Dorint Sporthotel Garmisch-partenkirchen

Thank you for your excellent work! We had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the hotel. It’s a perfect place for families and for people who love an active lifestyle. There are amazing playgrounds with lots of toys for children, small pool. If you enjoy sports, you’ll love this place too — there are great facilities for staying active. The staff are extremely friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We really felt comfortable here and had a great time. I’m sure we’ll be back! Highly recommended!

Good value and comfortable stay, with a few drawbacks: We stayed here for two nights and overall had a comfortable stay. Compared with other hotels we found in the area, this was one of the cheaper options, although Garmisch itself is still quite expensive. The room was very spacious, comfortable and well equipped, with a sofa bed, kettle, tea and coffee. The bathroom was also large and had a bathtub. The hotel itself is quite nice, with a good pool and even a nice photo spot. Breakfast was good, and the soup at the dinner buffet was especially delicious. There is also free luggage storage at reception. One of the best things was the guest card, which gave us a lot of value for local transport and activities. The main downside was communication before arrival. We didn’t receive the guest cards in advance, so we missed the chance to use the free local transportation to the hotel. Even after arriving, the instructions were not very clear and we had to ask reception to print the guest cards for us. Overall, a comfortable hotel with good facilities and good value for the area, but communication with guests could definitely be improved.

The hotel looks beautiful and very inviting from the outside, but inside it was a completely different story. The place was extremely dirty, disgusting beyond imagination, and full of insects. It was honestly so unpleasant that it was hard to believe a hotel could be kept in such a condition. The insects and lack of cleanliness made us feel very uncomfortable and unsafe. For the price they charge, it is absolutely not worth it. The exterior is very misleading because it looks attractive and beautiful, but the reality inside is completely different. Honestly, even €10 would be too much for a hotel in this condition.

We enjoyed our stay here. There were positives and negatives. Negatives: The rooms are very, very dated and weren't the most comfortable. We paid for half board and although the food was okay, it got very repetitive, very quickly. A little more info at check in would have been appreciated (re. laundry, the wellness facility, access paths). Positives: Fantastic location with many on the doorstep activities and served well by local buses. Good breakfast. Lovely views. Staff were nice. Lovely pool and a great gym. We hired a tennis court too which was fab.
