This could be a top notch place. A lack of air conditioning, though, makes it a “no” for warm months, and while I am normally fine without air conditioning, the extreme road noise in this location makes it impossible to sleep with the windows open. They don’t put fans in the hottest top floor rooms, and cigarette smoke was coming in our room all night long from other balconies. Really not pleasant. My children were awake the majority of both nights and it honestly ruined our whole time in Garmisch. The front desk lady who checked us in was really unfriendly and seemed to despise us before we had even said a word. The pool and spa area are really delightful but we were made to listen to about 5 minutes worth of rules about which towels are and aren’t allowed in which areas, where we could and couldn’t walk, etc. A bit too much for a “relaxing” experience. Breakfast was very nice, with lots of options and comfortable seating. The free drink and coffee area is truly convenient and we really appreciated it after our hot days out. The location (besides being on a main road) is about a 20 minute walk into town, which is very doable and there are a few good restaurants nearby. The mountain View from the room was exceptional and the bed was very comfortable. Finally, it’s not OK in 2026 to mandate nudity in public spa areas. People should be able to choose if they use a towel or not.

The room was fine. However, in August 2026, it will be warm. Therefore, we had to open the door to the balcony. This meant that we had an endless cloud of smoke entering our room from guests who smoked cigarettes on their balconies. And the road noise due to being next to a main road was quite intolerable at night. We asked for a fan, and were told that there were none left. I'm sorry, but without air conditioning or a fan, I cannot recommend this hotel as the noise/smoke means that opening the balcony door for fresh/cool air makes for an unpleasant experience. Plus, when we checked in, the older woman at the front desk took several minutes to acknowledge us, and when she did, it was with an actual scowl. I wanted to like this hotel, but it's definitely not a good place to visit with a family during the summer.
Cute little hotel with excellent service! We enjoyed our stay here and appreciated all the amenities the hotel had to offer. The views were absolutely incredible as we could see Zugspitze in the background. The staff were super communicative and helped us with getting a taxi and getting us around. Really appreciated the breakfast as well. Love the fresh orange juice and then all the different German breakfast options as well as traditional American options. The hotel is set up as a series of buildings so not all of them are in the same location, our room was across the street in a different building. One note I will say is the room we were in was across the main building and it got very loud at night. We had to keep the windows open because it was hot outside but the road that our room was on gets very busy and loud at night. Also, as expected, don’t be a surprise there is no AC, which is obviously common in this region. It was hard to sleep at night due to the extreme heat and no AC or fans, obviously the hotel cannot control the weather. Overall, I definitely would recommend the place. Loved everything about it and especially the service.
Excellent hotel in a great location, within walking distance of the city center and close to some fantastic restaurants. The hotel itself is spotless, the rooms are very spacious, and the breakfast is simply superb. The staff were always friendly, welcoming, and incredibly helpful. The spa area was amazing, with a great variety of facilities and a fantastic swimming pool to relax in. There are also plenty of parking spaces, which makes things very convenient. And the view from the room… mamma mia! Waking up to that every morning was absolutely incredible. Highly recommended!!!!
The hotel has a great location, room aesthetics, good breakfast food quality, and service. The gym area is utilised well and has more diversity than commonly filled tread mill rooms in standard hotels. Dogs are also welcome, it has definitely earned the 5 star rating.
