This is a nice hotel & very central for sight seeing. At night the restaurants & bars are open late , so if you are not out partying it is a bit difficult to sleep. The lighting in the room wasn't great , could do with brighter lighting , especially for reading or commuter. The shower door was a bit difficult to close. Breakfast was a bit disappointing. A bit disappointing there was no toast & no warm rolls. The scrambled eggs were too salty. There was an option to eat downstairs if the buffet area in the hotel was busy. We got a voucher for the restaurant, the food choice was better but we could only have one juice, orange juice was not included in the voucher or bottled water. I thought that was a bit unfair.

I first stayed here back in 2015, and at that time my overall impression was quite poor. The interior felt dark, the furniture looked old and worn, and the whole place needed improvement. I’m glad to see that things have changed since then. The hotel feels noticeably better now, and my impression is much more positive. The biggest advantage is definitely the location — right in the heart of the Old Town. Location: 10/10 Service: 7/10 Cleanliness: 7/10 Restaurant: 8/10 The design is still not really my taste, but that is very subjective. Overall, I’m glad to see the improvement.
Stayed for 4 nights, booked through our tour operator, great location with relaxing atmosphere. We tried but failed to learn some Polish apart from hello and yes/no but all the staff spoke English for which we thank them and made the stay very enjoyable. Our room in the 4th floor overlooked the main street, was warm with plenty of room to move around and proper storage space. Breakfast was either buffet in a room next to reception or in the restaurant on the ground floor depending on the number of guests staying. Both had a good choice of hot and cold food and drinks. Thanks to everyone for making our stay so enjoyable.
Lovely hotel and staff. A unique style of the middle ages which really works for the rooms and hotel. The breakfast was wonderful with hot and cold foods. The location is perfect for visiting the main parts of Gdańsk. Highly recommended.
Holland House Residence Old Town exceeded my expectations. The location is absolutely unbeatable—right in the heart of Gdańsk’s historic Old Town, with beautiful views of the bustling Długi Targ and just a stone's throw from top attractions, restaurants, and shops. A helpful tip for future guests: the hotel occupies the upper floors of the building, while the ground floor houses a restaurant. To access reception, enter through the door marked “Business Center,” then take the stairs or elevator up one floor. The rooms were spacious, clean, and full of character, with tasteful decor that blends modern comfort with historic charm. We especially appreciated the large windows overlooking the lively street below—it made us feel connected to the city’s vibrant atmosphere, yet the room was still quiet at night with the windows closed. There’s no air conditioning, but fans are provided and worked well to keep the room comfortable during our summer stay. Staff were friendly and helpful, always ready with local tips and a warm smile. Breakfast is served from the restaurant below and was a great start to the day. We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Gdańsk who wants to be in the center of it all without sacrificing comfort or service.
