Radisson Blu Hotel, Gdansk

Fantastic location right next to Green Gate. Beautiful property, generous size rooms, comfy beds, plenty of seating areas, large amount of closet and space to Open and store your bags. Nice size bathroom. Very kind and welcoming staff. I arrived around 11:30 am and I was just expecting to store my bags and check out the town given that check in is st 3:00 pm. I had mentioned this to the receptionist and she said, your room is ready now, here is your key, enjoy your stay and offered to help me with any other needs. A very welcome and pleasant surprise.

Positives: The location is excellent, perfect for exploring the Old Town, and the breakfast was really good - varied, fresh and well organized. The rooms were clean and comfortable. The negative part was the unequal treatment. The two double rooms on the 2nd floor received a full welcome gift - a relaxation set with earplugs and a sleep mask, a welcome message, and two beers. The two single rooms on the 4th floor, where we stayed, received nothing at all. It's not about the value of the items, but about fairness and consistency. All 4 rooms were booked and paid for by the same company, so we expected the same hospitality standard for everyone. It felt unprofessional to make such a difference between guests from the same group. Good hotel overall, but the management should ensure equal treatment for all guests.

We came to Gdansk for our 30th wedding anniversary and (for that reason) spent a bit more money for a junior suite, thinking that would make the stay more special. There were some positives. The hotel is in a brilliant location. The bar and breakfast area are nice. The breakfast buffet was extensive but without any labelling, so it was a bit of guesswork to know what you were having. Must be impossible here if you have any allergies or intolerances. The huge disappointment was the room. On the 5th floor. Nothing at all like any of the pictures. The size of a 'deluxe' or 'supreme' room in any other hotel. The only concession to a 'suite' was two doing chairs in a corner. There is rot around the bathroom door that hasn't been dealt with. There doesn't seem to be the promised soundproofing. We were kept awake by the neighbouring room. We had a lovely stay, because the city is beautiful, but do feel we have been ripped off by the hotel. Almost as if we were just given a normal room but paid the excess for something we didn't receive. Our first and last stay in a Radisson Hotel. We always avoid the massive chain hotels and we're suckered this time.

We had a wonderful stay and would especially like to thank Anastesia for her exceptional hospitality. We arrived at the hotel around 10:00 AM, and since our room was not yet ready, she kindly arranged luggage storage and later called me as soon as the room became available. As a Radisson Premier member, I was pleasantly surprised to receive a room upgrade, and she also ensured there was a separate bed for my child, which made our stay much more comfortable. The welcome chocolates delivered to our room. It was a lovely gesture that added a personal touch to our stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a great variety of fresh, high-quality ingredients. The restaurant staff were efficient, attentive, and very hospitable, making each morning enjoyable. What stood out most was Anastesia’s genuine care and attention to detail. She made sure all our needs were met and even checked in with us during our stay to ensure everything was perfect. Her dedication and professionalism made a lasting impression, and she is a true asset to the hotel. Thank you, to the entire team for making our stay so memorable.
