We had just been at the bar, ordered a drink each, and paid one of the bartenders, who then walked away to do something else. After we finished our drinks and were about to leave, another bartender called us over and told us that we needed to pay. We explained that we had already paid her colleague, but she asked to see a receipt. Since we didn’t have one, we told her to ask her colleague instead. Shortly afterwards, her colleague came over and confirmed that we were free to leave. So, within the space of a minute, we were effectively treated as both thieves and liars. We will never come back here again.

I went with kids.. there are plenty of outdoor playgrounds for kids that are well maintained and creative. For the kids the highlight was the swimmingpool in the hotel. We had breakfasts and dinners and the meals were diverse and tasty. If I am ever in Sopot with kids again, I will be back.
We stayed at the Sopotorium for a week over Easter 2026 for some rest and relaxation. I have visited a lot of spas previously. The Sopotorium was fantastic and less than half the price of an equivalent stay in a spa hotel in the UK. The best bit were the treatments. There were two price lists: “medical center” treatments and “spa treatments”. They operated as a single system. The quality of both kinds of treatment were excellent. I preferred the “medical” massages to the “spa” massages because they were more technical and therapeutic. The medical massage therapists I spoke to were student physiotherapists undertaking a five year physiotherapy degree. They had already undertaken a two year technical massage education. They were so highly skilled. It cost less than £50 for an hour long, expertly executed back massage. It would have cost at least £120 at a spa in the UK. The “cosmetologists” who do the spa treatments also highly skilled and had trained for years to graduate level. Their face treatments were incredible. The one I loved most was “zoga face therapy”. It was basically 90 minutes of intensive massage and muscle manipulation of the face, neck and décolletage. I went to the “Graduation tower” for 45 minutes every day (basically a room full of loungers where you lie and breathe in air with a high concentration of salt) and had ten minute “inhalations with herbs” where you breathe in a high concentrations of salt through a machine. It definitely had a positive impact on my sinusitis. My partner and I had a comfortable big room at the Sopotorium with (just about) a sea view. One wall was glass so it was light and airy. We booked an “easter package” which was half board with some extra classes and entertainment at night. The food was excellent. It was a buffet breakfast and dinner. I am a vegan which can be tricky sometimes, but the hotel catered for me at every meal, from tofu spread and olive hummus with breakfast to chickpea curry to mushroom risotto for dinner. I ended up eating a lot of food because I would find lots of lovely things to eat from the buffet whilst I was waiting for my vegan food to arrive so I would end up eating both! My non-vegan partner rated the buffets highly as well. There were lots of staff on duty so everything was cleared, restocked and cleaned quickly and service was excellent. I also don’t drink alcohol but there were lots of choices in the bar where we went every night to enjoy the entertainment. My favourite was hot, 0% alcohol mulled wine. There were also some great mocktails and fresh herb lemonade. I had never been to Poland before and the seaside resort of Sopot was a delightful surprise. Miles of gorgeous beaches, lovely restaurants (although we were mostly already full from the Sopotorium buffets) and art noveau buildings. The cities of Gdansk and Gdynia are a 20 minute cab ride away so we went exploring most days after our treatments. The experience of the Second World War museum in Gdansk was profound and make me have even more respect for the courage and determination of Polish people. Overall, we had a fantastic Easter break at the Sopotorium.
We have visited the beginning of this month and really enjoyed our stay, warmly welcomed by all the staff. The facilities were amazing and everyone was so helpful and kind. In particular, we would like to praise the kitchen staff, who cooked such a nice meals and Michael, who was working so hard and making sure all our needs were met and always with a smile. Even when we came late for dinner, he served us, knowing he will have to work extra time. We really appreciate that. Hoping to visit soon again.
Visited on a road trip around Poland with my 8 year old daughter and father (who is disabled). Everything was great (including massage for me and my daughter l). The room was not fully equipped for a disabled person, though. Perhaps I just booked too late.
