vodka tasting and a learning session about amber - both excellent. The coca cola vodka was our favorite :) Last was a restaurant with meat, perogies, and soup. A bit heavy for summer and the restaurant I'm not sure had air, but glad we tried it. Bart was an excellent guide and would refer anyone new to Gdansk in a heartbeat. Thank you, Bart!
Great tour with plenty of delicious food and a wide variety of dishes to try. Bart, our host, was lovely and very accommodating to everyone’s needs, making sure everyone felt welcome and had a great experience. It was a fun evening, he also recommended other great places to eat during our stay. Highly recommended!
One of the best tours I have ever taken! The host was so knowledgeable, pleasant, and had a great sense of humor. The food was phenomenal and portions were large. The value of this tour was incredible! We loved every second. Highly recommend!
We could not fault our experience with Bart. His communication prior to our tour was exceptional. The four of us had a great day seeing the sights with this local guide. His knowledge was interesting and comprehensive. Lunch was wonderful. He personalised the trip by showing us lots of hidden gems. Thank you so much for a day that we will not forget.
I booked with Bart directly. Had chats on WhatsApp before we arrived. Unfortunately because our flight was delayed I didn’t get chance to attend. However all the recommendations he gave me for food and beer etc after I let him down were outstanding. Gdansk is the most beautiful city and I will make sure I do the proper Bart’s historical food tour. When we return. What an amazing person and city.
Highly recommended. Bart hosts a very informative tour with a relaxed vibe and great food and drink. He has a great knowledge of both the food and history of Gdansk and Poland. As other reviewers have said make sure you start on an empty stomach! This is not a small tasting at every place tour. Our first stop was beer and charcuterie. Then Vodka and GoldWasser tastings followed by a full 3 course Polish dinner. In between lots of history and discussion. Five stars! Thank you Bart.
A must for any visit to Gdansk. Bart was so funny but also extremely nice and welcoming. I would gladly do this tour again. Come hungry!!!
This was a great tour. The guide/host Bart was fantastic - very knowledgeable, engaging and a great sense of humour and keen to speak to all his guests and find out about their countries and travel experiences. The tour itself was excellent with interesting stops and a good variety of food and drink finishing with a really lovely/tasty meal at then end of wild boar and woodland mushrooms. All the drinks were great as well. Our advice is not to eat too much before you go on the tour as there’s plenty of food on offer. 10/10
If you are coming to Gdansk this is a must! Bart is fountain of knowledge about Gdansk and Poland, and he gave us a very comprehensive tour. The bars and restaurants were perfect and you learn about the dishes, the town and the country. Bart went above and beyond for us, highly recommended!
We were three ladies who booked the Gdansk food tour in June. It exceeded our expectations!! Bart was a fantastic guide! He was pleasant, easy going, informative about Polish food, culture and history, and he really made sure to spend time with everyone on the tour. And the food was fantastic, although I feel I need to fast for a few days now, the amount of dishes we were given! Highly recommend Bart!!!
Bart knows what he is doing🤗 A knowledgeable guide with a passion for history, food and fishing😅
Bart is the most amazing guide! The tour is super exciting - you will see several different food and bar places in the town while Bart is sharing interesting stories and fun facts abouts Gdansk. Highly highly recommended! You will not regret it!
Great experience and wonderful food. Barr was very knowledgeable and entertaining. Would definitely recommend this tour
Wow, this was an amazing evening with great company. Bart gave us an excellent experience, balancing history with delightful humor. It has been one of our absolute favorite experiences in years. We highly recommend it!
I went with 4 friends on Bart's tour and it was one of the best I've been on. The stops were really well chosen. There was a brilliant mix of delicious food in modern and old more medieval buildings and great drinks pairings and tastings. We tried lots of traditional Polish food and everything was fantatsic. Bart gave us some great insights into Gdansk's food history and also the history of the city itself and many of the buildings and monuments along the way. I would definitely recommend. Thanks Bart we all loved it!
Great tour! A little bit of history and Polish knowledge. Nice Charcuterie with the beer tasting. The vodka tastings were a bit different and they were really good. The dinner was amazing and Bart gave us good information about the dishes including tips for making the soup. He was an attentive guide who made sure to talk personally with all of the guests throughout the tour. He also checked with me to make sure what my young daughter would want to eat and made sure her food came out quickly.
Bart was a wonderful guide, really easy to talk to and lots of interesting little bits of history while we were walking. Really enjoyed the food and drinks
