We will see it from a distance as a fortified water gate and we will also walk under its treadwheel mechanism.
We'll walk around it and experience incredible theater of figures show held inside, in the transept.

We will meet in the area and cross into the Main Town through this landmark Renaissance gate.
We are going to appreciate this landmark from three angles and hopefully, we are going to hear carillon bells from its tower.

We went on this organised tour around Gdansk this Monday at 2pm, unfortunately I did not catch the name of our guide. The location of the meeting place was easy to find and the guide was early. He was super interesting and had such a passion for the history in his city. We booked this tour for our first day so we could get our bearings. It was such an interesting tour and we would highly recommend it

Very informative guide and lovely tour. I recommend doing the tour at the beginning of the trip so in case you like to go back and visit some of the places you have time to do that. The guide spoke in a good tone. We could all hear him well. He waited for everyone to be ready to listen. Walking pace was pefect. The tour started at 9 am and ended at 11.45, not at 10.30 as scheduled. So if you have other plans you need to be aware that it may run long but you may leave at any point pf course.

You’ll see lots of sights and our guide gave great detail of the history of the city and its restoration. Great tour, but make sure you have your walking shoes on because you do see a lot.

I often find walking tours a bit tedious or guides that are long winded when you’re standing still in hot weather, but this was different! our guide told us fun historical facts, pretty much kept the group moving and was very enthusiastic and interesting. I would definitely recommend this tour

Marcin was amazing! As a tour guide, he checked all of the boxes: entertaining, knowledgeable, organized, attentive. The tour was well-timed (even though we had to re-route numerous times due to an unexpected meeting of Heads of State). Our guide had a clear agenda that perfectly mixed historical facts, local mythology, architecture, and current trends. Marcin even had a local merchant provide a piece of raw amber to support some of his regional talking points. He set a very comfortable walking pace, with numerous points of interest throughout the old town section of Gdansk. A very enjoyable excursion with some hidden surprises along the way.

Excellent guide, really knows his history and enthusiastic about his city. Group wasn’t overly big (about 25), lovely walk about the city centre. Our guide gave us lots of interesting facts about the areas and buildings we passed. Definitely recommend it, try to do this as early as you can, helps to suss out the lay of the city
